Title: Have you hydrated today?
Post by: "couldbecousin" on April 15, 2017, 07:02:03 AM
Hyke mentioned this might be a good thread for us to have.  Maybe an admin will stickify it?
I'm hydrating with apple juice  :apple:  and drinking my morning coffee.  I should drink some water too.

I think we have something similar, called Wild Peach.

Speaking of hydrating, I do all the time now. I rarely go out without taking a drink with me or getting one at my destination. Bloody lithium. I'm thirsty nearly all the time. I'm thirsty now.

I've always been a 'zuipschuit' (someone who drinks a lot). One of my kids is the same. She would get so cranky if she drank less than a liter before noon as an 18 month old already. The other needs way less. One of those toddlers that you had to make an effort for to get in half a liter during a whole day.

The latter was way cheaper in diaper costs.

I drank a lot of water when I went for a walk this morning. I put half a bottle of water in the freezer, then when I want it, I fill the rest of the bottle with tap water. It's nice when I'm out to have really cold water to drink.

I am drinking orange juice.

Drinking tea.
Breakfast has happened, kid is out of the door. I'm going to finish this pot of tea and then will het my ass moving.
Have to go to an appointment at an hours distance. Will take a bottle with me, filled with water, slice of lemon, bit of mint and/or lemon balm and last but not least, a few slices of ginger.
Fun bit is I can refill the water and the additions will flavour that too, after a good shake. And I could do that a third time. (Though adding extra lemon would be nice then, because that does lose it's power quicker than the mint and the ginger.)

Shoudn't the spirit generally best be served first, and followed up with a beer? thats how I prefer it (although not whiskey, I hate the shit)

Athough personally if I drink alcohols I prefer ales, or if for an intoxicant simply neutral pure ethanol, diluted to a safe concentration which won't burn with a flavoring of choice, lime cordial workets quite well, rose's or britvic's added to dilute it down to about 70% alcohol works.

I'd rather drink a ml or two of tertiary pentanol (otherwise known systematically as 2-methyl-butan-2-ol) or alternatively for a real wallbanger, 1-ethynyl-cyclohexan-1-ol. Tert. alcohols are superior both subjectively (IMO) in the way they feel in regard to the intoxicant properties and are likely healthier, at least in the case of saturated, non-halogenated alcohol, although the most potent are branched-chain tertiary chloroalkynols, for some reason the triple bond and halogen combination, such as in the sedative-hypnotic ethchlorvynol confers the most powefully intoxicant and more importantly, more qualitatively euphoric properties, as well as muscle-relaxing properties. But the saturated, nonhalogenated tertiary alcohols of medium chain length are likely the healthiest, the tertiary alcohols are not easily oxidized, whereas primary and secondary alcohols are, and get metabolized to aldehydes (in the case of primary alcohols) and some diols (glycols) although not all. And aldehydes are generally pretty rough on the body as a general rule of thumb, whilst sec. alcohols get metabolized to ketones, less unfriendly than aldehydes (compare say, propenal, acrolein to give it its common name, to acetone, and you'l get what I mean, athough unsaturated (double bonds that is, not so sure about metabolic fate of triple bonds in alcohols although I remember that 1-ethynylcyclohexan-1-ol is a pretty potent and irreversible inhibitor of some hepatic cytochrome-P450 series enzymes, IIRC its P450-3A4 mostly. But ene-als and enones can be HIGHLY toxic, above and beyond a simple saturated ketone or aldehyde. Acrolein is a simple enal, and the simplest of the enones, ketene, is frightfully lethal in very low concentrations. To the extent that I thought at one point to maybe make a ketene lamp (these generate ketene, ethene-one, via pyrolysis of acetone, and then lead it into glacial acetic acid to produce acetic anhydride, generally by passing acetone over an electrically heated wire filament, but got as far as reading of the properties of ketone in the pre-study phase and then thought 'bugger that well off, I don't want to die, nor do I want the neighbors to drop like flies in the wake of my own corpse'

