Title: Hey people.
Post by: philosopher on November 11, 2011, 08:19:11 PM
Hello anyone who may be reading this...
I've just made my account here after hearing quite a bit about it, just to see what it's like.  I'm not really good at introductions, so I think I'll leave it at that.

Wow, thanks for all the replies everyone.
I've heard bad and good about this place, but the people who complain about it are usually those super-sensitive-can't-take-a-joke types, so I didn't really take what they said seriously. I just wanted to check it out for myself, and I like what I've been seeing so far when it comes to how this place is run. A lot of the other places are way too strict...
As far as music goes, I feel like my taste is somewhat eclectic; I like everything from Classical (and classical) to Baltic folk to 90s rap/hip-hop to alternative/indie rock... I'm open to listening to anything, really.

My native tongue is English, but I'm about half fluent in German and I've learned some basics of Japanese and Mandarin Chinese that I'll like to expand on soon. I also want to learn a couple more European languages. I hope to be fluent in at least 4 languages at some point.

And thanks for the video, Binty! I hadn't heard of that group before; I'll be certain to check in to more of their stuff. That song is amazing.  :2thumbsup:

I'd recommend you to pick up Spanish first, then use it to learn the basics of Italian and French. Or, you could learn Scandinavian languages as a group. Norwegian or Swedish first is probably the easiest route.

Yeah, I've been thinking about learning Spanish, but it just seems really difficult for some reason... sometimes I like a challenge in language-learning, but I don't know why I'm kind of shying away from this one. I'll start one day, though...
I've been wanting to learn the Scandinavian languages, too; I love the sound... and I also like the Scandinavian  accents in English.

I searched and you have used the term once before, in October:
Just take a step back...and have a look

Chill the fuck out, man.  This is an internet
site.  A Bitchboard.  A place to make and
break friends.  Its a laugh.  It's a joke.  It's
sometimes serious,  its mostly fun.  It's a
place you can speak your mind.  However
fucking crazy.  It doesn't matter in relation
to the big wide world.  No one dies.

NO ONE SHOULD CRY  either.

It contains no important classified information.
It is just a bunch of words on a screen.
If you make friends here - great.  If you
don't - fucking great too.

In fifty years time no one will care or remember!
That's how important it is!
I got a PM from V yesterday. He is quieter on all forums at the moment as he has stuff to do in rl. I think he is a pretty nice guy and I am glad he is here.

Urban Dictionary
1.    Bitch Board

A term used for a FORUM of a BBS that was used to argue amongst other members. Sometimes refered to as a "War Board", the forum encouraged strong opinions and disputes for whatever one had on their mind.
Last night when I was on Back Bay's BBS, I started a hugh feud with Warlord666 on the Bitch Board.

Others know it.

Half the people at the Drivel think you're that antichrist. What's up with that??

I was referring to his physical appearance.  I'm not sure who is less attractive he or the other guy in the band (don't know his name).

No Mick Jagger is not a pretty sight but yeah the chicks do love him despite him having  a face like a robber's dog!

The thought of waking up next to it,  makes me feel a bit nauseas,  but the thought of him 'doing the nasty' quite frankly makes me think about batting for the other side!
