My favorite dreams are when I am in a public place and I know it is a dream. Like one time I drempt I was in a mall. And my dream had given me the gift of the ability to cum at will. People looked like the ghostbusters did at the end of ghostbusters I by the time I was done. And I was really really grateful because usually when my dreams give me super powers they dont work right and i end up getting frustrated.

A dream I have when I am looking forward to something or have something really important on....I always dream the night before that I am running late due to a series of disasters of varying impact. The end result is in my dream I am late, or miss, or forget my 'important event'....sometimes they can be so vivid, I wake up with a disappointed feeling in my heart thinking I have actually missed the event.
Other times I can wake up so drained and distressed by them, that I feel to exhausted to get ready for the real thing...invariably they are always things I can't avoid going to...so it's interesting.
I'd say I know have this dream at least once a month.

I dreamt that I bit a man's finger off at the joint when he forced it into my mouth. I remember how it felt to my teeth biting down into it and the resistance of the tendons and ligaments and the feel of the severed finger that was still inside my mouth. :puke:

*face down on the living room carpet with my forehead jammed against a fixed object
*by braying my head on the bathroom wall falling off the toilet
*wedged between an armchair and the tv stand, legs propped up on the telly
*on all fours, assuming the position with my head resting on the couch
other memorable awakenings in recent months include running into door frames, headbutting the floor, and standing in the middle of the kitchen balancing a stool on one hand, the other in the sink.
I might not remember my dreams but all things considered its probably just as well...

I used to have these all the time. Mixed in with sleepwalking,
it really caused problems.

i have dreams of going to the bathroom when i really need to pee but am too sleepy. i will dream of peeing so many times i get frustrated that the need to pee never goes away that i actually go to pee.
i watched Waking Life, it's about dreaming and philosophical ramblings, and it's from the makers of A Scanner Darkly, and there's one guy who tells this dreamer dude whos the main character that when he's dreaming he should turn the lights off and if the switch works then it's not a dream, but if it doesn't then he's dreaming and then he can like realize that in the dream and it'll become a lucid dream. and that's what i'm gonna teach myself to do, if i turn off lights randomly then it'll transfer into my dreams and i'll be able to lucid dream more easily.

Dreamed about my old job. I was trying to get to an important assignnment on time and the boss was hovering, talking small talk, making me run late. It was a photo shoot that I would reallly have enjoyed, but he fucked me up again and made me late enough to appear quite unprofesssional.
I was not lucid enough to piss on him, like I needed to.

With toilet dreams, I usually dream that I have to use a toilet that's somehow public; for example, a random toilet in the middle of a store. I get that my quest for a toilet in dreams means my bladder is unhappy, but WTF is up with the lack of privacy aspect? Am I too much of an open book, or what?

Actually, pets are most affectionate when hungry, and second most is a tie for when you're in the bathroom and when you're having sex. It's not just Prozac; I have confirmation from other people with pets that the pets tend to want to be with them at these rather private times.

I think it's probably partly a matter of selective attention; people notice things that seem unusual. I wouldn't say, "Oh, would you believe it? The cat comes after me every time I sit on the couch," although he actually does. Especially when I am talking on the phone. He wants to be near me at any time he thinks I'll give him attention, which I guess means if I stay in one place long enough, or something. I'm not sure, though; he's an odd little critter who thinks I'm some kind of deity. It's hard to apply logic strictly to a creature who's that delusional.

I have dreams often where a tooth falls out. I'd like to keep my teeth for at least another 20 years after all the money I spent on them. So dreams like this really freak me out.

I like it when you have a dream about someone and it feels so real you wake up and feel all warm and fuzzy about them.
Except when it's someone really awful that you would never in a million years even consider being with...have had those ones and then you have to see them and you feel a bit creepy because you had a dream about having sex with them!

I had a rather fucked-up dream last night that tried to be a sex dream but I woudln't let it. I won't go into the details, except to say that there was some perverted jackass- no idea who- who made a rude suggestion, I rebuffed him (no pun intended), and woke up, feeling a little bit creeped out. What pissed me off- to the point that I had a second dream where I complained about it- was that Jack Sparrow was in the dream, but he didn't do anything sexual. He made little more than a cameo in some context I no longer even remember. Come on!!! If I'm going to have a sex dream, why can't it be something thoroughly hilarious like screwing the pirate every woman in America but me has the hots for?
(By the way, the reason I dreamed about the pirate is that I was out with a friend yesterday who looooooves Johnny Depp and has a life-size (or near-to) cardboard cutout of him as Jack in her house, and we noticed another cutout of his pirateness in a different pose, so I of course pressured her to buy it.)

i like dreams where im going back to school with no shoes on, and the highlight of the dream is either when i have to take a bus home, and ride around in the old neighbourhood i used to live in or theres a severe thunderstorm warning durning the schoolday and none of the teachers will let us outside.

I have had 3 exceptionally lucid dreams that have stayed with me forever.
One of the more funnier ones was that Freddy Mercury and I fell madly and deeply in love. Oh and consummated!
Even when I see something about him now, it just reminds me of the dream.

Last night I dreamed that there were these gigantic orange fuzzy spider creatures all over the walls to "my bedroom" (not my current bedroom, but may be one from a house I lived in or visited and can't remember). I wasn't scared so much as pissed and disgusted.

I dreamed about sitting in my garden with a bergamot tea and listening to music, which I do a lot of anyway, or at least I try to, but I often get snagged by the computer, announcing a contact or something and end up here. In my dream it was night, but a full moon and a bird came within an arms distance and preend herself, without being aware of me. I was completely spellbound as if the bird was Mesmer. I could not move, until she was done and flew away.
This morning, just before dawn, as light defined only the very edges of clouds in the sky, I was sitting in my garden, listening to music, drinking a glass of grape juice, when a bird landed next to me and began to preen. It was not quite in arms reach, but I could have leaned forward enough to touch it. I froze completely. As soon as I blinked the first time the bird saw me but did not recognize my outline, I suppose, since I was in shadow. It sat there for over a minute, before it took off.
That was cool.

I don't often have dreams that are clear enough to express in words later on, obviously sex is a common theme, but they're rarely as clear as the dreams some people seem to have.

Some movie-style foggy vapory mysteryy, some are absolutely real and I have good lucidity, and some that explore a whole lifetime, from childhood to the grave in a fantasy life. I also have something like the animation books where you flip the pages past a series of images to create movement in our minds. Those are usually bad dreams and I have no control of the action.
Not all are clear, like I described earlier today.

