I loved that his response to the cop busting him was to pull out his Senate ID and say, "What do you think about that, huh?"
Why is it so easy for these guys to think that power effaces all wrongs?

(Oh, wait--because it works too damned often! )

Yeah, that Senate ID card thing cracked me up.

I liked the cop's reaction better - "How could you do this?  People vote for you!"  Craig was sooooo   :pwned:

Yeah, gay marriage is right the hell out, that'd be the ruin of American society, but anonymous gay sex in public restrooms, well, that's just every Senator's right!

It sounded like the GOP was pretty eager to get rid of him, though.

I really don't understand what the fuss is. George Michael did the same thing, and you don't hear people saying "George Michael how DAREEEEEEE you!" What Mark Foley did was far worse, and as I remember the consensus on his resignation was less unanimous and took much more time.

if the politician in question was against gay marriage and then went and had gay sex then there's a huge fuss cuz he's a fuckin hypocrite.

what foley did was illegal and more importantly hurtful toward someone and should not be accepted, but hypocrits with power, aka that 99% of politicians are wrong and hurtful too. people who have influence and who have no inner guidance on right and wrong or human decency and fairness, are very damaging and should be removed.

What is more interesting from the "values party" is that the congressman from Louisiana that admitted to hiring prostitutes (Craig pled guilty to a lesser charge) has not received nearly this much scrutiny or naysayers from within his own party.

Ok. I gotcha.

Incidentally,  :star: IF :notes: the politician in question was morally against taking a shit, and he takes a shit every day, then he's a fucking hypocrite. If the moon is made of green cheese then why don't we use it to feed the starving children?

Also, IF  he was against gay marriage, and he was looking for gay sex in a bathroom stall, how does that make him a hypocrite unless he was also looking to get gay marriage in a bathroom stall?

Because many people who are against gay marriage are against it because they believe homosexuality to be immoral.   So if he's trying to protect the morality of the country by prohibiting gay marriage, then trying to get a little dick on the side....well.... Looks like hypocrisy to me.

Marriage is a religious word that has a status attached to it that is undeserved.   Basically it is a joke.   Homosexuals can't reproduce, that is why people want to give them civil unions which is pretty much the same thing as a marriage but with no religious attachment.   I could care less either way to be honest.

John Kerry's wife made me lol.  Her saying she would be the first African American first lady was fucking retarded.   Same goes for her making fun of Laura Bush saying she has never had a job or worked for anything in her life.   Laura Bush was a school teacher, librarian and stay at home mother.   Apparently to Mrs. Heinz (rich as fuck ketchup heiress) that isn't work.   What would she know anyways, she has never had any kids.   That woman hurt her husband's chances the second she opened her mouth.

Here's another bathroom boy from Florida you'd think they would know better

Quote
The jury in the trial of state Rep. Bob Allen, who is accused of soliciting an undercover police officer, took a field trip on Thursday to Space View Park in Titusville to view the park and its restroom.

The six jurors and two alternates were seen along the waterfront of the park before heading to the park bench where Titusville officers sat on July 11, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.

After taking turns sitting on the bench, jurors headed into the men's restroom to view the handicapped stall where the exchange between Titusville police Officer Daniel Kavanaugh and Allen allegedly occurred.

Defense: Officer Forced Sex Issue

Defense attorney Greg Eisenmenger accused Kavanaugh of doing "anything it took" to ensure Allen solicited sex.

Kavanaugh said he stopped about 10 to 15 feet from Allen's car after an exchange in the restroom because he was determined not to get into the vehicle.

The officer said he was planning on letting the lawmaker go if a crime had not been committed.

But Eisenmenger questioned whether the officer was actually going to let Allen go without forcing him to commit a crime after clearing the sex sting with his supervisor, Cpl. Erich Barrett.

"Isn't in a fact that from the moment you got off the phone with Cpl. Barrett, you were determined you were going to arrest Mr. Allen and you were going to do anything it took to make sure a crime took place?" Eisenmenger asked.

"No, sir," Kavanaugh replied.

Kavanaugh testified that he mentioned the $20 in the restroom and later suggested performing a sex act on Allen. But Allen replied that he thought Kavanaugh "might want one."

Eisenmenger questioned whether that was an offer.

"Yes sir, I think a reasonable person would believe so," Kavanaugh replied.

Kavanaugh said he was confused and clarified if Allen would still pay $20, to which the lawmaker agreed.

Eisenmenger characterized the exchange as Kavanaugh soliciting Allen, a charge the officer denied.
