Title: $1251 - Tiny "B&B", sofabed, net, phone, shared lvng space - "moral" Woman
Post by: eris on August 26, 2011, 05:47:05 PM
What a crazy bitch

I have been looking for a room/apt to rent and this is just hilarious. For the record, you can rent an entire apartment for an entire month for about 600$ total, and their landlord wont care if they are gay or look at porn :)  And she tells you when you are allowed to sleep too. What a crazy bitch lol.

No one will respond to this. I guess she is SOL.

Quote
Hello, I am a clean, capable, mature, helathy Christian woman, job-hunting, blessed with bills, a small, but clean, relatively "comfy" small apt. ( carepeted, studio, with separate small, dining room,, full kitchen, full bath and very large carpeted, lighted closet. Also blessed with other qualities that include good hosting, social, and cooking skills. ( Healthy, intermediate gourmet.)

So! I am offering , for those who are able to comfortably live "small", and need temporary quarters, ( 1 week only), base to live and work, clean , safe, "comfy", QUIET, and VERY conveniently located quarters. ( 5 mintues to the "t", a 12 minute "t" ride to downtown Pgh., twenty minutes to mall 6 1/2 minutes to grocery store, walking distance to local, plentiful small shops, cafes, nice restaurants, drug stores etc.,, 1 mile to very nice park, wooded hills, tennis courts, swimming pool, two ice-skating rinks nearby, one at park another near grocery to clean, safe, congenial, drug-free, "moral" woman, someone in-between places, looking for an apt. locally, tourist, or other ( no DRAMA!) person in need of safe, internet access, ( limited to three hours per day), telephone, and 1 ( free") round of laundry done. 1 load wash, I dry-and folded.
Clean linens, ( Bath, bed provided.( Laundry available on premises. And would do more for small, additional fee.)

You would sleep, in the small, clean, pet-free, but not at all "claustrophobic" living room, open to dining room, kitchen, bath, ( not have to pass me),between hours of ten and seven, and also could use the net. ( However, I do block, chat, porn, violence) sites, and do scan daily, so would not tolerate discovery of security threats.)
payment would be made in cash, for all extra meals ordered, week of stay, at the door. And, would have to produce a valid, clearly recognizable ID.

Also provided, one "continental" breakfast, homemade , baked good, ( Fruit or bran muffin, juice, fruits, cereal/oatmeal coffee, -instant or purchased "ready"-, as have no coffee maker, I'm a usual tea-drinker). But also would provide, with advance notice, ( one day for anything only needed my usual stores of fresh fruit, veggies, carrots, spinach, peppers, onions, org tomatoes, meat, poultry, fish, skim milk, tofu, or two days notice for additional requests), a healthy, tasty, and safely, cleanly prepared ( Serv-Safe Food Manager training), dinner, at the ready at a fixed time, or cooked and re-heated for anytime readiness.
( This would require advanced payment, and for "normal" dinners, costs would be eight dollars. And no dishes for you!... You could also, feel free to use the kitchen yourself, your own "stores" or mine. R-imbursement only for cost of food portions used.)

I am a congenial person, absolutely "straight", very honest, capable, fairly interesting, well-traveled, happy to help you find your way about, but am also busy with work-related and other concerns, as of course, you likely are, and so we would both need to be comfortable with living "Small", amicably, might enjoy a a little after dinner conversation, but not" joined at the hip" co-existence,as many from large families, or used to dorms, or travel, often are. The guest would have to to be one able to live'small, relatively independently, and "separately", when we need to attend to our own concerns.
It is not the Ritz, nor is it, "The Bowery. It is a very old, quiet apt bldg at the juncture of suburbia and mild, safe, "urban".. Very safe, mostly residential neighborhood.
In all honesty,as an experienced traveler, I would say the accommodation offered is quite a few steps above Euro"hostel", and equitably so behind a cottage and" real live" bed and breakfast.

Most welcome, are intelligent, honest, amicable, DISCREET, generally quiet- ( I love music, but if you want to listen to music, would have to use ear-buds)- Christian friendly ,pleasant people. Those that can appreciate, living, and finding creative, honest, solution, outside of "the box".
( If in a bit of a bind? Perfectly fine, I would likely understand, but don't want any "drama" or crisis" situations..)

Well, that about sums it all up! Looking forward to hearing from those as have described.

Excuse me, $1251 per week, who with that kind of money would tolerate all those rules?

For $1251 a week, that apartment had damn well better be gold-plated and in outer space. :wanker:

A bonus, something for nothing, as in What do you want--egg in your beer? This expression dates from about 1940 and became widespread during World War II. The origin is unknown, since adding egg to beer does not improve the taste.

Definitely Paris. She must be figuring in the cost of laundry, internet, and that wonderful "continental" breakfast.

That woman is obviously delusional.

1251 seems a strange number; maybe a typo. All the parentheses are bothersome.

All the parentheses are bothersome.
Not only is it the heavy usage, but also the space inserted after the open parentheses, though no space before the closing one. That's a strange writing habit never really noticed in anyone before.

I would hate to live with someone I don't know. But to have to follow those rules and pay all that money too, that is ridiculous.

Ive thought of that. But it isnt funny enough. I think they would have tried a little harder. It really wasnt THAT bad. It actually came off as her trying to act tolerant, and that "those people are ok I guess but I want a Christian"

Council house here costs about the same, bills not included. But I thought it was relevant since I share this apartment with my mother, she only expects 50 while this stupid bint wants 1259.

I think I know where she got her rates from. I did a quick B&B search for my area and it is about 160$ a night for a really really nice one, which is about 1127$ a week.

She fails to realize that that is really really nice hotel, though. And they let you sleep when you want to and in a nice comfy bed not her living room. Im pretty sure the hotel wouldnt care if you look at porn or are not Christian either.

Either that, or it's a typo and she meant 125 a week. Why not 1250? The one dollar is to odd, so likely not meant to be.

Not sure, though it's obvious she's maybe put too much into imagining what her guest and having them in her home is going to be like.

125$ a week is way too little, so I doubt it. especially since she is offering one meal and one load of laundry done.

You also have the option of editing your post at anytime, so she could have changed it if it was a mistake,

Didn't think it too little because they don't even get a private room, and you said you could get an apartment for not much more. Good point on the edit option though, and will agree all the minutiae in the ad makes her sound a bit nutty.