I think there could be something to this. Even my recurring nightmares are less focused, hazier and harsher (almost like jpeg artifacts polluting a digital image) when I don't get good sleep.
I always dream quickly, when I fall asleep. I don't know if, possibly, I don't need to be sleeping as deeply as some to dream or if I go from wakeful (sort of) to REM in a couple of minutes when I do sleep.

i dreamt Danny and Jack were brothers and had sex. it was really hot. :eyebrows: that was the other night. last night i dreamt about someone's brains being eaten. a girl was doing drugs and fell asleep outside. bad move as a dog came and cracked her skull and ate her brains. she was stupid as a result. people said poor girl, now she's stupid. a cautionary tale. don't fall asleep outside. :P the other night i dreamt about this little boy who was called Randy... or Mike. i dunno if he was my son or something. Craig and John Paul and Spike were in my dream. they sat at the table with me and the boy. and some other people who i don't know.
oh yeah and the dream with Danny and Jack also had a hurricane and stuff. i was in a Thailandish place and there was a hurricane coming. i ran to the subway station because that's how i got there. and there were people and i was like we have to go and we tried to get into the subway and stuff before the hurricane. i could see it forming, it was a water hurricane. good that Danny and Jack weren't there. :P

OK, context:
If you go back and look at my posts for that day, you'll see that I started a topic on women having difficulty getting tubal ligations. Anyway, in the dream, Nomaken (who looked like the male in his avatar) was working in a chekout in a store or something and propositioned me, but I told him that his infertility would be a waste on me and he should share his gift with the world, or something to that extent.
(Hey, I didn't say with, I said and.)
Anyway, I woke up thinking it might be funny enough to share.
And on that note, I dreamed about PeterMac last night, though it wasn't nearly as funny- I dreamed I read a post he put up saying he was getting another dog.
I really need to spend less time on the internet.

Last night was full of thsoe shitty quasi-lucid dreams where you can't tell if you're asleep or just so tired you're hallucinating what you're thinking about.

Last night I dreamt that I was on I-95 and a 18 wheeler suddenly changed lanes and smashed my car into the concrete median. A large scale wreck occured. I ended up in the hospital in a state where I could not talk or move. I could however hear everything around me. After a few months my family decided I was totally brain dead and had them take me off life support. I have had a variation of this type of dream many times actually.
I also have had dreams where my parents die via plane crash and me and my brother are forced to sell their business, house, condo and office building. It takes us a while to do so, and when we finish we split the money. My brother uses it to go through law school. I use the money to build myself a place somewhere kinda secluded and travel. I still work and go to school just not like I am doing now.
Recently I had a dream that I was attacked by a shark and both of my legs were bitten off right above the kneecaps. I had a wheelchair and I would purposefully run over the feet of people I disliked with it.
I have also dreamed of being teleported places (damn me for playing FFXI too much) and have things on my person missing. I daydream of teleporting all over this damn city because I hate buying gasoline so damn much (again thanks to FFXI and MrArgus POS.exe). I used to dream about FFXI constantly. Usually about fighting Vrtra, Tiamat, Bahamut (v2), Odin, Khimaira or something like that with my LS. Sometimes it is about hacking or MPK training tons of mobs on top of CGF. Plenty of dreams of me griefing people basically.

Dreamed I cut my hair rather short (woke up and kinda double-checked that I'd not done it), and dreamed that someone performed surgery on me and removed my ovaires though they weren't supposed to. I was like, "Dude, WTF, what was that supposed to accomplish? I'm going to go inot menopause now! Thanks a lot!"

Didn't read that you are pregnant? If so, you may continue to have the most incredibly bizarre, nonsensical dreams and fears, maybe even paranoia, before your hormones stabilise again, if you are anything like my wife. Some of her paranoia sent me into something near shock at times.
I think it all made her stronger, in the long run. It just made more of my hair fall out.

Last night I dreamed that I was in a crowded casino in Las Vegas when a couple of people were going to try to kill people. I threw a shuriken at one of them, hitting her on the nose.
Also, I dreamed that I ran into an old girlfriend of mine. I told her that I have always and always will love her, and she told me the same. We hugged.
I hate dreams, they fuck my whole day up sometimes.

i had a nightmare. i was part of a superhero group and a granma came to our door. noone was home and she was really weird and grabbed my arm. i tried to shake her loose and managed to close the door. and then i told picard and data and geordi and pals that this granma had come to the door and they said they had also had a granma come and grab them. and we scanned the apartment and found invisible robot implants all around us the grandma had implanted us apparently. then we were going somewhere in cars and this chick from seaquest and superboy was part of our group. and she was suspicious. i figured she was a traitor and took her gun. then i realized it was too easy and she wanted me to have it, i threw it in the snow and got in the car. she was left behind and shot a beam from another one of those guns. it was a red thin beam... lazerlike, but it didn't work because i was supposed to have the other gun. it would have acted as a receiver. so i saved the day. :P but it was a terrible dream. it felt like a mental illness eating my brain, it had distorted undertones. in a normal dream that wouldn't have been scary what happened but in this dream it was all scary because it was a nightmare. i rarely have nightmares. i hate them. i felt scared when i woke up. but then i dreamt some nice stuff and forgot the ill feeling from the nightmare. :)

That sucks, I hate nightmares. Thankfully I don't have them too often. Starting off as a superhero would make it seem like it was going to be good, then it turns bad. I hate that in dreams, when they start off with promise and end in a horrible fashion that robs you of sleep.

it started off bad but the superhero stuff in dreams is quite common for me, i have wacked out dreams all the time. once i went into a transdimensional tunnel with geordi and data, we ended up in a zombie pirate dimension. it was because geordi had to stop to tie his shoes while we were passing through. the tunnel started to shake and we didn't get out in time and had shifted dimensions. the time was xena time period but xena wasn't there. that was a nice dream. i was kinda peeved to be stuck in a zombie pirate dimension but other than that.
i've only a few times had nightmares, i can count them with one hand.

The sorts of dreams I hate are the ones where you are looking for something and cannot find it or you really need to get somewhere and everything is preventing you from doing so. Those dreams are frustrating.

After I saved her, I was sitting down and picking all the glass pieces out of my feet. Most of them were little but some of them were pretty big.

I was on the computer and I lose track of time and then I saw I was supposed to be at work a few hours ago but decided to skip going to work because my brother was going to graduate and then there was going to be a party for his celebration so i went to that instead, the next day I see a message on my cell phone from my boss and she tells me not to bother coming back to work because I am fired. That was stressful because I knew I would have to job hunt again and not have much money anymore as I used to and only get 623 a month from SSI. I kept wishing I never skipped work because I did remember again that the boss did tell me during an interview miss one day of work without calling in gets you fired because she wants serious workers.
For some reason my family and I are living in Washington in our old house I lived in for 9 years of my life and we are having a sleepover there and someone builds an amry tank and he plays with it but it turns into a bomb when he tries to take it down and my mother yells "it's a bomb" and I run out of the house as does everyone else and the bomb explodes in the playroom and the house catches on fire but the fire department doesn't come because they are at our neighbor's houses fighting fires too because their houses were also on fire and then they finally put the fire out in our house and I go in my house to see what has survived and surprisenly the items in ym room are okay but few of them have been burned and lot of the house is okay and there is some fire damage downstairs in the sun room and lot of the stuff wasn't melted and there was a huge hole in the patio where the bomb exploded.
I remember some other dreams too I had that night but they are all incoherent because my dreams hardly make any sense and the plot keeps changing so they are hard to tell in detail.

Actually got in nine hours of sleep last night. This, combined with being on Sudafed, combined with my natural, uh, aweseomeness, resulted in a nine-hour long epic sex dream. Probably also because of the Sudafed, I'm achy all over.

