Title: The Wild Thing is here
Post by: wildthing121675 on June 17, 2007, 01:00:02 AM
Hey everyone,

I'm the Wild Thing.  I was diagnosed with Aspergers back in 2004.

My obssesions are my stuffed killer whale colleciton, my TV Guide collection, Star Trek, Baywatch, Dallas, TX cause of Dallas and Ewing Oil, The Dukes of Hazzard, California Highway Patrol 'cause of CHiPs, Major League Baseball and the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, World Wrestling Entertainment.  I WAS AT WRESTLEMANIA!!!! but the biggest obsession of all I have is beer.  I love a beer.

I am an habitual creature, I do the same thing every day, I have routines before work and after work, and before bed.  I am also a big child too, still sleep with a blankie and one of my whales every night.

I am glad to know about Aspergers, as I went the better part of my life not knowing why I was the way I was, and why I got obssesed about things.  It drove my parents nuts with the obsessions at time, especially the Star Trek one.  That one caused some fights.  I ended up winning.  lol.

Asperger's, and the knowledge I have it have bought me a sense of peace I've never known in my life.

Why did your parents have Star trek fights with you?  What were you doing with your Star Trek stuff?

Nothing wrong, it was that my parents are a bit religious, and they never were too comfortable with the sci-fi stuff cause of that.

They just were not comfortable with science fiction cause of their religious beliefs.

assholes. Roddenberry created a world where everyone was nice and there was no war on earth. why do religious people object to that? frickin anti-utopites.

My parents are just extreme right-wing, and they never did accept a lot of things.

They do now, cause they understand about Asperger's cause back when I was a kid, it was not common, and so I was mis-diagnosed as ADHD, and other things.

My parents are actually cool now cause they understand things better, and it has made things easier on all of us.

Wild Thing is my old baseball nickname, cause I got it right around the time my favorite movie Major League came out.  I have an obssesion for the Cleveland Indians.

I got it cause I used to be a wild pitcher like Rick Vaughn in that movie.  The numbers, are my birthdate.  12/16/75.

How far did you get?

First off, didn't mean to sound like a broken record or something there, know a lot of people say what I've said but well, sometimes I fall for the old cliche' lines, my apologies.

Anyway, yea, I am from Northeast Ohio, Kent to be exact.  And I only got as far in baseball to my junior year of High School, had to quit playing cause of work and other family matters.

My whales are about two feet long, and some are smaller.  I consider them to be my pets.  Special to me.  Whales are probably my earliest obssesion.  I've been obssesed with them since July '80 when my parents and my grandparents took me and my sister to the now-defunct Sea World of Ohio.  I still have my first whale with me, small one, but still, he's special to me.

I love a beer, my favorite was Rolling Rock, but that got changed around when Budweiser bought it last year.  My favorite now is Labatt Blue.

Hope I haven't stepped on any toes so far.

My company sends me to the Lincoln Electric Advanced Motorsports Welding School in Cleveland (Euclid) once a year.

You have a long way to go in your beer snobbery young Jedi. Try finding a liquor store that carries Belgian Ales besides Chimay.

Please don't get all emo on us. We prefer if you say: "If you can't handle THAT you can suck my fucking dick!!" or something like that.  8)

Yeah, emo seems to drive some people here
batty. It's a GREAT weapon in a fight, if you
use it right.

I'm cheap.
I never said I would get one,
I just wish I had one. Though,
now I have good reason to avoid it.
