Looks like it's been "in production" ever since November 2004 but still doesn't have a cast or an official release date. I know it says 2006 release but that's highly unlikely since there's been no trailer or traces of advertizing. It does have a producer which is good, that means it's less likely to die.

I hope it survives. At least, if they do it right.

Looks like it's produced by Brad Pitt's production company. If he's interested, it might improve its chances.

By the way, it's pretty damn difficult to see Mozart and the Whale if it's not in distribution OR available on DVD.  >:(

It was released to some extent on DVD; there's currently one seller of the dvd on ebay.

By some strange coincidence, I saw the book "Curious Incident..." at the library the same day this thread started.  I have now read it, and can't imagine how or why they'd make a movie of it.  Maybe it's because it reminds some NT of RainMan, which was a huge hit.

It doesn't look like it ever made it to movie status. The only DVDs I see out there is a video of the stage production, and a video about the book and stage production.  :dunno:

I have seen the filming of the play twice and it is awesome. A lot of talent there.

I can't remember what the original link was. Maybe it was an announcement for "wrong planet the movie - the alex plank story" coming soon from hollywood.

since people are talking about a play, maybe it was a film of "curious incident" that got cancelled.

I said, oh dear, because I hate stuff about AS getting big in the media, because it makes people compare us to the fictional character.