Creepy thing is I also dreamed this gigantic black blimp crashed right in front of me and I had to duck under a car because of the explosion- then I wake up and see talk about a hot air balloon crashing on the morning news. It'd crashed Friday, but I hadn't heard of it, so I was decidedly creeped out.

It is the quickest and softest path to the brain and certain death for any large animal. I wonder if it has to do with the FACT that my hearing has always been my greatest and most acute sense, but my aging is taking that away from me. If so, why would I be doing it to mystical horses? I fucking hate horses!

Well I can't stop listening to the Doors 'The End' and the those darn voices in my head telling me to do bad stuff like give money to Third World Charities.
It was probably from my parent's obsession with cleanliness when I grew up that has led me to cleanse the streets of tramps and Junkies. Taking them home, cleaning them up, teaching them economics and getting them high paid jobs in the financial district. I have 14 of them at home at the moment and too be honest I'm getting sick of their stupid dog eat dog street philosophies. I've been casually leaving Plato and Buddhism books lying around in hope, but all they wanna do is read the Mirror and the Daily Sport and eat dog food. I'm definitely getting real sick of their stupid reinactments of whole episodes of Dr Phil. I've tried to wein them off the dog food with spam..don't want to make them sick the lovelable old buggers (come to think of it they're at that too, they say its less sexual and more about power or teritorial, whatever- I told them if they wanna do it they must do it in the attic only and definitely not in the front yard) Its hard to get them concentrate on their lessons after they've passed around the needle and the spoon or that vinegary wine some of them drink. :)

I can barely remember this one, but I think I was visiting a jail somewhere on the far, far west side of town. It felt like the street never ended, and when it got past downtown the city just kept getting denser and denser. I went into this jail to see someone, but there was no one there to check me in, so I went into the cell, and when I tried to get out they thought I was a prisoner and I had to show them I hadn't been assigned a number or whatever, so they let me out. Then I drove that person East a long way, and I can't remember the rest. That dream made me feel weird, though.

My whole family camping out in the back yard of a house. I can't sleep and take refuge beside the house. Suddenly the entire city erupts in flames... dirty black smoke, and bright red flames are spewing forth from everything. I grab my wife, but it's too late, she's already dead... after it's over, I search my family, they're all dead. Dessicated. Black, and burned to a crisp. I pick them up and they're light because they're nothing but ashes. My uncle's newborn baby is also there, black and crispy.
That dream fucked my shit up all day.

I got drunk and went to sleep, and when I woke up, I was in bed with some nasty old guy. He'd apparently paid me to let him jack me off, so I went along with it, though I was confused and wondering how I'd ended up there (I'd been fighting demons just before that, in a previous dream). He then started psychoanalysing me about why I was ok with it, and then a girl who I'd known from uni came into the room (fully clothed, in the blue cardigan she usually wore). She was pretty and I'd always liked her accent, and she said she'd gotten drunk and woken up the same way too. We spooned to demonstrate how we'd woken up, swapping sides for a through examination of the situation. Then we were flying in a moth towards the Lexx, which was surrounded by a swarm of Mantrid drones, but that's yet another dream.

The guy is someone else I knew at uni, who the girls all liked and who had a really, really hot girlfriend, a mortgage on a nice apartment and a research job that he fit in with uni somehow. i dreamt i went back in time to elementary school. i just sat there watching them do stuff. it was weird. one of the girls sat in front of me. she had always been my opposite, she was good at almost everything except languages and art... and i was good only in those two subjects and never could concentrate much in others. she always looked at me disapprovingly. she was very bookish and organized. needless to say i was disorganized. i was the crazy class clown and she didn't really like me lol. but we got along in a weird way.

I had neat dreams last night. I was in high school, back when I was about 13, except I was an adult and so was everyone else there. There was a couple of big muscly guys bullying some autistic guy, so I ran over and took one down with a flying kick to the chest and punched and head-butted the other one until he went down too.
Next, I was in the changing rooms and was undressing, but the changing rooms were unisex and there were both guys and girls around me, and the girls were showing an interest. For some reason, I was wearing two pairs of white underpants, and once I'd undressed, I headed for the showers. There were three rows of showers, but two of them were blocked, so I shared the remaining row with a couple of girls.
After that, I was in my current house, except it was stripped down to the floor boards and there was a black mamba in a vivarium and snake handler that was taking it out and handling it. When the snake handler tried to put it back in the vivarium, it escaped, chased me down the hall and bit me. I started feeling dizzy as I went down the stairs, and I told the people upstairs to call an ambulance. When the ambulance came, it was full of people who were using it as a bus and just standing around inside it, so I had to drag them out of it and punch them to keep them from getting back on.
Things got a bit vague at that point, but I remember that the ambulance drivers were people I used to know, and that we didn't go to the hospital. Eventually, I ended up in a grocery shop, but I don't recall what happened there. I got woken up by a really heavy hail storm.

The first one was that I was filling in a form on the internet. It was really vivid, atlthough I've forgotten it now. I could remember all the questions and what I filled in though
The second one was that I went to California to visit Sophie, and there were three people from this site there (Callaway, Dunc, and someone else I can't remember)
The next one was about my mum getting married and a toy shop. I've dreamed about toy shops before. What do dreams about toy shops mean?

Last night I had a dream that me and my family were going to Sheffield. We drove past some water and I put my hand in it through the car window. My mum shouted at me for doing that. Then when we got there, there was a really small beach there and I wanted to stay there but couldn't. My mum was meant to be getting married to my step-dad (although they already are IRL), but I missed the wedding because I was in a toy shop. I looked out of the window of the toy shop and saw a really big version of a Russian poster I have on my bedroom wall and wanted to take a photo of it. Then I found an escalator in the toy shop, and went up to the second floor. There was a warning on the escalator saying no children were allowed on it, because it was dangerous. When I got on it it was really fast, and I thought I was going to fall backwards off it and die

Tension tamer tea, had a b vitamin in it, probably not enough to help me remember that dream. Tension tamer tea has siberian ginseng as the first ingredient, I produced that first dream.

This happened some time ago. I was working at a ski resort.
I went out with a girl who was also working there a couple of times, slept in her bed but we didn't fuck.
Next time I saw her she flat out ignored me, in fact she did her best to totally avoid me from then on.
I didn't know why.
A few weeks later I had a dream, whcih was mostly normal (hence forgettable) until she appeared at the end.
I tried to (dream)talk to her, just being friendly, and she screamed "GET AWAY FROM ME!" and shrieked.
That did my head in.

Ok this is so weird.
I was in some old classroom doing artwork with the class, but I didn't know what they were supposed to be drawing. Soph was in this class and asked to borrow a pair of scissors. Some stupid girl I used to know was also there and she was all like "we want you to go away, Soph didn't say anything because she needed to borrow your scissors"
Then it gets patchy, I think I printed off some purple paper and the teacher got all pissed off. I don't remember much more.

So the symbolism of the dream was that there could be ants in your bed? I should find someone who specialises in dream interpretation and see how they react to mine; "So, I was in a Doom level, and I had a chaingun and was shooting imps with it, and I ran over the radioactive ooze to get to the next key, but a couple of barons of hell and a cyberdemon teleported in and started shooting at me, so I switched to my rocket launcher and strafed them for a couple of minutes until they died, but then I was in an elevator, and a xenomorph alien was trying to get through the ceiling, so I fired my pistol through the ceiling at it and ran out before any acid dripped on me, and then I was waiting for a train because I was going camping...".