*sends ren a stack of large bottles of the gaviscon he has so many of on rx by now, and unopened that they are mounting up in double and possibly triple rows on the floor there now, in addition to on the cupboard tops in double rows of bottles* Plus a selection of some pretty good (and otherwise damn expensive, if it weren't for the NHS here) stomach meds for all sorts of nausea and similar*

Seriously, I ought to list some of that gaviscon on ebay or something, its like £8-something a bottle at pharmacies here off rx, and I must have 20omething or more of them. They've been giving me some of the lesser importance meds of mine at way above the amounts I can use let alone need. (although too fucking stingy with the most useful of them. Typical or what!

Yuck! nor am I renster. Its aniseed, almost entirely. Got so many of them now I sometime even just pour it down the loo so I can wash out and clean the bottle, re-label it and use it as a chemical storage bottle for more innoccuous things. I prefer the aniseed, it isn't so 'white-tasting and angular'

Not a fan of aniseed either.  Not at all. Would prefer lemon or orange or some other fruit.

They make fruit gaviscons? I'd far prefer that too if it existed. Banana would work. Strawberry...just no. If there is one thing flavouring chemistry doesn't seem to ever be able to get right, its 'synthetic strawberry'. I've had the likes of ibuprofen (or paracetamol forgot which) years ago as a kid that was absolutely dreadful looking pink slime and it tasted sickly and repulsive. But they also do a kid's, or did a kid's paracetamol syrup/suspension, brand name was called 'disprol' and it was banana flavour, and if they put that flavour into candies or drinks, minus medication it'd be a fucking winner, that stuff tastes SO good :P

I'd rather it have been tincture of opium given the same flavour instead for my childhood colds and ache, but thats just because it actually works, and even helps prevent coughing in a cold, whilst paracetamol, for any reason, aside from lowering fevers doesn't work. It just doesn't work on me for pain, even so mild and transient a trivial pain as a flick from a finger on the end of my nose, it'd do nothing for even in doses that are the maximum toxicologically speaking acceptable for a human being to take without being damaged. It simpy does not WORK on me. Never has. I've even been given it IV in hospital (I said no don't bother but they forced me to before they'd give me morphine. Even tried to take my OWN morphine away from me, once I caught a fucking nurse rooting through my backpack whilst I was asleep. Woke me up too the cunt. And I'd barely gotten to sleep. She was lucky I wasn't having some nasty dream or I'd probaby have broken her wrist on reflex waking up and finding somebody ferretting through my backpack of property without permission., Tried to continue to do it too, until I warned her that she was going to leave the contents of my pack alone and unexamined, untouched and most certainly unmoved save without seeking and getting my express permission, and it was going to happen whether the hand remained attached to her wrist, or whether I ended up taking it with me, without her coming with it.,

She stopped once she saw the look on my face and realized that I meant every word of it and would cheerfully have taken it into the bog, shat, and used the toilet paper to wipe it with before giving it her back, so she'd take infection if she had it surgically reattached. I don't like sneaks like that AT ALL. I'm surprised that I didn't, since I was only just coming out of a dreaming sleep I didn't respond with a backhander in the mouth. She was actively, furtively looking sneaking around trying not to wake me up, and quiety opening my backpack and rooting around in it for meds, and when I caught her, at least claimed she 'was going to put them in a patient bedside locker' (to which THEY have the key not the patient), at least until I made it absolutely clear that just because I am in a hospital, what I got from my GP's script pad and from my personal pharmaceutical box I had at that time (quite a collection, everything from pharmaceutically produced tabets or capsules of this that or the other to exotic african or amazonian herbs and tree-rootbarks and seeds from around mexico-ways of south america. And things I'd either grown or synthesized according to my needs, and a few legals bought from head-shops) that what I do with them, or how and or when I do them are up to me and me alone and she was going to put them back in the pack before something bad happened.

