To rehabilitate is to restore to a former state of health, so no. Not so sure they can be habilitated either.

Damn, did he get extra fucked up in jail as a kid? Or was he like this all the time?

The kid's gotta be fucked up from the start to do what he did imo
I don't think there's much chance of someone like that ever being "normal" enough to be let out into society though. Also downloading child porn is a sign that he's likely to reoffend anyway. And with kids I don't think we should be taking risks

True, also because it seems that a percentage of abused kids will become offenders themselves. No kid deserves to be abused, and about 10% of them becoming childpredators as a coping strategy is making it an ongoing story.
That violent way of coping was why I wondered if he got even more fucked up when in jail.
