Title: favourite song (of the moment)
Post by: Mr Smith on December 04, 2006, 05:07:13 AM
What is your fav song of the moment. No, not your fav of all time. One you play lots then stop when you find other songs you like.

Mine is:

"Love is only a feeling" by the darkness.

I can see this being another of my obsessive threads, so you get karma.  :green:

Song of the moment -

Haujobb - Slide (Glis remix)

I play this far more than I should. I don't care, the lyrics and delivery are great and the synth lead is cheesy in a very good way.

Current song of the moment:

Seabound - Scorch The Ground

Very synthpoppy electro. Cheesy and poppy enough to make me grin inside, but crackling with cold electronics. I like.  :green:

I've been sleep deprived, it just floated in my head while I was studying dnd manuals, and I started singing it.

"Journey to the center of the mind"  -- The Amboy Dukes with a pre gonzo Ted Nugent, when he did "REAL" music!

"Can't find my way home"  --Blind Faith

Yeah, it dates me too, but I don't care!

Exit music from the movie "The Fifth Element" on repeat about nine times, now.

"... another little light of love..." (a line, don't know the title) An awesome arrangement of world sounds.

The neatest thing that happens when I am sleep deprived is I get minor hallucinations.  Nothing blatent, it is just objects I am staring at seem to shift appearance in a swirling blur.  Like I will stare at a P and sometimes see a T or a D.

Rotersand - Dare To Live

Big surging bastard of an anthem, with trancey bits, a menacing thrum in the background, metallic, clattering drum pattern, and cheesy chorus build. Yay.

I've been a fan of Green Day for more than 10 years (god that makes me feel old   :o). I don't think American Idiot is their best album, but its still good.

when they firsat came out i wasn't happy.  i thought that the lead singer was a british wannabe with his voice.
i have seriously come to love and respect their music.  and i consider them to be a distinctive sound, not british wannabes.

Velvet Acid Christ - Crushed

Gorgeous gothic guitar workout, like a track which by a freak oversight never made it on to a mid-period Cure album. Not even remotely original, but enough to make all my hair stand up. All I need now is black hair dye and I'm Robert Smith, I'm definitely fat enough...  :green:

"Save Tonight" by Eagle Eye Cherry

It melts my heart.

Go on and close the curtains
cause all we need is candle light
You and me and a bottle of wine
going to hold you tonight
Well we know I'm going away
and how I wish, I wish it weren't so
So take this wine and drink with me
let's delay our misery

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

There's a log on the fire
and it burns like me for you
Tomorrow comes with one desire
to take me away it's true
It ain't easy to say goodbye
darling please don't start to cry
Cause girl you know I've got to go, oh
Lord I wish it wasn't so

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Tomorrow comes to take me away
I wish that I, that I could stay
Girl you know I've got to go, oh
Lord I wish it wasn't so

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
Save tonight
Save tonight
Save tonight

Right now I have "Blood" my My Chemical Romance stuck in my head (it's so cheerful sounding!)

Well they encourage your complete cooperation
Send you roses when they think you need the smile
I can't control myself because I don't know how
And they love me for it honestly I'll be here for a while

So give them blood, blood
Gallons of the stuff
Give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough
So give them blood, blood, blood
Grab a glass because there's going to be a flood.

A celebrated man amongst the girlies
They can fix me proper with a bit of luck
The doctors and the nurses they adore me so
But it's really quite alarming cause I'm such an awful fuck (I hate you!)
I gave you blood, blood
Gallons of the stuff
I gave you all that you can drink and it has never been enough
I gave you blood, blood, blood
I'm the kind of human wreckage that you love!

Amarantine-Enya.

You know when you give your love away
It opens your heart, everything is new
And you know time will always find a way
To let your heart believe it's true

You know love is everything you say
A whisper, a word, promises you give
You feel it in the heartbeat of the day
You know this is the way love is

Amarantine
Amarantine
Amarantine
Love is, love is, love

You know love may sometimes make you cry
So let the tears go they will flow away
For you know love will always let you fly
How far a heart can fly away

Amarantine
Amarantine
Amarantine
Love is, love is, love

You know when love's shining in your eyes
It may be the stars falling from above
And you know love is with you when you rise
For night and day belong to love
