Quote

Yeah. Always figured that would make a good
profession. But, I'd like to spell it profit, if you
don't mind.

I've got just the person for you to emulate then. Benny Hinn (http://www.bennyhinn.org/default.cfm)

Edit: I think it's deplorable that Benny Hinn is trying to assiciate himself with an honest christian like Ruth Bell Graham

This place is only 45 minuets away from me.
Normally I wouldn't ever dream of partaking in a place like this.
But I just might have to go and have a look-see.

Anybody want anything while I'm there?

Although I believe Christian creationism is bullshit, I do agree with the statements made by creationists like Kent Hovind and Ken Ham, that Genesis underpins a lot of what is said in the latter books of the bible. That if you do not believe in book of genesis, it is very diffcult to be a Christian. That is a reason why I am atheist.

Beastmaster is a tv show. About a man and His powers of understanding of animals.

Well, there's more than one way to look at it. At talkorigins.org, for instance, there are quite a few interesting theological asides that address this issue. Adam and Eve need not have been real people who ate from a real tree in a real garden at some specific time in the past in order for the Christian story to have meaning and relevance. In fact, I think  Genesis is more relevant when it's not literal. The Fall of Man is a universal story. Everyone is Adam and Eve, in effect, as we've all eaten from the tree (i.e. sinned) and isolated ourselves from God (i.e. are living here on Earth). That's pretty much the only way I can see it. Physical death obviously still occurs, so the death that Jesus saves humanity from is another (spiritual) death, which I think works quite well in light of Christian theology.

You don't have to be an atheist just because you don't buy into the Christian God.

I don't see how you have to take everything that is said about or by anyone literally to think that they exist, that they're honest, or that they're right about a certain issue- unless, of course, you're very, very Aspie.  :P

Not too worried about the rest of this,
but this strikes me as very odd.

Unfortunately, there's LOTS of biblical literalists out there.. who aren't aspies.  :-\