I think I've had, as an adult.
I was going to say that it seems
stronger than anything I've heard
from anyone on acid, but realize that
I can't fully explain it.
Everything was internally consistent.
There was this girl I was seeing/interested
in (I'm not sure), and she was involved in
acting in an odd movie/psych experiment
whose storyline excited me, mainly because
it involved being alone with another, fairly
pretty thing, who was playing an underaged
character.
I mentioned something about wishing I could be
in the final scene, and she said it could be arranged.
Now, the thing had already been 'shot' and I knew the
ending (which was not a good one), but wanted the
sexual contact, if I could.
Anyhow, everything started out a little bit like
expected, although I was a bit concerned by
the fact that it was all moving backward, at times.
I was in the process of seducing the pair, when I
discovered that the younger girl was really a hermaphrodite.
I knew it was a dream, and continued on, even though she
had two penes, one of which was a very odd color (the
third one was back home in hoboken, and even weirder,
she said :D). Ok, so far it's a pretty weird dream, but
we haven't come to the hallucinations yet.
There was some fiddling around, and I got the herm
to mount the other. She kinda flipped after a while, and
left me to play with the herm, who gave a pretty decent
BJ. I conned the one I knew already, into taking some drugs
she had in a foil wrapper (looked like a candy bar - she claimed
it was like Smirnof Ice. :P)
This accelerated things. The boy (ah - I left him out, very young,
was sleeping, and the most troubled of the lot) awakened, and kinda tackled
us during our sexplay. Now, still following the plot (but getting a little weirder)
one of the toys (a monkey) was armed, and giving us orders. I don't know
how we got out of that part, but I ended up sleeping (after a detailed discussion
about how difficult arrows are to find, and how much worse crossbow bolts.
I woke to one of the other key events. This is where the hallucinations started,
in that the rest, I knew was real. (wow - it's seriously spooking me still). The
first girl had turned male, and elongated, very pale, mishapen, malleable. They
were all around me, taunting. I knew that they were hallucinations, so I kept my
cool, and went back to sleep. Then, a plant dangled into my face. A whole forest of
such tiny fronds, all dancing, trying to annoy me - and they changed into the
kind of stingers that an anemone has. At about this point, I was so disturbed
by the hallucinations that I actually think I bailed from the dream, as I was aware
that I was dreaming throughout.
Ah, nothing like this has ever happened before,
when I invited a demonic lover into bed. I'm not
sure how I feel about this one.

Oh, I did. The problem is, I was feverish (which
probably caused it). Ended up not being able to

I dreamt the roof was leaking so the eating area was wet and there were holes in the ceiling. My parents came unexpectedly to visit and my Dad looked at it and said the wood was falling apart. Termites.
Our apartment was five stories instead of two and we were the third floor up.
The rest that was in my dream I won't say but I will just say when I accidentally tipped the bucket over, the whole kitchen floor got covered in it and I used towels to wipe it up.

I had the greatest dream ever!
I was in a camp or some hotel place where I knew most of the people. Some things happened before this part but I can't remember lol. Ania was there with her family and older sister (even though she doesn't have any sisters irl) and somehow we ended up on a bed together and we were cuddling and stuff :P Then we walked around the hotel place hand in hand and we were just about to kiss but decided to go somewhere else because there were too many people around. So we went to her room where her sister was asleep naked on the bed ( :twitch:) so we were stuck again lol. Finally we went outside near an orchard of all places and were just about to kiss when my fucking sister came into my room and woke me up :grrr:

I dreamed about stars last night. Lots and lots of them. I was at some weird place, and a woman lived there. I was outside and there were lots of trees. and I looked at the sky and was taking pictures of the stars on my phone. They were really clear, more than usual. Then there were racing cars and trains, and I was at a theme park. There was a weird lizard thing that looked like a mini dragon. Then I went inside to buy some sweets and my family were there. We got on a bus/train thing to go home, and told it we lived near Piccadilly. A woman got on the bus and I thought she was going to try and murder us when the rest of the people had got off at their stops.
I don't know what happened after that, but I ended up in a lecture theatre I'd been in in a dream before. And was driving past a big building I reconised, that looked like a mcdonalds I'd been to in a dream in Sale. It wasn't though and I was on a coach. I was going to shine a light somewhere but it would distract the driver and we'd crash, so I didn't.
It was a boring dream, except the bit with all the stars.

Last night I had a really horrible dream. It doesn't sound like it, but at the time, I woke up feeling like I'd just had some terrifying nightmare or something.
Anyway, it started off like some random dream. I was Superman and I was rescuing someone who was being held hostage in a room in my university library. The library was layout like my high school building though, and was actually a hotel with a library in it.
Suddenly, it changed, and I was no longer Superman, but myself. And I was rescuing my kids. I don't actually have any kids (I'm 19), but in this dream, I had two children and had to rescue them. The man who had kidnapped them jumped out of the window and ran off to get something. I knew he was going to come back and I had to save my kids quickly. But I didn't. I ran off, injured, and was trying to get as far away as possible. I got to the other side of the building, and then it changed again.
It wasn't my kids anymore, but my friend who died last year, Sophie. And I was trying to get back to the room she was in to rescue her. The man who had kidnapped her/my kids, was back now and I was trying to hide from him but also get back to them to save my friend at the same time. I went down to the ground floor and tried to work my way across to the room she was in. I got near the library and everything seemed different. One of my lecturers was there, and I told him to get some drugs and overdose. Then I saw a note from Sophie, saying I should have dyed my hair.

I dreamed that I developed a brilliant theoretical model to seperate out extraneous factors in emotions which would allow one to know how one "truly" felt when these extraneous factors were removed.
I think it was some type of path analysis, but that's more a guess based on what I know of path analyses than because I'm sure that's what it was.
I by the way think I'd be fucking WEALTHY if I actually came up with something like that that worked and/or the American public bought into. But it's porlly already been done/bullshitted and disproven a bazillion times.

Actually quite a bit. I call them seg faults (stole it from ballastexistenz). Though a logical incompatibility alone doesn't cause a memory drain - it's the infinite regress that keeps trying to solve it.

I gotta share this from a couple of nights ago because it was kinda funny. I woke up in the middle of the night from having this unnerving realistic nightmare about some family gathering where my mom and I were yelling at each other, and saw that my boyfriend (who was spending the night) was awake, too.
Me: I had an awful nightmare.
Him: Me too.
Me: What was yours about?
Him: I was in a Nazi concentration camp.
Me: ... oh.

I dreamed that I'd been given a bunch of dogs to take care of for the day, and was alone in the garden with them when we were attacked by a big monster thingy of some sort. I didn't know what it looked like for the first part of the dream; I ran away with Waggy and when I went back, all that was left of the other dogs were their skins. I went inside and looked out the windows to try to see what had killed them, and the windows were covered in blood and bits of fur, even on the first floor. Eventually I saw it coming back, and it was a huge, lumbering yeti sort of thing about 5 metres tall. It saw me and started attacking the windows to try to get me, so I carried Waggy up into the loft where I called 999 and got the police to come round with an armed response team, after some convincing, which solved the problem.