I'm not so stupid as to trust a hospital with the likes of my regullar medical care when I don't NEED them do mess with things in that group of items OR want them to do so. They can and have fucked me over and left me in a really bad way as a result too many times, more than once to the extent where they sent me away after discharge with so much bloody oxycodone liquid in a big hefty bottle and very high dose morphine XR capsules by the handful on top of my usual two dosage unit strength morphine type and one oxy IR type, as well as oxy IR liquid, more in powder-capsule IR form and several entire pharmacy sized dispensing size stock bottle of chlormethiazole and quite a lot of benzodiazepines, I strongly suspect, because they'd treated me so badly and I'd been left both in such horrible pain I regretted the day I ever had to go in there, not that I had, medically speaking a choice. More than once. And it was left down to some things of my own hidden away like a very potent synthetic cannabinoid dissolved into a cutom E-cig liquid to ever sleep or get pain relief and dim down the opiate withdrawals they forced on me for nearly a week, and that I was fucking furious with them for doing so and treating me that way, that they thought to do that and hope I wouldn't sue them for malpractice, which I was very tempted and close to doing regardless.  Basically they seemed to give me so much of such a variety of painkillers, downers and some various inbetween-ers that they obviously hoped I'd take the haul, and a haul it was and keep my mouth shut. Twice at least they've done that. If ever that happens again, I'll take the lot and sue them anyway.

Local hospital is a real cunting pesthole, somewhere you woudn't want even to go to die when there is a convenient gutter close by in the nearest road with marginally less dog shit in your open wounds, than go there. Awful, awful awful. Unfit and inhumane treatment by the staff. To say nothing of the outright disrespect of going through somebody's stuff whist they sleep. I wonder whether or not the nurse's claim of using the patient locker (rather, sneak-thiefing the meds in the night so they could control them absolutely under lock and key. When I'm quite capable, thank you very much, of looking after and knowing how much I need of what, when, why and better than any of them how the damn things sodding well work for that matter.)

But to rifle through somebody's backpack whist they are asleep, for any reason, that is not on. If they wanted to ask (although they would have had their request denied. Politely, firmly, but absolutely denied, they were free to make the request itsef when at any time they knew where to find me, I.e in a hospital bed, listening to music, reading, routing a laptop internet connection past the censorship and payment demands of their wifi to keep up with my favourite candestine chemistry fora)...but no, they (maybe) told somebody ot try and sneak up on me whilst I slept. Next time I went in to that hospital because I had no choice I locked the two zips of the backpack closed. And I'd have taken it very seriously indeed had especially the same fucker as before try it again.

(and besides, sneak up on an autie with very acute senses of things changing, even whilst asleep? they should know better than to think it too likely I wouldn't catch them at it before they ever touched the thing. I'm surprised the cow did the first time and actually manage to get the thing open without being caught and dealt with pre-emptively as she went for it.)

(couldn't have tolerated her finding things like the synthetic cannabinoid, or the few grams of 3-fluorophenmetrazine I packed to make the time go faster subjectively, and even a couple of blotters of 1-propionyl-LSD, and some 2C-B-FLY presses that were really good quality, strong litte buggers too. Yeah, I know, a shitty hospital isn't ideal tripping territory. But better that and surreptitiouslyl getting baked on synthetic 'weed' in an e-cig liquid whilst I sink into a book on particle physics online, or some chemistry reading than sit there staring at the wall for a week watching dry paint collect dust and shit and vomit, and replace moaning, pained patients and wheezing breathing machines with headphones and youtube plus a big stuffing of CDs and books I'd brought along for the sentence. And yes, that place, its more like a sentence to hospital than a visit or stay in. Its that shitty. Pretty sure the doctors woudn't approve of 'research chemicals' in the 'RC' designer psychoactive sense of the term in the vernacular sense being brought into the hospital and me doing lines of designer speed (the fluorophenmetrazine, really fucking GOOD designer speed at that, better than any other actual speed-speed, or cocaine, or methylphenidate (ritalin) or ethylphenidate (a designer drug version of ritalin and not too bad)

And blight my ballsack and call the transexual virgin fuckin well hairy mary if I'm having them find anything of the kind, and all the less so when they'd probably try and take it from me, or steal it from me if I refused as I would, to hand them over, when the reason they were brought in the first place is because that hospital is such a monstrous shite from a giant satanic hell-anus.

