Title: Frog elections.
Post by: Scrapheap on May 06, 2007, 12:29:09 PM
It looks like the Frech elections will be won by the pro-American conservative, Nicolas Sarkozy.

Does this mean the French will start bathing more often??

Apparently, not too many people give a damn about the French elections. Not suprising, france doesn't matter much these days in the grand scheme of things.

I wish we had candidates worth voting for this time.

I think a lot of people who would generally care about making an informed choice at election time have become totally disillusioned with politics and politicians in recent years.   Certainly in the UK, the major parties all seem like different flavours  of shit just lately.

There always are. At least if electability is not a criterion.

Bob Dole comes to mind. The things that made him such a good Senate Majority Leader, made him a bad Presidential Candidate.

in terms of seducing the electorate.