I was at the church my family went to when I was a kid. The pastor came up and hugged me from behind and said "You're going to revolutionize my job!"
I said, "What do you mean?" and he started talking excitedly (can't remember what he said).
Later, I was dancing with a group of people outside the church. I was happy but everyone else was dressed in somber matching colors, green and white and blue and black. I was wearing a violet dress. It was Maundy Thursday and everyone started filing into the church like they were in mourning. The pastor seemed really upset so I asked if he wanted to talk after the service. He said his wife had had a baby. (IRL he came out as gay a decade ago.)
I went to see the baby and there was medical equipment everywhere, as if an ambulance had been called and set up a rescue scene on the spot. The baby, who looked more like a toddler, was sitting beside the pastor. I went up to it and held out my arms to hold it and said, "Hey there, you." The baby started to come to me and then immediately started screaming. Thick blood started gushing out of its empty eye sockets and drenched me. I thought, "What if I get AIDS?" and didn't care.

I had this stupid dream last night where in 2007 I was sent back to 1977 by a genie because I wished I was the first person to see Star Wars. Then in 2009 (at this time I'm now 77yo) the Moon breaks up because an asteroid hits it and this is causing the Earth to become unlivible. For some reason I'm part of a team that has to detonate some bombs on certain chunks of the Moon to keep larger ones in orbit but we fail. Then we head to a larger chunk that still has a moon base on it so we can survive and save what is left of the human race.
That shit there is fucked up.

I was shooting horses. I have this dream quite often, but I do not like it at all.
I have a huge pit already dug into the ground and I am on horseback, driving fifty or sixty horses to jump into the pit. I have to whip some of them to get the to jump into the pit, then I pull out a high powered rifle and begin to carefully shoot each one in the brain until they are all dead. It is like an "old days" killing for cholera or something.
I do not understand it at all, but I have had this same dream for about thirty years, every few months or so.
It is welll known that I love/hate horses - I love to look at them, I draw them from my memories, I go out of my way to photograph them and I have very pleasant memories of the ones I have owned and loved, but I also think that they are too damn much trouble to take care of in this day and time and dealing with them puts me on edge - they are fucking stupid and very antsy. I also hate them.
This does not explain why I have this continuing dream of massively slaughtering half a hundred of them in a most brutal fashion. It is pure animal murder that I am committing in this dream.
I always wake up exhausted and very tense and my hands are burning from having fired my rifle so many times.

Last night I dreamed that WolFish got in a fight with me and kicked me out of the house, I had a screaming match with my parents, and I ended up wandering the streets homeless with my first boyfriend. He wanted me to carry his backpack for him as well as mine. We ended up taking refuge in a construction site which turned into a cave, where yuppie spelunkers were making fun of us for not having fancy gear.

The woman I was seeing told me they tore them all down because they couldn't sell them due to the economy. So it was better to tear them down than leaving them in despair and squatters. So the homes got stripped first and then they were all torn down. So the original part of the neighborhood was gone except for the streets and sidewalks. Even the street lights were gone too and the mail boxes. It was also to help the economy too because it would keep some people employed by ripping down houses that are falling apart or can't sell and if someone buys that lot, some people be making money to build the house so that would help the economy a little bit. Luckily my old house was still up. It was the older part of the neighborhood, more of the original part that had all the houses gone.

When I walked "through" my old neighbourhood, bit less than a year ago, it was like that. For a different reason, they were going to build there again. But, everything was gone, bar the streets. Was so weird to find my way to where I had to go. All orientation points were gone. All automatism in finding the way too. Kind of had to imagine me walking the map, and calculate where I was, distance wise, to find where to go. Very, very weird. Almost as weird as a dream.

My dream last night was weird. lets see, I always seem to walk in my dreams, hardly ever drive. Last nights dream was no different, I was walking along side the main drag out here when I could see a train coming. One of my friends who was like this rambunctious hippy girl who hardly bathed asked me to watch her, which was weird because I was really far away from her and alls I see is these dreadlocks do a back flip infront of the oncoming train. after that I tried to do the same thing but don't remember if I successful
Then, when we were done there we saw this stripmall right across the traintracks and it looked like zombies were coming out of the buildings. the police told us to stay back they had the situation under control, and so we did. we left, and tried to hide from the zombies so we found an abandoned house that was really crappy on the outside and most inside exept the basement was really, really nice. I just remember walking down the stairs and feeling each step, as I went down. I do remember floating (not walking) to the other side of the room however to see what was in the jewelery box. :laugh: then, carelessly I hovered back to the stairs without walking and my hippy friend was back upstairs checking to see if we could live there. at the same time when we were looking to see if the water worked, I saw a noodle strainer. it caught my eye and distracted me, then I woke up because the house seemed to be made out of a can of mixed vegtables.

Heather O'Rourke's ghost haunted a house and Bill and Ted were running around and some bizarre stuff that didn't make sense. A vacuum cleaner was alive and evil. It wanted to suck people's lungs out through their mouths.

When I was 4 I had a vivid nightmare of waking up in the backseat of a moving car. It was a seventies model with earth tones. I saw a man driving looking back andle at me and I "knew" I would never see my mom and again. I was relieved to wake up.

Why is the pre-occupation with sex and nudity so much bigger in the USA than in Europe?
Is it because of the puritans we scared off, over the pond?

The loud ones, I have had for months and they evolve, but the really scary ones, which I have had for most of my life, come to me without me seeing them coming.
Horror approaches as slowly as no wind at all, comes to you as uncontrollably as biting into something yopu love and having half your life revealed to you in an instant, having no control of your body, having every one of your nightmares come true in an instant, even the worst of the them, and as disguised as the cold of darkness or worse yet, disguised as what you thought you wanted. You never know when your worst horror can reach into your life and touch you or grab you or take you under its control.

Lots of weird dreams. Someone upset because by scratching a painting she had scratched the soul of her child, still in her womb, someone else shying away when we were talking about that. Tried to find her in a Renaissance like building.
Later I was in a bus, with some relatives, but I sat next to a weird guy wanting me to buy a can of beer from him. All of a sudden I was in a car with that guy, he was driving and he was drunk, had no sense of distance, speed and with of the road. We took a big dive with his sportscar when he overhauled a parked car. I could think how to deal with the coming impact. Bit after that I found myself in spirit telling to my mum why I wasn't at a party. I would be found in an hour, I told her. But it would take people a while to figure out who I was. I was alive.
Weird.