Currently, hydrated ish. Some coke (proper sugary goodness MMMmmmmm :autism: and more cartons of rhubarb and custard milkshake.

Banana Gaviscon would be nice. I remember as a kid having banana flavoured liquid antibiotics for a chest infection. I actually looked forward to having my medicine.

Cough syrups though, were usually quite gross, most being "cherry flavoured just for kids". Yeah, blech.

Cherry flavors I tend to like, unless thats that robitussin is meant to taste like. But cherry drinks I like, and especially big, fat, plump and juicy fresh black or yellow cherries, munching round the seed in the center holding onto the stalks before sucking the last bit of cherry off the pips and spitting them at various amusing targets, if its not indoors of course. Actually they had in the eye hospital for some reason a big fruits and nuts stall with fresh fruit on sale and various nuts, and they sold them far cheaper, to get people to eat healthy I should think than any supermarket would. There, could get not just a little, or even a large plastic punnet of black cherries, all ripe and ready to munch on, but an entire big cardboard carry-crate full about three foot long by about 1. 1/4-1 1/3 of a foot wide and packed full for just £1.50, you'd never find them cheaper here anywhere, in any store. God no, not by a million miles. And not bad to be able to grab a couple of ripe, juicy mangoes and just start slicing them open and gnawing the pulp off using the thick rind to hold it by with my knife whilst I sat in the waiting room to be seen. Quite a filling fruit breakfast could be had for a few pounds. And a tenner you could get so much fruit you'd probably puke it up from both ends at once if you ate it in one serving (no, I didn't  so :P)

Not me, but my bag did yesterday. My friend's mum accidentally knocked her cup of coffee onto it and the floor. I thought she had sponged it all off afterwards but my bedroom smelt of coffee all night. I washed my bag this morning after emptying it of my stuff (I had four pens in there and a whole heap of pain pills amongst other things). It's now drying inside. My bag has been very hydrated. ;)

Does a few mouthfuls of coke, plus a large several gulps of it immediately upon waking count? (the latter for medicinal purposes, before I headed out to pick up my RX med refills. I've got a growing suspicion that my seizures, not impossibly, might be connected with potential hypoglycaemia. They always occur coming out of sleep, although I think they are also connected directly TO sleep, in that even after waking up, stopping a seizure with anticonvulsant meds, if I go back to sleep and wake up again shortly later, if its one of those days that I seem prone to having them at all, then its probable that I'll get hit again)

In times where I haven't HAD any antiseizure meds available, or couldn't physically reach them, I've managed a fair few time, during the first stages of onset, to just about hold on to a bottle or can of coke etc. and drink some down, and the result has usually been that its actually brought me out of the fit within moments, so that now, I always keep a bottle of coke beside my bed (or rather, beside my sofa) or can of coke, etc. that I can go for and keep in a death-grip to avoid simply throwing it across the room during a violent muscular jerk/twitching when they happen repeatedly without an interrupt, enough to get some down me.

Got to find the form, and go for a series of fasting blood glucose level tests.

Plenty of coke, and got a couple of bottles of what I think is banana juice (the label is in polish) plus some black grape drink in big cartons, a still version of the fizzy pop brand 'KA', that I've never seen before today, haven't tried it yet but the carbonated pop version is one of my favourite soft drinks, and has a really delicious smell to it that I just can't get enough of when I drink it.

Love to piss on? dare I ask what, or who, or why?

And yes, I hydrated a lot today, more than usual, after going food shopping (plus about a fiver spent on a pack of cigars and a box of matches), as I ended up buying two big bottles of chocolate milkshake, two cans of 'nurishment' (sic), which is basically a high-calorie vitamin fortified liquid meal in a can, in a milkshake form that packs in half of a man's daily calorie requirement. And got several cartons of a really nice new drink I happened to notice, its mango, passionfruit juices and rose essence; and it is REALLY good. Good enough that the first carton disappeared, drained dry in just a couple of long gulps. Delish.

