The hosting service is fine and we aren't moving from them. We're only moving the board from one account to another (from Dunc's to mine).
And no, it's not money problems. The hosting doesn't cost much.

the problem was that our ftp programs were only listing the first 2,000 files in the attachments directory... which left the more recent 2,088 behind. All done now, but I didn't get much sleep. I hope you fuckers are happy. :P

I couldn't figure it out, why the ftp software behaves like that. Took me forever to find out what had happened to the buttons and I was completely wasted by the time I discovered that there were more files in that directory...

Well, I can't start breathing normally just yet. Just now, when I logged in, the screen went blank when I tried to read my unread topics. Then every button pointed at the main page, and then everything went blank again when I tried to list unread stuff. :laugh:
It seems to work again now, but for a minute, my heart did beat faster. I think what I experienced was a nameserver hickup somewhere.