Got.....well it feels distinctly like a gift. Quite different from other dreams, as, after I'd decided to go to sleep for the day, I'd taken a sedative, wanting to get to sleep quickly, and combined with my antiseizure med (itself not used as such here, I'm on it though, but primarily used either for in-patient alcohol detox or for short term sedation/anxiolysis, the two together certainly put me to sleep pretty effectively)
This time, I'd added some valerian extract, which I find has some weird ass effects on dreaming, inducing an intense and continual dreaming state, and whilst being sedating, it seems to make the sleep slightly shallower in some way. It promotes lucid dreaming and dream recall, which is the primary reason, rather than any actual sedative contribution, that I use it. Ordinarily during dreaming, at least during the REM phase of sleep, both the cerebral cortex, responsible for information processing, and the hippocampus, which plays a critical role in memory consolidation, is also, but whilst active, there is a disconnect between the two which explains certainly partially, why our dream recall is for the most part, fragmentary.
Weird thing about valerian is that it seems to make a long sequence of dreams interconnect with each other. So one sometimes finds oneself, whilst in a lucid dream, back somewhere earlier. Someone or something within this one part, gave me some advice. To ask oneself 'have we been here before', during a dream, and concentrate on the idea in a meditative sort of way. I found that after following that course, I could indeed navigate out of past sequence-portions of dream and remain conscious of the fact I was dreaming. And I remember it clearly, hours and hours later. Weird sort of meta-meta dream. To get given advice by a figure within a dream, someone I haven't seen for years, about how to retain awareness in dreams about dreams, in a dream. Actually I'm not in the least sure how many layers of meta- that has. It was certainly peculiar. And it seems to have worked.
I'm going to keep this in mind, see if I can use the valerian as a learning aid at first, in becoming better at lucid dreaming, to train myself in 'technique' in a manner of speaking so as to more capably enter the lucid state without its aid. Along with some interesting things I've read in neuroscience journals, about memory consolidation, dreaming and brain region interconnectivity. Timing, I read the other day may be important in choosing when to dose valerian, if I'm to use it to best effect, in that immediately after memory consolidation there seems to be a neurological lag-phase where this is depressed, after first peaking for several days, then undergoing a sort of downtime, and oddly, some 5-6 days later, more activity related to the pre-lag consolidation phase. As if perhaps things are being filed away in short-term storage, before things are (lag time) tagged for subsequent thorough archival in longterm storage.
IMO there should at the very least be something interesting to learn from the use of both suitable plants or synthetic agents, things like melatonin, cholinesterase inhibitors [pharmaceutical versions of nerve agents, with usually reversible binding to cholinesterase enzymes, since acetylcholine is intimately involved in cognition, memory, amnesia and learning [the military organophosphate nerve agents are irreversible or quasi-irreversible AChE inactivators] there are medical alzheimer's drugs of this type, like galantamine which have also become popular amongst quite a few people for enhancing dream recall, although they do require care in their safe use. I've used it for (waking) memory support before with some success. And biorhythm techniques to help tease out the right times and places for best use of any such tools in lucid dream 'training'
The self-questioning thing, 'have we been here before' though, that is very new to me. Only got that potential little gem about 12 hours ago. Worked the first time, for many hours, dreamingly continuously. Wish I had an fMRI machine, and one that didn't make a constant banging noise and play like shit with metal in my body. radio-fluorodeoxyglucose imaging of comparison images whilst using various herbs, nootropics etc. and their effects on sleep architecture and dreaming.

I dreamt that I got on a TFL (Transport For London) minibus for elderly people, not that I was elderly, and it had a young black driver. We drove off and after about 10 minutes we realised that the man wasn’t driving the bus at all, and had fainted. The bus was driving itself on some autodriver switch. Somehow we ended up in a bus station and I asked someone at a desk if I could give them the vehicle registration number (cos we were still moving) so the police could track us down and stop the vehicle. We continued travelling and I managed to jump off the bus and phoned the police.

And old woman, with a little market stall like platform beside her, full of live animals in containers of various sorts, crying out as though hawking produce, but she wasn't. She was protesting animal cruelty. And doing it by showing examples. I particularly remember her ripping the heads off cats, and taking hold of large, live crabs, and dissecting piece of their shells off, pulling out their eyes and then nailing this crab to a wall through its claw, as if crucifying it.
All the while, railing against animal cruelty. It was surreal-weird and major-league fucked up. That one had me waking up in a cold sweat.

Yeah, that dream was fucked. Seriously, seriously fucked. More fucked than a crackwhore in possession of her own bodyweight in crack. The old woman was PETA-esque, railing and preaching against animal cruelty, only at the same time, doing the things mentioned above, to 'demonstrate' what people shouldn't do.
Fucked isn't even the WORD. That dream was fucked, fornicated, sodomized, assraped, comitted buggery with and left to dangle on a pointy stick stuck up its ass, Vlad Tepesh style, And then repeatedly copulated with. And mated with multiple instances of 'holy shit that is fucking screwed up' I ended up only being able to get back to sleep after first taking a STRONG sleeping pill/antianxiety nuclear option pill (same pill, two effects in that context) and some morph to make sure I STAYED asleep and hopefully, reduce dreaming further. Because sure as shit I didn't want another one like THAT fucking thing. Seeing that living crab having its shell peeled off, leaving its internals exposed, but for a claw to crucify it by....that was nasty. Especially for an animal lover as much as I am.
Just wrong, is what that dream was, Just Fucking Wrong.

I was in the middle of a dream, not a bad one, an interesting one. Was in an autism-camp of sorts, part getaway, part school. I've had a tour of the grounds in an entirely different dream, and been to this place before, the exact same place.
I'd stopped off, this time, again, back in the same overall building/grounds complex, on my way back to my room (after randomly finding some dropped weed LOL shortly before the end of the dream, which consisted of my stopping off to talk to the lab teacher with the school bit, although I was not at it, just decided to pop up, say hello and see how things were going....I very specifically remember that I'd made a suggestion as to interesting and unusual demos and experiments she could provide the lab schooling attendant pupils, although not one of them. She seemed really quite surprised that I ran my OWN, which was why I hadn't been in lessons IIRC, there, this older lady with longish dark hair, kinda wavy, the odd grey hair throughout, giving an appearance of (average) late 50s early 60s, and the specific experiments, I'd been explaining the interhalogens, as a potential for interesting work, albeit she must avoid the interhalogen binary fluorides of any kind, with the possible but by far from certain exception of iodine heptafluoride, getting me somewhat of a look of abject shock when I continued with our talk with instructions as to how to prepare the tamest of the interhalogens (these if anyone doesn't know are halogens, I.e related to fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine and theoretically at least astatine and tennesine, only rather than diatomic molecules of the same element atomic species in pairs, such as F2, Cl2, Br2, I2, there can be more than one other atom, although almost exclusively they consist of two elements, such as iodine chlorides, which was what we'd got talking about, and I was giving her instructions as to their safety, and how they are prepared and how the monochloride can be purified [conversion with excess chlorine gas to iodine trichloride, a solid substance stable only under an atmosphere of chorine gas, then taking away the Cl2 gas, and allowing decomposition into gaseous Cl2 and liquid ICl], and we were talking about safety procedures, I was telling her what glassware joint greases she could use without them being attacked and destroyed, for IRL, iodine monochloride is singularly aggressive to plastics, disintegrating them, of almost all kinds, it turns most greases into something like plasticized cement kind of material through oxidation and absorption of iodine, giving the burnt grease an appearance of grey colored set cement, and ideally to use teflon joints or wrap any glass ones in teflon tape after an underlayer of perfluorinated inert grease, and it attacks stainless steel keck-clips, destroying them quite quickly, rusting them away to nothing.
I'd just had enough time in our chat, to let her know bromine monochloride is an easily condensable, colored gas, that one most certainly wouldn't wish to inhale, as well as the trick of passing Cl2 gas through an aqueous iodide or bromide salt of an alkali metal to give sodium chloride-table salt in solution and then have the iodine or bromine precipitate out, and the way a drop or two of ICl liquid hydrolyzes super-quickly in a puff of gas, leaving a little sprinkle of elemental iodine, in the iodine cases falling down in tiny particles through the water when the dream then was ended by force, a sudden group of gouts of flame trapping me in place coming from the bunsen gas taps and finally the burning gas exploded, blasting out the windows of the building.
And I woke up suddenly, my hip joints in agonizing pain. I think that was responsible for the dream content, the bodily effects on my real world body, of my pain meds running really low and finally getting so low i couldn't lie down, being the sudden flames=the searing pain when I woke up, although in the dream I was trapped, not burnt. And the explosion=the sudden onset when levels of pain med transitioned between enough to relieve pain enough to lie down and dropping low enough that my hips are horrendously painful.

