that seems kinda silly to me. way better than getting them declawed, crewl ind inhumane imo.

i want one of these

its half serval

I want one too it would keep the neighborhood rat dogs in line

I just fixed a window screen the cats tore to shreds but I dread the thought of trying to put them on the cats

flo doesnt realise she has spikey fingernails, so she often pokes me in the arm with them for ages, is she's leaning on me

but that is the small price we humans must pay if we wish to share our life with little furballs of fun

Yeah, definitely for front paws. Like when they are sitting on your lap and are doing that massage thing with their front paws and think its cool to have their claws out. NOT cool.

I wonder about those half-servals. I mean, what kind of personalities do they have? Do they have any particular kinds of health problems different from an ordinary cat? Would you be able to seek treatment at a regular vet or would you need to find an exotic vet with experience in servals?

They're gorgeous, but I'd have hesitation in the unknowns. Not to mention supporting the capture and breeding of wild cats. Kind of like supporting puppy mills or something...

they are called savannah's and theyve only been around for 20 or 30 years.

from what ive read, they have doglike personalities, will play fetch, and dont mind being walked on a leash.

i havent heard anythng about weird diseases or anything, but i prolly wouldnt take one to the regular vet.

f1's are enormous, but the further you breed them, the smaller and less serval-like they are.

they are really hard to breed aparently, cause it takes a lot of trial and error to get the first litter, and the males are sterile till f4 or so.

so, they are super expensive, 1500 for f3/f4 and up to 20,000 USD for choice f1 males.

ill have to wait till i win the lottery. :(

Thinking of getting those softplaws and getting my wife to put them on the cat.  Last night it ripped the new screen to shreds even though it was Al instead of figerglass
