Title: Presidential Race (someone had to start it)
Post by: Parts on May 15, 2008, 08:58:28 PM
So what do you all think?

I feel all the infighting between Obama and Clinton has just handed the whole thing to John Mccain and another 4 years of republican rule.  Neither has a chance now.  If they could have teamed up earlier it would have been easy for them but they both seem to have too big of egos for that.  Now the worry is who is to be Mccains VP as I believe he will die in office.  Let's just hope it's not some conservative asshole.

I disagree, I think the whole soap opera bullshit that's going on with the election has gotten a lot of people who aren't normally interested in it, very interested.  Thus, they will go out and vote.... although, saying that, I don't know if I believe it.

We're fucked regardless.

If john Mccain become President I will start making plans to leave this country.. That will be the final nail in the coffin for America, it will truely prove to me that there really is no hope for America.

The talking heads of this country have too much influence over the election.  It's as if we're not voting for the actual candidates, but mere caricatures of them.  Seriously, did anyone think before this primary that Hillary Clinton is one who represents the blue collar bloc?  The media and bloggers has turned the whole election process into who can make up the best one-liner retorts, which is total bullshit.

millions think that because they have been told to think that and not just about her, the whole democrap party millions believe is for the working class. Todays dems are limousine liberals who pander to almost any subgroup for votes. they have absolutely no morals at all and will do anything to try and get power because the last thing they want to do is not be somebody important and have to work themselves.

McCain just did not have any competition with Huckabee (preacher who is even more conservative in most respects).    Obama and Clinton are just slagging it out, as politicians tend to do when there is an actual competition going on.   Obama should win, but I doubt he will do great against McCain as there might be even more dirt that can be dug up to make him look like even more of a tool.   His preacher basically ruined it for him.   McCain is kinda liberal for a republican, other than his stance on the war.   It is so bad that he wants to stay until the US actually makes progress towards fixing the situation temporarily.   We should just leave it to the Brits omg... since they were responsible for forming Iraq after the Mandate of Mesopotamia in the first place lol.   I like that Obama has no timeline and no actual plans when he is asked about what he wants to do with Iraq.   All he has is little catchphrases that hint at change, but offer no real strategy or ideas.

Does it even matter? Democrats and republicans are pretty much two sides of the same coin. They both represent just zionism and the ultra-rich and don't give a damn about the rest of the world. It's like choosing between Tweedledee and Tweedledum.

The only candidate I respected was Ron Paul. Unlike all others, he was not just a puppet of zionism and big industry. With him out of the picture, the result of the elections is pretty much irrelevant.

He's the one who thought the Civil War was unnecessary since they could just have bought the slaves and freed them, right? Yes, he would have been fucking hilarious, more fun than Dan Quayle and George W Bush combined.

I'm not sure about Paul's views on the Civil War, although I do agree it was unnecessary. The issue of slavery was only a side issue during that war, by the way. The main issue was really that of confederalism vs. federalism.

Besides that, Paul was the only candidate who represented the spirit of your founding fathers and who objected to the New World Order. He was the only candidate who wasn't a pawn of big business. He may not have been the most competent candidate imaginable (and I'm sure the American media did anything it could to ridicule and marginalise him) but he was the only candidate worth voting for.