Had two cans of that 'nurishment' shake, chocolate flavour, which is everything I need, dietarily wise for a day. And wolfed down a couple of packs of jam tarts too. Got two bags full of cakes and other treats, a couple of chocolate swiss rolls, two salted caramel cakes and some 'red velvet' cakes with icing and some sort of red bits on top, had the red velvet cakes before and they are really nice, and oddly, the cakes are actually red, not sure what they use for flavour, but they taste good and have a really nice moist, soft squishy texture to them, just the right balance between soft and firm, with really gooey, sweet thick layers of icing and those sugary red candied something or others sprinkled on top. And some more packs of jam tarts, got a few twin-packs of those, since they don't last very long, I like to stack two together, one on top of the other, make a pair of those doublets and them stick them together, filling-side facing inwards and munch them down as if they were cakes.

Lurvely :D

Anyway QV...that doesn't sound much like your usual you. What, or who are you planning to piss upon?

I actually like strawberry flavoured foods/drinks than strawberries themselves. Maybe I have just had bad luck in the strawberries I've had, bitter and not tasting like strawberry at all.

Have some nice sugar free strawberry yoghurt though, that has chunks of strawberries in it and actually tastes nice.
Title: Re: Have you hydrated today?

Fresh strawberries I do like, although they really do have to be fresh. Strawberries  are one of those fruits that just don't preserve well. Jam, yoghurt, synthetic versions, it always tastes like shit to me. Goes  bitter and rank if they aren't really, really fresh and  firm.

If you want a treat with good strawberries, find, buy or grow the  wild-type. The ones people flog in shops, have been bred to be of  maximum fatness, juiciness etc. Wild strawberries aren't like the regular ones at all. Tiny, maybe a centimeter across, look the same, just tiny, and dry, much drier than regular commercially bred ones,  but they are full of  flavour.

Theres a little park/garden near me that has a  load of various herbs, fruits and spices that anyone can go to and  just pick off a few of whatever for their own use. A few ornamentals, but nothing poisonous (I would know if I saw it most likely, I'm as good, at least, possibly better when it comes to plant toxicology and identity, uses etc. as I am with fungi) and theres a dense patch of them, tiny little things but they melt in the mouth, heavily scented, much more so than commercial strawberries. Well worth growing some yourself Ren, strawberries aren't really high maintenance plants, in fact given the chance they will spread like wildfire.

Sugar free yoghurt though? I see the label 'sugar free' and think 'warning sign' usually. Its an ominous portent when it comes to food. Healthier? probably not, but at least I'll be dead and not of starvation due to a diet of rabbit food and cardboard :spazz:

I prefer sorbets to ice cream myself, especially in summer. Elderflower based ones are a firm favourite of mine. I like elderflower in general though, drinks, candies etc. as well.

To whit, I'm just about to have a morning drink from the 2l erlenmeyer flask (its new, so I know its not had any nasty chemicals in it.  Although I'm sure as hell not saving it in any way to make a huge drinking cup, it will get its baptism into full service, of course, but there is still just under 1250ml  of apple and elderflower cordial in there, that is to be drunk before I clean it, dry it and use it for something, meaning its never again to be used as a drinking vessel  (its one thing to use a new, untouched pristine flask and Buchner funnel, to brew coffee and vacuum filter off the grounds, then use that, once cleaned and dried for chemistry, but I would never drink from anything that has been the vessel for any of my syntheses or experiments. I certainly don't want to be consuming heavy metals traces, even tiny scraps of toxins like  cyanides, azides or something else equally horrid. Ew.

This I know  is clean, never used, after being taken out of the box it was imported in.

