They would definitely shoot mine. That's really fucked up just think if it didn't happen to the mayor or someone else with money or influence would we even hear about it? I met a guy at work once whose dog had been shot 3 times in a raid at his home when the police where looking for one of his room mates. No sorry there either his dog lived but he had to pay the vet bill.

The mayor, who was changing his clothes when police burst in, also complained that he was handcuffed in his boxer shorts for about two hours along with his mother-in-law, and said the officers didn't believe him when he told them he was the mayor.
I'm sorry, but that's just hilarious. Somebody somewhere is getting their ass completely reamed for that little mistake... but it's good to see that things like this happen to prominent public figures, not just the average joe. The mayor couldn't talk his way out of it just by using his status.

You are right, Kevv. That was crazy for the police to burst in like that and to kill the dogs. Not only have they not apologized, they have not even yet cleared the mayor and his wife of the charges. I think that they want leverage against the civil suit that the mayor and his wife should file against the police department.

One of the reasons cops shoot dogs is to intimidate suspects. and they can always say that the dog was threatening/attacking them.
One of the cops arresting the Mayor was talking to a friend on a cell phone during the arrest, saying how excited she was.
