Peaguy posted on it with an insult to mcjagger then i said he was breaking site policy then said im splitting the thread to the peanut gallery but then it just spliteed to the main event so i deleted it. I was gonna just ignore it as it was an unwanted interferance but as we are pushing transparency i thought id mention it.

good call. if something like that occurred on WP it was good practice to PM the member whose post had disappeared and let them know why - seems like a good idea here, if you want to let Peaguy know mate.
-
Right, no probs.
-
That's me done it now. I informed the peaguy that it wasnt censorship he was receiving just admin error and that he is welcome to repost his post again in the peanut gallery if he so wishes.
-
thats why no comments from the peanut gallery.
it provides a false sense of security to one side.
it inhibits the truth from arising from the ashes.
also, it takes the subject off topic and the passion kinda fades away.
the peaaguy is what you brits call a wanker, IMO.
he is always one of the last to pile on and is always rabid with delight whenever the possibility arises. also, he is not much man, never willing to back up his trolling words. which tells me that he makes shit up and is a liar.
i would feel perfectly comfortable saying this to his face.
maybe a compromise would be that after time we could move admin. forum topics to the WC, and forward from there.
i have one issue though. i promised jman that i wouldn't go public with his plea bargain. i told him i wouldn't take it any further than the admin forum.
-
Well the admin forum is already pretty public if tom dick or harry gets on to look if they write a post that interests you. :P Maybe we promise to release any threads about site policy or decisions but keep discussions concerning individual members secret as we would be breaching their trust otherwise?

WHAT IF ITS JUST OPINIONS?
NOT A PRIVATE MATTER.
-
If it is just opinions it should be open to all to see that is what I think.
Private matters should be held private though.
