No. My hubby got the nick name "troll" at work. He is rather short and at the time he had long hair and a long beard and someone said he looked like a troll. So by association I became trollette. That has been my nickname for almost 15 years, so I just go with it.

Yes self diognosed though, My son has AS as well. Life got a lot easier for both of us when we understood we were too much alike to get along well. We both have smart-ass attidudes and tend to butt heads alot. But the same could be said for most parents with teenagers.

Is it harder for two people with AS to get along? I butt heads with my daughter, but my best friend also has AS, and we get along fantastically.

I am 35 and my son is 15. i can get along with some people who have AS, but my son and I are both "buttheads" and can not get along with each other for very long. We do good for a while, but then it's like we can't agree on anything.
No I have not heard of the Toadette, but maybe one day they will make a trollette and I will be famous!

and about you and your son not getting along, must be his terrible teens. You know how teenagers are, they want things their way, want more freedom, argue with their parents.

Okay. My mother told me teens act this way and it's part of growing up. I have even heard the talk at work at my last job. Employees would be talking about their teens and how much work they are and how they fight and argue with them. Then I started calling it "the terrible teens" just like there is the terrible twos.

I don't doubt my son will be like that, later on, but it's my daughter I fear. :laugh:

I guess not all teens go through it then. I don't even know if my 18 year old brother did but I know my other one did. I can remember he start getting snotty and my mother would point it out to him and he say "Oh sorry mom, I didn't know I was doing it" and he stop.
Shows how unaware they are when they do it and the parents have to point it out to them. But I know not all of them stop and say "oh sorry mom" and then stop. My brother was just mature for his age. He was already an adult before he turned 18 lol.

My sister was hell. But my brother and I seemed not to get in alot of trouble. And my son does stop most of the time if I tell him to, but the times he doesn't :brickwall:
As for growing up...never will. Me that is.
