Who would you vote for?? I think Soleiyu was hard to top.

Seriously good question. I think Cal and Pea were effective at getting under people's skin and going left field. Butterflies was pretty decent at trolling and Sol was a special kind of special.

Sometimes, late at night, I miss General Razorbeard.  :'(

I'm not convinced Sol was a troll--I think he was an actual nutcase. The same is true for the General. Or, they were both far more skilled than I thought they were.

I'd say Pea, probably. He was really good at getting under people's skin. A lot better than Cal, actually.

No, I banned him for violating the TOS, repeatedly. Basically he was a boring cunt.

No genuine I was imagining you two waving at each other mid feud. Like two brawlers stopping whilst police walk by and pretending to be friends and sharing a joke. The imagery was funny.

Am I annoyed with you? Yes, Odeon. Yes I am. Not pissed off, nor butthurt, but yes I am annoyed with you. I think I have good reason, don't you?

Now examine what I said. Is there anything intellectually dishonest or tiptoeing? I am curious. I do not believe so but you have been making some bizarre calls and I would not mind seeing where YOUR consistency is in all of this.

Yeah, you are a decent troll.
Actually El Presidente was a decent troll when he tried too.

I see decent and good trolling as much more than spamtards or people that do the "your momma/you're fat/go fuck yourself/I know what I am but what are you/I'm gonna rape you" trolls.

I like clever trolling. The type that undercuts an unreasonable authority. The Odysseus type of troll. When given no voice or authority. Not all trolls are created equal and not all trolling is created equal. I have a soft spot in my heart for trolls and trolling.

Does best mean worst, or does best mean best? Would it be out of line to suggest Adam? He was by far the most skilled in creating the most provoking topics, often drawing the majority of active membership participation to the argument. Yet still managed to do it in such a way many still liked him.

Adam must be the best individual poster I've ever seen, albeit this is the only site I've really used. The site has never really grabbed my attention since he left.

When things got dull he had the ability to create some interesting discussion or drama, but yet, never seemed nasty.

I wish Adam would resume posting here.  :(

From a purely selfish point of view, I don't. I'm happy not to be a regular poster anymore. The last thing I want is this place getting all interesting again, and dragging me back

Agreed, Adam has far more things to do and probably far more satisfying things to do in the real world than being here.   About  year or so ago, Adam was on FB expressing frustration/exasperation over something on the internet....I asked "I2?"  And he responded "LOL YES!"    8)

That's sort of implies other people here don't have full or satisfying lives. In the spirit of brutal honesty, would love to have Adam return but can understand why he wouldn't. Not exactly certain what he's doing now, but have gotten the impression it's public/political, so can't really blame him and can see how it might be embarrassing to be associated with this place. Either way, full and satisfying, or ashamed of the freakshow, good for him.

I have no problems with trolls as such but I tend to react when they violate the TOS.

I understand actually.  Can't disagree.

Yay, we agree on something. :)

I'm sure there's plenty we agree on, just not politically.  Didn't we both like a show that no one really watched, think it was Nip Tuck?

Oh yes, I love that show. :)

Same here.

Butterflies was pretty decent at trolling and Sol was a special kind of special.

 :o

I've never trolled anything in my whole life

Leaving aside I2, you certainly did wrongplanet and that YouTube guy

I don't think I've come across anyone who enjoys annoying people or seeing people get annoyed as much as Butterflies.   :P

 :lol1:

You've actually nailed it :eyelash:

Believe it or not, I have a similar streak in real life. Usually I'm nice and placid, but I do love winding people up :green: I can be very annoying when I choose to be

 :-*

Me too.  I like to take it to the limit and do it in a dry way, but people take me seriously and I've had loads of people get pissed off at me or feel really hurt, which wasn't my intention.  I've crossed the line a few times with my boss, but luckily he knows me well and is very similar like that  :P

Adam appears to have a very full and satisfying life.  It's no wonder he no longer spends a lot of time here.

Than might change by the time the media has finished with the Labour party  :zoinks:

This forum could use more active members. Have been successful in tempting a few absent old members to return, but they never stick around. Not sure if it would be nice, or even worth mentioning, but simply seeing someone who appears to want to be here without having to try to lure them back.

I was wondering what happened to him, he seemed to just disappear off the face of the map.

I'd like to talk to him too but I need to make a new Youtube account for that.

Both my old account and the email it's attached to, I seem to be locked out of.

