No, that's old. Something newer.
Lighters. I have seventeen of them. Some are disposable, but they still make fire.
FIRE!
That's it. It has been since Christmas, (if I count candles, too) that I have had a fire at my side, constantly. I love analog light. I had gone without fire yesterday, because of the temperatures in the seventies Fahrenheit, spending more time outdoors and I ran out of candles. Today I cooked out on the grille and became involved with the fire and enjoyed it.
... and I miss it.
I'm addicted to fire. Wait! That's old, too.
We have a kitten. She takes a lot of time, but she's beautiful. And she's so attentive ...

Not a new addiction but I just realised how insanely addicted I am to the who is online function- just recently I find myself logging off to go do something else (after checking out the who is online page of course), but 30 seconds later I find myself logging back in to take another look.

Sobriety.
I quit drinking again last week. I was sober for over four years. I had begun to goof with my sleep routine (which has not been "routine" since my wife started to work third shift, last fall), thinking that some alcohol at various times during the day might help. It didn't help. In fact I got less sleep than before, but I messed up by changing too many things at once. I'm not sure what went wrong. It helped in the past ...
Plan B is to get totally clean again and try to change only one thing at a time, until I find the silver bullet to kill random wakefulness once and for all. I should be taking my morning nap, right about now.
