No, I don't have a lovely Southern accent, nor do I have that ersatz "Cajun" accent so many TV shows demand of New Orleans characters. Nor do I (or anyone else I've run across) call people "cher" in New Orleans. The blacks seem to call most customers "baby", which I think is funny when it's done by someone obviously younger than I.
Out of 10, alligator is about an 8 or a 9, crispy on the outside, well seasoned on the inside. I prefer it to venison sausage.

The water came up about half way up our lawn, so we were in no danger. In fact when we returned 4 (or was it 6) weeks later the ice cubes hadn't even totally melted in the freezer. I'm guessing we were without power for maybe 36 to 48 hours.
No, I've never met a black Cajun. The Cajuns are the French expelled from Canada when the English took it over. There are Cajuns (Acadiens) in the Northeast and in Southern Louisiana. They didn't own many, if any black slaves since they were pretty impoverished, so a black Cajun would be a rarity.
As far as black Jews, yes there are the Ethiopians. In fact there was an isolated community of Chinese Jews who were "discovered" by the Catholic priests many, many years ago. Since China was an isolated country, they thought they were the only Jews left in the world.
And anticipating your next question, yes I did have ancestors who owned slaves. My Irish GGGrandfather immigrated and within 10 years he owned 2 female adult slaves and a four year old boy. I don't know if the boy is his because researching the slave sale records is tedious. Other things have crept into my life, but I intend to hopefully find out more information.

PA stands for Prince Albert. My husband isn't Albert, but it's an equally dislikeable name.
My real name can come from France, Scotland, Germany and while not a name, it is a word in Russian and Japanese.

Nothing would be wrong with them. I do not believe they are ethnic Jews but what do I know. One theory states it is possible they are converts. I do know some call the Ethiopian Jews 'betas'.

My GGGF managed to accumulate quite a bit of wealth, economic, political and social importance fairly quickly. His son ran for Lt. Governor after the Civil War, but lost.

There are baptismal records that indicate he was born in South Carolina. Either way, the work greatly advanced the cause.

He came out and saw me with the oyster on my crossed thigh, using an oyster knife, bared handed. I did 8 that way before he came out. I can still here his booming, "What the hell do you think you're doing? You could kill yourself!!!!!!!!" I think that tops noodling for sheer bravery (and stupidity too.)
BTW, I'm so short if I went noodling I'd probably have to go totally under from what little I've seen on TV.

You must have missed something, neither of me or MLA wrote anything about the guy's birth record. You know why? Because no birth record exists for the guy. What MLA mentioned was a record of his baptism, which happened 14 years after his birth. He told the people that was baptising him that he was born in 'Carolina'. There are several reasons why a black child may have said that in 1759 in what is now the US. Further more, the same guy has also stated he was born in Africa. You missed that part to.
Moreover, MLA claimed the person's story is a fraud, yet has not provided any evidence that his whole story is a fraud. MLA provided a baptism record and nothing more. He has not supported his claim and refuses to do so.

Good thing you didn't stab yourself. I think when people go noodling, they will tend to go totally under, then stick their arm in a catfish hole and hope for the best. I think noodling may be done by the people that live far away from the big cities.

I have a friend, my age, from Winnfield LA (northern part of the state). She is a salt and pepper seasoner also. When I send her some leftovers I have to warn her that they have onion, garlic, etc. I'm gradually introducing her to more exotic foods such as hot dogs with sauerkraut, sopa de riz (beef soup mexican style), etc.

Although PA just made 70, he is far from dead. He had surgery on his ankle in December and you should have seen the look on the doctor's face when we asked when we could start having sex again. It didn't help that the PR piped up, "Yeah, they're grouchy if they don't have sex."
Since this is Intensity we play fast and loose with history. Besides I don't know if I could handle 9 without help. One is quite enough.

@ PPK = I've never been on WP, but yes, she "graduated" from St. Michael Special School for Exceptional Children in 2010. She did get a diploma, but it's only recognized by the school. It mainly means she went to St. Michael for more than 2 years and managed to behave herself and have a good time.
I don't mean to speak ill of her school. Their philosophy is that except for a few higher functioning students who study for a GED, the school's mission is to teach the students intangible skills such as cooperation, consideration, social, etc. They do have academics and other classes such as wood working, cooking, sewing, arts, music so it's not just a big fun time.

Okay, circa 2008 when I was active there a woman had posted about her 19 year old MR daughter graduating after some school admin had recommended not having her do the extra year because "it wouldn't matter" anyway. As it turned out it did matter to the young lady and her family.

Luther really liked his bedtime adventures. He did not say without a reason that only very few people were chosen to live a celibate life. And he was as open about his physical love for his wife as QV is about her physical love for PA.

Okay, Bruce. To answer your question as discretely as possible. PA and I are not the outrageous lover type. We are considerate, playful, a little bit adventurous and enjoy each other very much. We were both "ancient" when we got married (first time for both of us, 34 for me and 41 for him) and have an older appreciation of love making that suits us well.
