If there was one thing in your life that you could have done differently, what would it be?

Why are you Icequeen? (How did you come up with the name)

Wow, just one?

I probably would have tried to spend more time with people I cared about, and less time engrossed in "things".

What do you do?

Right now, mostly take care of my mother & son. Grocery getter, cleaning, lawn & snow services, part-time ebay, & the person everyone calls when stuff breaks and the computer messes up. Mom has congestive heart failure.

The ex always said I was a cold-hearted bitch.  ;)

Not too good at showing my emotions, I guess I tend to give people that impression at times. ::)

Hopefully, not in front of the train. Normally I lurk in the shadows somewhere.

Sorry, I'm not pyraxis.

I still have yet to set up my Ebay account.  I know you partake in the E so is it worth it.  Most of the stuff I have is antiques or tools  I get and fix and sell at the flea market which is now over till April.  My brother has done a lot and is encouraging me but I am very cautious when it comes to new things.  Here is what he told me open a paypal account and only accept that,  do it on a checking account only used for this purpose and only ship in the US.   Does this sound reasonable? Any other tips ect.

How much time must be put into this?  Right now my regular job is booming but I see a lot of down time when it gets a bit colder.  Any advise would be helpful :)

Can I masquerade as Icequeen for a minute?

When Wolf and I set up on Ebay to sell lego, we didn't get good prices at first, and my guess is that it was because we didn't have a solid feedback rating yet. So my best advice is keep at it till you've had a lot of sales, don't get discouraged too fast.

Oh, and make sure you ship stuff right away once you get paid. Late shipping of orders, because nobody could get organized enough to stay on top of it, helped kill one of the small businesses I worked with.

It depends on the items, like Pyraxis said, starting out expect to take a bit of a beating, buyers are wary. But if you ship right away & start getting good feedback established you'll see an improvement fairly quickly.

I search completed auctions to see what I can expect to make on an item if it's something I'm not already familiar with. You have to mentally figure what you have invested in it, how much fees you can expect to pay, and how much shipping is going to run. Most of the items I pick up I normally have a very low investment in, and even with the fees I'm making well above what I could get for it at the flea market or elsewhere locally. Antiques & collectables are normally worth it, because you just can't beat the shear number of people who are viewing your item, normally ones who get it in there head they want something just like what they had as a kid or something they remember mom or dad having and they really can't be bothered hunting the markets or shops for it.

Ebay switched to Paypal only as of Nov 1st, so you don't have to worry about other payment methods anymore. I have a bank account confirmed with Paypal and just deposit funds as needed from Paypal into it, Ebay fees I let come out of Paypal.

Priority mail supples you can either order free from the USPS site or you can get the co-branded boxes free here:
http://ebaysupplies.usps.com/

Postage & shipping labels you can print out from your paypal account once they pay you, I put up one of those big rural mailboxes and just slip the small stuff in the box in the morning, don't even have to go to the PO much anymore.

Half.com is still better for alot of books, ecrater.com is another option, doesn't get the traffic and set-up is harder, but you can park things and there are no listing fees.

I use Auctiva.com (free) so that I can write stuff up in advance, schedule them to list at a certain time, and upload more photos to my listings without paying extra (Ebay lets you upload one photo, then charges you .10 for each additional photo), you can use Photobucket also to avoid this. More photos the better usually.

I only ship to the US normally, international shipping costs for small time sellers just suck period, unless I am listing for a friend who collects hockey cards or I run into some VW items. Then it can really pay to consider shipping elsewhere.

It can be time-consuming no lie there, but fun as hell watching about 20 bidders fight over something really good you just stuck on there a couple of days ago.

You mean the cartoon/movie with necron and the wolf-dude, and the chick running around in her panties?

That was actually a pretty badass movie. Necrons trying to kill the wolf dude with magic in the end and the wolf dudes like.. FUCK YOUR COUCH NIGGER *STAB*

I'm gonna go watch that!

What is your cup size?

Are your areola large or small?

Are your areola pink or dark?

How do you shave your muff? (clean shaven, landing strip, triangle, heart, etc)

Haven't been asked many questions lately so your overdue :)

Have you ever used any of the gold or silver test kits on unmarked items?
If so have you any tips which ones are good?

Not yet, but I need to get one, I've just been going by the magnet test and what I know. Took the last UFO's to the jeweler and he did a simple scratch test since he was purchasing the other items I had that were marked, I really didn't have any doubts, but didn't know the purity on the unmarked gold stuff.

Was considering something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Electronc-Precious-Kit-Culti-PuriTEST-DigiWeigh/dp/B005II4VPE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1386182623&sr=8-2&keywords=gold+test+kit (http://www.amazon.com/Electronc-Precious-Kit-Culti-PuriTEST-DigiWeigh/dp/B005II4VPE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1386182623&sr=8-2&keywords=gold+test+kit)

but will probably purchase everything separate, since I have files and a very good scale and it's a bit cheaper.
Definitely need a loupe...this getting older shit is for the birds. :zombiefuck:

Diamond tester I bookmarked was this one:

http://www.amazon.com/DUSIEC-Diamond-Selector-II-Gemstone/dp/B0052R42NW/ref=pd_sbs_jw_1 (http://www.amazon.com/DUSIEC-Diamond-Selector-II-Gemstone/dp/B0052R42NW/ref=pd_sbs_jw_1)

I need one of those too.

I mostly just need the chemicals and a touchstone for gold and silver, though a diamond tester if cheep would not be a bad thing to have.  As to the scales I already have a few including one that's lab grade.  The loupe at 30x is a bit strong for a hand held, for 20x and up a scope is best I have bought them at tag sales my current one is a Nikon zoom that's 8-50x and like your Nikon stuff I found it curbside :headbang2:

My kid used to call it the "little purple monster" because of the way it roars when you first start it up.

I refer to it as "the purple pig" quite often because of how often you have to feed it.