FWM-MSW appears to be making a bad joke, the 'liquorice pizza' being dark and flat, so are records...hence their disappearance on his waking up. The punchline being they are missing because he(?) chewed them up in his sleep and they'd be in bite-sized pieces, hiding out in his small intestine....just waiting to put some teeth marks of their own in somewhere people REALLY don't need teeth being applied to :P
That dream last night (posted about in the other dream thread)...the one with the autism camp/school complex that I've been to before in other dreams (weird in and of itself, exact same place, the same lake in the grounds and the same turns in the very same hallways, the same dorm-rooms...and it isn't even the second time in dreams I've been there, or even the third. Possibly not even the fifth, to the same place. I think I've even got a room on reserve :P)..the dream last night with the explosion in the lab and then I woke up in pain.
(I think the lab explosion bit, where I got stuck in the flames from the gas tapes going out of control and trapping me, and the windows blew out was my pain meds wearing off, and I'd been lying on my side, so there was pressure on my hip...not that my hips NEED any pressure on them to hurt like a complete and utter cunt..since I'd gone to sleep and taken oxycodone rather than the morphine, and its IR, so short acting, and can wear low while I'm asleep, causes a weird REM-rebound that causes continuous, intense and uninterrupted dreaming, often lucid-dreaming)
Unfortunately, it wore right off, and my hip started howling, never mind my being asleep at the time, bastard things'll do it anyway and the interesting conversation I'd been having with their science teacher regarding my (IRL) interhalogen project was cut short by the building exploding (presumably my hip hurting whilst asleep getting translated into dream-imagery), right after me and the science teacher had come up with a decent seeming idea for purifying my iodine monochloride via decomposition of iodine trichloride by allowing it to stand in a still type of setup under inert gas, so it can spontaneously offgas chlorine (ICl3 is only stable when stored under an atmosphere of chlorine gas, otherwise it decomposes to the monochloride, losing Cl2, which I can just let go into an absorbent of some sort, like caustic soda, binding it as common table salt)
(yeah, I know, weird dream to begin with...kinda neat though having a problem solving conversation with a chemistry teacher in a dream and our work out a solution to an IRL problem)

FWM-MSW appears to be making a bad joke, the 'liquorice pizza' being dark and flat, so are records...hence their disappearance on his waking up. I.e dream of food, dream of eating it, whilst he(?) was eating his plastic paedo LPs. The punchline being they are missing because he(?) chewed them up in his sleep and they'd be in bite-sized pieces, hiding out in his small intestine....just waiting to put some teeth marks of their own in somewhere people REALLY don't need teeth being applied to :P

Just woke up, kinda shaken up.
Had this kinda awful dream..it was about lab mice. I don't do animal testing myself, I never have and never will, I think its awful, the things that are done to animals in the name of science, so this isn't personal guilt showing, but I just had this dream.
I was working at a lab, where there were these mice, and they had grown somehow, due to something done there, to be fully sentient, where they could understand human language after continual exposure to hearing it, although not speak, and were as aware as we are, there was a girl there, youngish woman, or if not working there, someone sympathetic to the cause, I might have been a woman myself in the dream but not totally sure, either way, not important. I only ever got a slight sort of feeling, and only my hands showed in the dream, plus a from the back perspective of my head.
Anyhow these mice, they started making attempts to communicate, which is where this other girl comes in. And I'd gotten them out, when they started to protest about the tortures they were forced to undergo, the seeing their litter-mates 'sacrificed' (they didn't put it so euphemistically in the dream) and the awful things the scientists were doing to them all, only these few were able to communicate it, and this girl, another biologist, I remember us kneeling by a fan, and her doing me something like a tarot card reading, with these little engraved and painted chips. Signs like a knight, to signify protection, something dark, signifying 'covert', and something showing a struggle or fight.
Boss of the lab wanted to make sure all these particular mice were killed straight away, so if there was any truth in it, it could never get out, although he didn't believe it, and me and this 'other?' woman, we basically lifted them and went on the run, while this fucker was coming after them, and using these tarot-card like chips, once a day, to guide us, although it was her, the other person running away with these mice with me, who could read the meanings of them, whilst I seemed to have more insight into what the meanings meant in the specific situation, as it related to this escape. And all the while, these little white mice, they began to be able to use their claws to scratch sign-messages into soft substrates, and then to gnaw open a ballpoint pen and dip the claws in the ink and communicate in pictures, protesting the things they had been put through, and basically begging the two of us who had deserted the lab, losing our jobs for sure, in going towards getting them out to begin a legal fight for their and all lab animals rights, not to abandon them.
Then (IRL) the fucking doorbell rang and some courier came with a delivery for my old man, waking me up. Was a bit of a rough dream because of the content, but I didn't try to drag myself out of it, because it wasn't including the seizure 'danger signal' content that by now I have gotten to know is a time to wake up if I can, to drag my ass out of sleep no matter what, I was intending to stay asleep, although I was sleeping shallowly, enough that I could smell the food my old man was cooking, onions and meat being fried in the kitchen even while asleep. Was at that fine balance point where there was no pain or withdrawal effect from my pain meds but they had worn really low and caused a sort of hyper-REM rebound, having not had a morphine shot for a long while and only a bit of my top-up oxy, and when that happens it has a kinda neat side effect, intense, continued and very lucid dreaming, which I have to admit, is one of the really cool things, amongs good and bad points about being on the pain meds. That state, I can get into it by taking the morphine quite a while before sleeping, and at the last minute so to speak, while it'll still help me get to sleep, but wear off rapidly once I'm asleep, then take the shorter acting IR oxy just before drifting off to sleep. When it wears thin I'm more or less guaranteed to enter the hyper-REM continual, intense, coherent lucid dream state.
And that, its definitely one side effect that I'm not sorry to have. It's nice, kinda neat.
Wish I'd had a little more time before that dream was interrupted though, so I could have seen it through. Damned delivery drivers, I had to get up and answer the door, because it was right at the point this woman and myself, we'd just done this tarot cart-like thingy reading, crouching beside an industrial fan and throwing these chips down; not sure what they were, but looked very old, and made of I think, ivory or whalebone. Something like that from the texture. Although, there seemed no sense of guilt attached to using them/having them used on my behalf, since they felt in the dream to be very, very, very old indeed (I have an artifact like that myself, an antique book page-turner made either of ivory or whalebone, capped on one end with engraved silver, and with silver lettering inlaid along the blade-like end. Didn't buy it, rather, whilst doing a spot of dumpster-diving for copper pipe and lead, anything else valuable I got rather luckier than I ever dreamed possible, finding not mere copper and lead, but antique ivory or whalebone, and many, many artifacts of silver, many but not all hallmarked (there were a load of silver buttons, as in the kind that go on clothing, these aren't hallmarked but they did test positive for elemental metallic silver using a test based on roughening the surface of a button with sandpaper somewhere not obvious and that wouldn't present any decrement of cosmetic value; followed by testing the button, after taking the surface off a part to exclude being merely silver plating, and then moistening the roughened exposed lower surface and applying a stream of gaseous hydrogen sulfide (with great care, for H2S is, aside from in low concentrations being responsible for the foul rotten egg stench produced by..well..rotting eggs, hydrogen sulfide is a very, very poisonous gas, that is capable of killing a man with a single breath, or at lower levels, it temporarily paralyzes the olfactory nerve, disabling the sense of smell, which can lead the incautious to believe that the threat from the H2S is no more, whilst in fact one can simply not detect its foul smell any longer; its as deadly as cyanide gas and perhaps all the more insidious for not only being capable of a similarly near instant knockdown and incapacitation of the victim, leaving them unconsciousness instantly and death moments after, and its sneaky way of paralyzing the olfactory nerve and masking its presence.)
Very, very deadly stuff indeed, but on contact with metallic silver, a black deposit of silver sulfide is formed, similar to the tarnish that forms upon long wearing of silver jewellery against the skin, due to reaction with sulfur-containing amino-acids in proteins in and exuded by skin, sweat etc. or with age, and the buttons did indeed turn dark, where the surface had been stripped. Since those aren't hallmarked I doubt I could sell them as is. But would be worth more if dissolved in nitric acid and the acid boiled off to give AgNO3 then the silver nitrate would be worth more than the metal, and I have everything I need to make suffficient nitric acid to do that job and liters more conc. HNO3.

