If Alex is such a high profile person, he may attract media attention if he is audited by the IRS. All Richard has to do is send a letter (anonymous information) to the IRS audit area, naming any dealings Alex might have that could be suspicious. Now if they decide to act on this, Alex will get notified that he will be audited - he will call his accountant AND his old man, and they'll try to placate the IRS. Then if the media gets hold of the news that a high profile person in the Autistic community is about to have his books gone over, then they'll report it in the newspapers.

Happens here all the time.