Yes, pink grapefruit juice. I love grapefruit juice, and as  a  useful side effect, it makes my pain meds last longer, via some of the terpenoid type compounds, IIRC, acting as inhibitors of the liver enzymes CYP-P450-3A4 and CYP-P450-2D6, which would normally chew the meds up and spit 'em out again in pieces. Which reminds me, I need to take mine.

aalA cold beer just cracked open, peroni, one of my alltime favorite beers, its got a lovely full bodied bitter flavour to it, and I daresay that bottle lasted all of sixty seconds before being drained to the last scrap of fizz. With a satisfying belch afterwards to let off all that CO2.

Oh, make that two belches.

I woke up, and my my meds had given me drymouth. Which had to be remedied by a nice cold beer, especially with me taking a roasting in the hot weather. I hate it when it gets too hot. And the adrenal storm that absolutely twatted me for days, that near crucified me with the overheating and massive overstimulation. So I'd taken 8 sleeping pills of two different kinds, possibly 9, along with my adrenolytic drugs. The sleepers, plus the heavily sedating-hypnotic antiseizure med and not only oxycodone, a few lines railed on receipt, plus a second lot a bit later, followed by a first intramuscular injection of about 300mg morphine, and then another 420 (I can use this much this week, for I have both methadone and about an 8th oz of brown, so I have much to fall back on (the morphine and oxy script) if I need to, which otherwise won't be taken any time soon, and instead perhaps used for chemistry endeavours of a rather favourite nature of mine in the case of the morphia, whilst I use exclusively the methadone, at a nonrecreational dose, due to its excellent oral BA, whilst the bioavailability of orally administered morphine sans inhibitors of certain hepatic cytochrome P450 pathway isoenzymes, in particular CYP-P450-3A4 and CYP-P450-2D6) which blocks such metabolism of morphine by mouth, not that I take it orally, using IM injection to achieve a thoroughly effective near full availability, the deep IM injection bypassing the liver's first-pass metabolism)

Got me to a deep, restorative sleep for 8 and a half hours, leaving me feeling much more human, and nicely relaxed too, with a lingering pleasant light euphoria, wonderful. As well as the much needed adrenolytic drug pair (clonidine and tizanidine, both alpha2 adrenergic autoreceptor agonists, which suppress noradrenaline release, freeing me from the agonizing nerve damage related pain and also protecting me from and outright reversing sensory and physical overloading in an admirable degree, although they both do really drop blood pressure. Although given I've been lying down on the sofa, sleeping the sleep of the restful dead, that has caused no issue given I haven't stood up until just now, when BP is fine again. At least, to the extent that no unconsciousness occurs on standing at a normal speed, which happens with especially tizanidine, given it drops BP really sharply, but lying flat the body compensates, while I've not been up and moving until now to grab a cold beer for the one side effect, plus a bit more of it caused by the additional 420mg morphine IM, drymouth. Its a hot day, and a cold bottle of nice, frosty Peroni, one of my favourite beers, and another of those, plus a pack of cheese slices to be gotten from the fridge and munched down for a snack right about now, its just what the doctor ordered.

Dr.Lestat Rett that is, not my GP. I often as not do the job myself and save them an appointment slot wherever possible. At least I know I will be compliant to my own requests.

Got some nice brown heroin and some methadone so can spare that quantity of morphia and oxy for the hefty re-filling my plasma levels of my pain meds, I've taken to buying black market methadone tablets, from a friend and reliable source of fentanyl-free H, and of course the physeptone cannot be so contaminated, packed as tablets in sealed blister packs. The guy wouldn't let  me down by selling me fentanyl or fentalogue-contaminated gear.

So I've more than enough to just cut out the morphine, use the methadone almost exclusively, with the occasional smoke of H when I do fancy some nice warm snuggly euphoria, whilst methadone just sits in the background, effectively killing my pain off, and unlike other opioids, 'done is an NMDA antagonist, a weak one, but it means it can wipe out neuropathic pain, which other opioids, be it morphine, oxycodone, heroin etc. just don't.