I quit using facebook as my job hunting ramped up, I didn't trust potential employers snooping in on my personal life.

"Hi Jack matey.

No, I'm not looking to forgive or be forgiven - I don't have those feelings at all now.

I made a video response because Odeon - despite our grievances - was cool enough to put that aside and praise me for being an entertaining poster in the past. I2 has given me a lot of fun memories 8-10 years ago online.

I highly doubt I'll be reinstated on the board. Plus, I don't think many here would want to save the community, as the membership has pretty much moved on into different paths in their lives. I2 is not as important to them now as it was before. Things change."

Jack's interest is somewhat selfish, and directly related to the life of the community.

Her account is still open, her choice.
Still her choice if invited or not. How can she know if people are even interested in her return if that interest isn't expressed?

Jack, I'm not trying to be combative...but, I know the history of this place.....very well!  If Lucifer was interested, she would come back in a heartbeat....but, too much water has flowed underneath the bridge and those bridge foundations have been blown up, bulldozed and obliterated.  I do know what I am talking about!

Jack already does that, at least once per year, and about twice per year for more recently active members. Last PM to Lucifer was February 2015. :M

I'd plus you if you'd take it.

I was new on the scene and I missed a lot of the wars!  What an exciting time to be online!  :orly:

It really was. I have fond memories of that period. It felt like being part of history.

It's possible that was the only PM to Lucifer; it's difficult to know because of PM purges which also take place about once per year. Though in the case of that particular round of 2/15 PM messages, did in fact message every single inactive member who has ever posted on this forum. Didn't think it would be productive, and previously had avoided people who haven't logged in for several years. That round of messages brought back Graelyn, Walkie, and Loup. It's a shame they didn't stay longer. My PMs indicate the last round of PMs was August 2015 so it would appear I've been slacking, am overdue and need to get to work.

I miss Loup. I didn't think there was any chance that she would come back. Now I'm sorry I wasn't here when she did. She was always interesting to talk to. I miss Walkie too for that matter, but I'm in touch with her through other venues.

I meant the plus for all your efforts of recruiting and bringing people back. I had no idea you'd gone through and systematically PM'ed every single former member.

Yeah. But I'm not sure the fractious tiny sites are any great loss. Forums were spawning and dying in a span of months in those days. And they were all at war with each other.

Quoted for truth!   They either died a quick death or lingered on with a bare handful of members, like apergianisland.   They all started off well, but, then degenerated into infighting and/or flame wars.  Aspergia was one of the first and it's owner/sole admin. blew it up rather than let it linger.

It makes sense you wouldn't know; my messages have only ever come up in conversation a couple of times when returning members have mentioned it in the forum. Have inspired a number of people to return; some post, some PM back but don't post, some only log in, but they never seem to stay. It probably doesn't much help that most predate me and don't even know who I am. Am only discussing it now because of getting the attitude, if I really cared about people coming back then I should get off my butt and do something about it myself, as if Lucifer would actually give a crap if I might personally be interested in her return. If people who know her don't want to ask her back that's fine; no need to imply I don't care.

Say Hi to Walkie please.

I miss Loup too. Have tried to contact her a few times, not only on I2, also on Spectrumites. Spectrumites does not exist any more. I was delighted when Loup appeared for a while some time ago. Good to see she still existed.

Peaguy had a stroke? Did anybody else hear that? Near the end of his video.

He wanted a stroke of Scrappy according to Gopher  :zoinks:

It's not just Pappy. He gushes about a few men on the forum, including you.  :hahaha: The level of male ego stroking he could bring to this place makes me like him already. :GA: Although if he comes back, I may have to arm wrestle him for Pyraxis' honor.  :viking:

It's about time you started stroking my ego  :worship:

I wasn't saying he wouldn't. I like Dunc and hope he starts posting here again. He logged in a few days ago. I just though it was funny about you getting all exclamation point being here for Dunc, when he's only posted once since the first week of January.  :lol1:

If Dunc comes back, I need to try to remember to ask him if I invited him to come back. Chances are I probably did but I can't remember specifically. If I brought Dunc back, then that means I still get credit for you too.  :zoinks:

I like a _specific_ 13 year old feminist girl???

I mean, I DO like feminist girls who are actually real and flesh and blood, there's no need to make them up!
None of them are 13... :I

Always strikes me as strange the amount of condescension and snark he can contain in a post when we know who and what he is. Its weird. I stopped reading him because he is full of shit.