I had the most awesome dream I was on a Christmas cruise with my mom and our cabin was decorated complete with Christmas tree and gifts. And in one of the drawers were funny Christmas costumes like reindeer, Santa and elf costumes. I ate a sugar cookie and could actually taste it.

Being naked at school or work can mean concern about not being prepared or qualified for a project. I have two recurring dreams that haunt me.
In one I am in charge of shooting about twenty some odd horses in a pit and I do not want to, but I have to. For some reason, I have to kill all these horses. It is my job. I have to get it done.
There are always "years" of set up during the dream, while my life continues during these dreams and as this life progresses, in many different ways, I end up being some important person, but as always these dreams end the same way; I have to shoot all these horses. I am above them and they are helpless. I have to shoot them from above.
I can not figure this out. This has never happened. I have never shot a horse. Believe me, I have shot many animals for meat or just for bounty, but never a horse.
I hate dealing with horses, but I love to ride them. I love horses, mostly. I would have a hard time shooting one.
I think horses are awesome and worth many second chances. Just putting one down would be almost impossible for me.
But, twenty something? NO! This is a many times recurring dream that I hate. I know when it starts, too. I can not awaken. It just keeps moving on to the end, and there is nothing I can do alter the course of the dream, but just shoot the horses in the end.

That's awful DirtDawg. Dream interpretation sites say killing a horse in a dream either signifies concern about hurting someone close, or worry one's money is at risk.

Never had a blind dream but have had a fair few dreams where my teeth are falling out. Those dreams are horrible.
There seem to be a lot of different explanations for teeth falling out in dreams, but the most common seem to be either embarrassment or some sort of personal loss.

In my case it's probably insecurity about being so less connected. In my last position, I interacted with every single department, so I was heavily networked. I still have people, and building good relationships, but some of them are external, and it's different because I feel like I rely on more people than I have people who rely on me.

Have never heard of that. First reaction was to consider you are an artist, so it makes sense an artist might think in static image more than the average person, and thus dream as such. It might also mean you're not fully asleep.

I dreamed a group of people were holding an elaborate day-long Alternity LARP at the university my father used to teach at. I slept in until 11:10, tragically, and missed a lot of clues that were caught by players who got there earlier. Then somebody solved the final challenge an hour or so later, and the whole thing closed down with me only just having started. I was terribly disappointed.
Dreams of being late have the obvious interpretation of worry about missing out on opportunity. It can also be a symbol of a need or hope for change in life, so dreams of being late can mean the subconscious is reminding a person they already have green light to move forward with a change. So while on the conscious level one might still be mulling it over, subconsciously they've already made up their mind.

I have weird dreams of being early. Of arriving at work at first light, something like 6 am, and the place being shuttered up. Of getting in and there being nobody around for hours.
Another one is being back at school, like I've gone back to repeat the last two years of high school so that I can get better marks for some reason. And realizing that I have somehow not attended any classes for key subjects and I am hopelessly lost.
Another one is being back at the house I lived in from the ages of about 10 thru 22. And finding out that one of the first cars I owned is still there (behind the garage) and still driveable, and I start driving that around. And it's weird because the car is so old and dusty and has an engine literally 5 times as big as the car I have now (5.8 litres, or 351 cubic inches, compared to 1.2 litres now).
Another one is going back and buying one of the 2 houses I grew up in, and the house being exactly the same as before, just a bit more wear and tear.
I also have "hybrid people" in my dreams. Like someone who is a mixture of 2 or 3 people who have been a key part of my life. Usually female.

I have a lot of dreams of wanting to go to the bathroom and finding nowhere to go or the toilets being removed or broken or absent. And they are very vivid. Takes me a moment to awake a realize that they are just a dream. Of course, then I am awake and need to go to the bathroom! :laugh:

Some interpretations say dreaming of the past is simply from feelings of nostalgia. Another interpretations is that one is presently repeating behaviors from the past, usually wrong behaviors, unless one was wiser when they were younger which isn't likely.

Had one about the movie theatre booth I once frequented. There were three of them and one of them was rusting away. The one that was still functional had a 70mm feature showing but no-one ready to handle the changeover. The film was running and the end of a reel approaching. I rushed in but everything was going to pieces by then.

Wife woke me up at about 4am this morning.
“I’ve just dreamt that the dog (who is possibly pregnant) had eaten a garden hose and we could see the garden hose moving around in her stomach and we had to take her to the vet. Your Dad put her in his car and took us down to the vet and I was having a conversation with him. He told us that we were going to have some trouble with someone living”.
At that EXACT moment her phone started ringing and it was our eldest lad. We just looked at each other and said “oh shit, what the fucks happened?” and similar and she answered the phone almost.
“Sorry Mum. Just arse dialled you from the back of a taxi.” says lad.
“YOU BASTARD!” yells Mum, more out of relief than anything else.
“I said I was sorry!”

I told him my head is giant, like freakishly huge and I don't know why. I was riding in a cab over right hand drive truck with some of the Bosnians I used to work with on the way to a job. It was kinda normal except we didn't have cab over trucks and right hand drive is only on mail trucks in the US.
