It’s basically about people who have synthetic dolls as girlfriends. There was a bloke from southern England on it and about three or four from the United States. They were the most barking mad of the lot. Every last one of them need their heads seeing to.
Here’s a more in-depth synopsis (from DigiGuide):

Every single one of the men featured on this programme seemed to be seriously messed up in the head. The way they carefully mollycoddled and had sex with what are pieces of plastic. With no exceptions, every single one of them scared the living daylights out of me… and I’m a bloke!
Guys and Dolls reminded me of parts of a very bleak and violent slasher film called Maniac, where the serial killer in that has dolls. In a dream sequence they eventually all rise up against him.
This programme made for seriously disturbing viewing. If you want television that makes you feel like a good shower afterwards, I nominate Guys and Dolls, for I found it to be a seriously disturbing piece of programming. The scene in which the American chap and his new girlfriend sitting round the table with five plastic dolls is one of the strangest (and creepiest) things I have seen on TV for a long while.
What did I learn? I suddenly felt very normal indeed.

Yes, you can check it on your own, but you need two people. You have to make a sharp turn, while someone (on the inside of the turn) watches to see if the inside wheel spins too fast (if it's being turned by the outer wheel).

It's getting colder and my projects are moving inside, one is a Atlas six inch hobby lathe I have been trying to work out the kinks and find just what I am missing as far as parts go. I only have a three jaw chuck and it's giving me some problems from what I have read they need a lot of screwing around with to get right, does that sound about right. I'm not looking to make anything critical just some replacement parts for some old tools mostly custom fasteners.

As luck would have it, I have experience with Atlas lathes. They were also sold at Sears as the Craftsman lathe. The one I used didn't have a gearbox to change feedrates, you had to R&R the gears to change feedrates.
I only have a three jaw chuck and it's giving me some problems from what I have read they need a lot of screwing around with to get right, does that sound about right.
if it's not running on center, try backing the jaws all the way out, cleaning them, then reinstalling them. If the chuck has instructions for adjusting the jaws, then follow that. If there's no instructions then take it to a local machine shop to see of they can get it to run true (the chuck is just threaded on, you can get it off by engaging the rear drive gears to lock up the spindle the use a spanner wrench to get it off) If that fails, a new chuck should be around $100.
I'm not looking to make anything critical just some replacement parts for some old tools mostly custom fasteners.
The power feed for the carrige is a weak point of those lathes. Make sure the half-nut drive is in good condition.

Thanks :plus: I started cleaning it yesterday not sure when I will get back to it work has become very busy and this is a side project. No gear box on this one either just a ton of gears to rearrange but for $20 I am not complaining. It came with parts to a few different machines and so far I have had a good time just sorting out what I have and getting it to work and all I have had to buy was a tailstock ram. I have a wood lathe in parts down in my basement also which will be next

I admit some of that may be political framing. The "Where is Aleppo?" thing was a big beat up that I thought was pretty unimportant in the scheme of things. He just came across as a bit of a nothing.
Jill Stein? She Seems pretty moral and decent and I think I could probably to at least some extent hitch my values to most of her wagons. But she fucked up too if I remember. Something about flying to the wrong city for a rally or something which seemed about as silly as you can get.

He was an effective governor of New Mexico but had almost no charisma. I don't think he was a one issue candidate, rather a one philosophy candidate, he just wanted to change the direction of the Federal government to stop its growth and perhaps shrink it.