A can of 'KA' black grape soda, and a lovely cold beer were just what I needed in this vile hot weather, and over here, its been as hot in a bad way as your wonderful PR is in a delightful way (I hope she doesn't mind the compliment btw, because I really do find her, and that lovely smile absolutely stunning :), a true beauty she is, as befitting a princess royal of the highest caliber. Sweeter even than a cold, glass-bottled frosty serving of my favourite beer on a searing hot day. :) )

*sends both of you my well wishes, and her especially, oh I would just love to crack a cold one with her one day, and take her on at my useless bowling skills, I KNOW I'd get PWNED by her, at bowling, but that itself would still be a good outcome for me, if it would just bring that lovely grin to her sweet, lovely kind eyes and light her face up with that infectious grin :) *

This of course I say both in the deepest respectful sense, and admittedly, my finding her a true beautiful lady, and one I would be honoured just to hear her voice spoken to me if ever I had such huge luck as to have it pass my ears.

MMmm, I now have a craving for the 6 packs of cold kraft cheese slices in my fridge, and another cold Peroni. Or maybe a bottle of Becks (or both). Got plenty of that 'KA' black grape soda too, a favourite soft drink of mine, and four big bottles of coke, so well hydrated with 'KA' grape soda and my favourite beer of all, of the lager type, not counting draught bitters.

Even got my choice of cold beer today, got a 6 pack of bottled Beck's and a 4 pack of that scrummy pack of the italian beer, Peroni, a most flavourful and refreshing brewski.. Just woke up after sleeping the well earned sleep of the dead for near nine hours now. Feeling nice and fresh and as superhuman as any autie should be entitled to feel, as the ideal form of life in humanoid variety :autism:

Would go right back to sleep but the scifi slot on the horror channel will be on soon, and I am NOT missing star trek TOS and TNG, or andromeda after. So I'll just have a second bottle of Peroni, a few lines of oxycodone, and in the meantime, go back to reading Hammer&bolter, and my  dark eldar warhammer 40k full length novel, with their scheming, backstabbing ways of the dark eldar, lots of scheming, plotting, backstabbing and intrigue of course, with the bastardly dark eldar, whilst I munch on some more cheese slices. Perfect munch post beerage.

I've been really thirsty today, must have been somewhat dehydrated after the rather hefty rum sesh yesterday and last night and the fact my adrenolytic meds wore off, and left me sweating bullets.

Ended up buying four large bottles of coke, a bag full of cans of 'KA' black grape soda, a real favourite of mine, and two crates of beer, a sixpack of Becks and a four pack of Peroni, an italian lager I really like, all stuffed in the fridge, and being guzzled like theres no tomorrow right now.

You should, at bare minimum, drink at least a half gallon of water every day.   :M

Beer, coke and black grape soda are mostly water, that counts in my book.

Nowt like a frosty bottle of beer on a roasting hot summer day or night. About to crack another bottle of Becks right now actually, while I enjoy a cigar.

I'm making it a habit of drinking some water each time I go to the bathroom.  Still a habit in progress.

Drank a bottle of water on my walk this morning. I get a really dry mouth - it's lithium - and need a drink with me all the time.

I sort of hydrated today with some dairy-free mango sorbet. Really nice and not too tangy.

Dehydrating. It's close to 30C outside and I thought a cold beer was my best option.

It seems like all I do is hydrate. I got up 3 times in the night to hydrate plus the consequence, pee.

It's a good thing my Salvos boss understands my frequent need to hydrate during the day.

Is there a known cause? Suffered excess thirst for a while a couple years ago. Doctor was concerned but turned out to be nothing, and most likely psychological.

Yeah, it's lithium. It's not actual thirst, but having a dry mouth and throat. I take the lithium morning and night and half an hour after taking it, my mouth goes completely dry. Sometimes I can't even talk it's that bad. I've tried sprays but they don't work for very long. It's a pain in the arse.

Oh yeah, I have had my blood sugar levels tested and everything is fine.
