And for the life of me I cannot figure out ¿por qué?.
-
I have a false diagnosis of psychosis and I am in a mental hospital.
-
:hide: How insane are you? 9,000 or over 9,000? :hide:
-
Wow. Hi Tequila, been seeing you on WP.
Hope the doctors reverse their false dx and actually help you.
-
OMG TEQUILA IS BACK!! :GA:

Aw. ;)
Why don't you just say Perth? We know the rest is desert. I'd be a bit concerned about the climate being in danger of drying the poor women out but fortunately it doesn't appear to have had that effect. :)

I take it that you're pro-Brexit??

I have never really read him. I grew up as a young adult with Pat Condell but have broadened away from that. I would probably rather read these days. I have a book by Douglas Murray still to read.

Sargon is pretty close to Douglas Murray's political views.
If you like his book you'll probably like Sargon's videos.
His main channel is Sargon of Akkad, then he has a few others: The Thinkery, Ancient Recitations and Sargon of Akkad Livestreams.
Carl Benjamin also does live talks around the UK.

I would meet you for lunch - a gorgeous plate of grilled barramundi with chips, salad and tartare sauce, washed down with a few pints of Gage Roads Little Dove (6.2%) at Clancy's in Canning Bridge. :)
Would you accept? 8)

Knowing WP (or at least what I've heard about it) you probably sneezed the wrong way or something. :CanofWorms:

I would drink Coke, heh. The food sounds really nice.

It'll have to be Pepsi I am afraid - they don't stock Coke.
You're local; why not pay them a visit and report back? ;)
The chicken parmas look fetching too, possibly more so.

Ooh, looks like Lestat has some competition. ;)

Pepsi is ok, no worries.
I'm not exactly local - I live in Mandurah which is a considerable train or car trip away.

They're all a good hour away. If I got down to it and was actually going to turn up I would find somewhere more local to you that served the purpose. :)
I would definitely meet in a public place though. Given Australia's reputation for tourists being murdered I may not be safe with you and whoever might tag along. ;)
-
Yeah, I might murder you. :zoinks:

I don't know you from Eve; you could be dangerous. ;)

I'm a wuss really.
Which country are you in now?

Yeah, I might murder you. :zoinks:

Of course she's dangerous. Quite possibly the most dangerous member here.
She took one of the members here, this dude Galileo Ace, and turned him into a chick!! :yikes:
True story.

I'm a wuss really.

I'm in a UK psychiatric ward. Oh, how I love being here. I'd rather be over in the Trough of Bowland or walking up Pendle Hill or in my local having a pint. Anywhere but here.
-
One good thing though, is that you have internet. When I last stayed in psych ward there was a broken computer and that's it. But my parents brought in my laptop and the nurses didn't take my power cord away so I used my computer a lot (I had uni work).
Do you have any information about when you can leave to go home?
-
Ignored here.
-

We have Internet but it's a little bit Saudi here, although fortunately there are workarounds for the important stuff. It is not without camaraderie on the ward.

I have a different setup that I shall discuss elsewhere.
Do you have any information about when you can leave to go home?
I'm being allowed escorted leave later this week for a short time. We shall see where I end up.
I am heartened and to learn that you harbour a concern for my wellbeing and my mood is brightened. It is a gloriously radiant blue sky outside. Have a satisfying evening wherever you may be. :)

I do, I know what it's like in psych ward, been to three of them. One of them multiple times. It can be awful. A lot depends on the other patients and the nurses you get. Not to mention the psychiatrist in charge of your well-being. I am hoping it is good all round for you.
I am meant to be doing programming homework. Keep getting errors so I have given up for today. Bed time is not far away.

I hope that you awoke from your visit to slumberland newly nourished by sleep, ready to face the bright new day bearing a lively and upbeat demeanour.

^ Is it just me that finds that kind of thing pukeworthy, like I personally have a problem with it? Or is it slightly icky to anyone else?
No offense Tequila. :P

Can you explain why you have a problem with it? In reality I have been ingesting the thesaurus again. I must stop doing that; the amount of money it costs to keep replacing them alone is incentive enough! ;)

Not QUITE pukeworthy, but pretty annoying.
Then again, I have problems with something as light as "hang in there." To me, I'd only reserve even that level
of support to those I was exceedingly close to.

No. If I did, such things wouldn't bother me, n'est pas?

So please, do stick to that thesaurus diet.

That is a decent rejoinder - well done. I should have instead opined that you appear to eschew emotion, at least in all but the most deeply personal sphere.
As for renaeden: If you don't like the type of language used I'll knock it off. The Dutchman and the chap who tells folk to urinate on a rope probably have a roundabout idea of what I was at.
-
As long as I understand you, you can use whatever language you like to. I really don't mind. :)

It's really not deliberate. Nor do I think it even represents a reduction in the emotional empathy.
I can care about what someone is feeling yet still feel this way.
It's more like a cultural habit that is alien and uncomfortable.
Not something I'd bring up, had someone else not done so, and I certainly don't see MY cultural
mores as in any way better.

I have the character of a lazy jackass. :zoinks:

At least there's people to talk to and respond to me here. On WP it's like just posting words into the void. I don't even have any PM friends left there anymore.

I post, kill the thread and by the next day it's on the second page.

I'm convinced it's more a laboratory these days. At least here the people are actually real.
