So, you feel emo enough to run away and delete your account? Here's what you should do:
1/ PM an admin and tell him/her that you want to delete your account.
2/ The admin replies with a confirmation, telling you, in essence, that after exactly a week, you need to contact the staff again and confirm that you want to go through with this cowardly act.
3/ After one week, you need to contact the staff and confirm your intention to leave us. :'(
4/ After receiving your confirmation, your account is deleted by the staff.
You can stop this from happening at any time, while you're still a member, simply by pretending that you never sent that PM in the first place. A monetary gratuity will help, too. That last thing is a joke.
Should you want to register again, you're obviously free to do so, but your post count and karma belong to the deleted account and cannot be retrieved. Sorry. Not.

Well none of them are locked, locked threads have a padlock on the icon next to the title.

Have you posted so much you've gone up a ranking? Perhaps its something to do with the permissions that were set for that member group- another staff member will have to check that though I can't see those settings.

Kevv, nobody has been locking threads, I just checked the mod log. However I was just having problems myself - restart your browser, I assume its a cache issue as the site now works fine for me again. Then give PI her karma back you paranoiddemented postwhore you. :P

Is your browser set to clear your cache etc when you close it, if not you may need to do so manually kevv. that should sort it hopefully. :thumbup:

I just checked the permissions, too, Kevv, and there's nothing wrong with them. The problem is probably in your browser's cache, just as Dunc said. Weird stuff like this always make me want to investigate.

Kevv, I don't know what problem you were having with posting last night, but no new threads are locked and all your permissions are fine. Do you know how to clear your browser cache? I had problems posting the other day and that turned out to be my problem too, but of course I didn't blame Purposeful Insanity for it. If you can't figure out how to do it when you wake up, we will be happy to help you, but it hurts people's feelings when you accuse them of something they didn't do.

It does not matter that you took your last Cymbalta pill hours ago. It works by staying in your system for weeks and that is why when you start taking it or you change your dosage, it takes a while to become effective.
You need to click on the Start icon at the lower left of your computer screen.
Then you click on Control Panel.
Then you click on Network and Internet Connections.
Then you click on Internet Options.
You will see something under Internet Properties that says Temporary Internet Files.
There will be an icon that says Delete Files. Click it.

When an account is deleted, it reverts to the official Username of the member, not the member's screen name, Eamonn. That is why John Cooper's old posts from the last time he registered say McJ on them, even though he was using several screen names. His screen name was Hiro the last time he deleted his account, but McJ was his official Username.

Strange. The only thing i can think of is when i changed my name back to 'Eamonn', i couldnt gain access and Duncvis sent me a new password. MAybe he deleted my other account? I've only deleted one as my memory serves me.

Yes, confirming account deletion by entering your password would have deleted your account, but I fixed the permissions so that it won't now. Thanks for finding that.

So, you feel emo enough to run away and delete your account? Here's what you should do:
1/ PM an admin and tell him/her that you want to delete your account.
2/ The admin replies with a confirmation, telling you, in essence, that after exactly a week, you need to contact the staff again and confirm that you want to go through with this cowardly act.
3/ After one week, you need to contact the staff and confirm your intention to leave us. :'(
4/ After receiving your confirmation, your account is deleted by the staff.
You can stop this from happening at any time, while you're still a member, simply by pretending that you never sent that PM in the first place. A monetary gratuity will help, too. That last thing is a joke.
Should you want to register again, you're obviously free to do so, but your post count and karma belong to the deleted account and cannot be retrieved. Sorry. Not.
