Yeah. I'm aware of his health issues.

It sounds like he wasn't going to do anything about it though, which makes me worried thing could've taken a turn for the worse.

The esophagus issue was something the doctors did not want to treat. They thought it would not make a difference, IIRC.

Not a dangerous ailment, but a big nuisance. Don't think it had a positieve effect on his mood and pleasure in life. (understatement)

There was something strange/weird/worrisome going on when he left.

In the SB of the Drivel he mentioned he did not want to talk to me, apart from about his health-issues, because he did not want to end up fighting with everyone. (Paraphrasing here, don't recall the exact words)
