Title: Post something shameful that happened to you
Post by: Blasted on June 30, 2009, 05:27:14 AM
I could probably fill at least 4 pages of this thread single-handedly but for starters: yesterday I borrowed my youngest sister's mobile because I forgot to charge mine.  I was under the impression that it was on silent however in the middle of the show it turned out that it wasn't.  Now, not only was I the twat in the audience with the turned on phone, I was also the dumb fuck with Greenday's American Idiot as their ringtone  ::)

I hate that song. It "sounds" juvenile.

Am I the only one here to whom shameful shit happens to?   :-\  Nevertheless I have plenty more examples  :zoinks:

When I worked in Soho Theatre, I whacked Alan Rickman in the face with a door.  When I worked in a Saturday school, I once locked myself out of the building and had to bang and shout till someone finally let me in.  I also got myself stuck in toilets a couple of times too.  This may be somewhat disgusting - when I was out with Jo, I got my period and ruined my knickers so I chucked them away and went commando.  Jo had to check every couple of minutes that the wind didn't blow my skirt up and show my arse to the whole world  :green:

I could go on!   :facepalm2:

You're, what, 20 or almost 20? And you could fill four pages? I'm over 50, you do the math. Even if I gave you an edited highlights package, we'd be here a long time. The point is, we all stuff up. At worst, we hurt ourselves and/or others. At best, we learn from the errors we've made and try to do better in the future.

What's interesting to me, having come to my diagnosis late in life, is to look back at some of my more spectacular gaffes and realise how my AS was a contributing factor. Not excusing anything I did, you understand, but simply explaining it. That is some comfort, in and of itself.

I'm 19 and four pages would probably be the threshhold really

Am naturally spazzy it seems.  As for this thread, I meant it in a "let's have a laugh about all the silly stuff we did" way  :P

Once, somebody dared me to go into the men's bathroom and when I did they held the door shut so I couldn't get out.  I decided to go and flush the toilet and they thought that I had used it, so they laughed their heads off and let me out.

I got dared to go to guy's toilet a few times myself but I think I was too chicken to do it   Which is strange cause now I have no qualms over going to the male toilet if I can't be arsed to wait in the queue for the ladies.  Albeit I was drunk on those occasions.

Shameful things happen to me whenever I leave the house

Usually in front of girls I like   :thumbdn:

None of mine are funny or interesting though. I struggle to think of any worth posting about lol

Spazzy shit I have done...  Where to start? :) Well, there was the time my husband and I were talking about midlife crises. We were walking past a billboard advertising motorcycles. He said, "If I ever get a motorbike, it won't be a Ducati. They're just too fast." I said, "You know, maybe I will go out and have that tattoo done that I've been thinking about getting." He said, "Oh really? So where ya gonna have it done? :eyebrows: " and I said, "At a tatt shop, silly, where do you think?... Oh. :duh: "

I've done plenty of boneheaded stuff but I don't tend to advertise it unless there is a sprcific reason to do so.

Okay, fine. When I was about 10 my brothers and I were staying the night in an dettached garage turned bedroom with our cousins. Sometime during the night I went outside and pissed on a bush by the garage. I thought no more of it until my older cousin Erin complained that someone had apparently pissed on his shoes during the night. He was a cool cousin though because he didn't kick my ass for pissing on his sneakers.

A long time ago when I worked for a big company I came back late on a Saturday everyone was gone. I miss judged the distance to the loading dock and hit it so hard with the truck it set off the bugler alarms and dented in the back doors.  I tried to make a quick getaway but as I was loading my tools into my car the owner showed up and began asking questions I just told him it was going off when I got there. We then walked around to see what set it off ::) Then he told me good work for staying so late on the weekend

That reminds me of when I was at work (mushroom farm) on my own at night. I was watering in the sheds and never heard the shipping container we had outside being broken into. Heaps of stuff was stolen including a brand new air compressor.

I think they wanted to blame it on me somehow. But it wasn't like I could sit outside guarding the container all night. I was completely oblivious. They had no qualms about letting me work on my own at night so I never felt guilty about it.

I farted  :fart: in an elevator at college and got out on the next floor, it was an sbd. That is not shameful but it was funny, not to the people in the elevator but I wasn't trying to entertain them anyway.  :evillaugh:

No, you're more than *that* desperate.

