I almost got a ticket last year for flashing my lights at oncoming traffic because of a speed trap,  apparently it is illegal in Ct. I got pulled over and everything no ticket though.

Reminds me of the 2000 (I think) Indy 500. For the first time in history, two women had qualified for the race. And they crashed into each other.

In Sweden it's not illegal to do that, but pigs get very pissed if they see you doing it.

Unfortunately it has become more and more rare that drivers warn each other that way.

People warn each other here in Australia that way. I don't though - my lights are pop-ups and by the time they are up, whoever I am trying to warn have gone past, heh.

I'm relatively close to Cali. I do like Van Halen, the first album I ever bought was Van Halen 1984. Vinyl... and not ironically.