Where will I start? I went down half asleep one morning a few years back when my mother made breakfast. Not fully awake to aware of the fact my underware has a piss hole, I stormed right in to the kitchen and the little winker slid out by accident... she noticed and screamed.

Farted once in PC World by accident, it happened to be a REALLY smelly and REALLY loud. Worse still, I browned myself. The guy beside me walked away in disgust and said "jesus fucking christ". It wasn't my fault, was really ill that day.

Walked into wrong classrooms in school a few times, then argued that I was supposed to be there.

I did the opening doors one too, opening them for people then letting them go when I thought they got pass. A few people got hit by the process, children too. Didn't mean to. :-\

Erections in shops and people noticing, giving me bad looks like I was some pervert. Oddly enough, I wasn't thinking of sexual thoughts.... it just appears seemly on it's own will.

When I was 14-15 I was forced to feel up an older girl. Still have the scares on my left forearm where her nails dug into me.

Had a real spazzy coughing fit on the bus today, eyes streaming and everything.  It was cause I've been smoking too much lately and my throat felt weird but everyone was looking at me as if I had the plague  :thumbdn:  Also my mascara ran so that I looked like a panda  :-[

I was talking to ebm on the phone last night and my cordless phone ran out of battery. I knew I had a second one in my room but couldn't find it in the dark. So i told him to hold on a sec so I could call my home phone with my cell and find it. Picked up my cell, tried to call the house phone, and couldn't figure out why it was busy. Oh. right. Still on the phone with ebm.  :facepalm2:

Well, more funny than shameful.

I went to the shops today, walking. And stopped to wait till I could cross. And I waited, and waited.
Till it dawned on me that they had relocated the zebra crossing last year. I was waiting at the old spot.  :hahaha:

One time when I was working at this residential program for people with mental illness, I accidently locked myself out of the office, and it was night shift. thankfully it was a 7pm - 7am shift and it was early in the evening so i had to have a patient help me get back in the office  :duh:

later that night when I had to dispense meds, the person before laid out all their meds, well I accidently spilled some of the med cups, I gathered them together hoping and praying I didn't make any med errors

Ha ha this reminds me of this one time in 8th grade when I had a boner in the boys locker room after swim class, everyone made fun of me, and to make matters worse I told them I was thinking of some girls so they wouldn't think I was gay. That would have been fine and dandy except I made the aspie blunder of telling them who the girls were. The boys were kind enough to tell the poor girls the news.

When I was a teen, I was in a psychiatric hospital for the first time. We would normally go downstairs to school twice a day. Well I took shower in the afternoon before class and decided to put on this one shirt even though it was dirty. Well when I got down to class I realized the shirt had a cum stain on it from wanking the night before. I was so embarassed, and I had to whisper my little dillemma to the one staff members.

You know looking back on that I should have told them I was thinking about all the fun I had with one of their mom's last night.

Not long ago I got on the train and sat down when I suddenly started sneezing. Normally I'm a one or two sneezer but this time it must have been at least 11 times. The couple in the seats in front of me got up and went to find other seats. I was so embarrassed and was puzzled as to what was irritating my nose. I'd never sneezed so much in my life.

Some irritant may have gone right up your nose.  My brother once had a runny eye all day,
got home, looked in the mirror, and discovered he'd had a speck of pollen in his lower eyelid all day.  :zombiefuck:

Ah, now that would have been irritating.

Once, when I used to wear contact lenses, I lost one. In my eye. I was looking all over the floor for it when I realised my eye didn't feel quite right. The contact had folded in half and gone up behind my upper eyelid, as far as it could go. Took me ages to work it down enough to pinch it off my eyeball.

Some people get squeamish about this type of thing but it doesn't bother me.

PA had a cornea transplant and tried contact lenses.  He couldn't stand anything near his eyes, so guess who got the Herculean (I almost had to sit on him to do this, so it was Herculean) task of inserting and taking the lenses out? We decided it was NOT working out when I tried to remove his cornea rather than the lens which had migrated elsewhere.

^Wow, that would have taken some patience on your part.

People are naturally defensive when things come near their eyes so I can understand PA's reaction. Contacts were not for him!
