I served on a jury for five days this summer! It was a civil suit, one company suing another for unpaid wages.
We awarded the plaintiff the money he was owed, plus additional damages. It was a great experience. :thumbup:

I also lost 35 pounds. I'm still fat. Now I'm trying to maintain during the holiday season of gluttony! :autism:

I also slipped on my wet bathroom floor and fell hard against the edge of the tub, fracturing a rib
(though I didn't realize it at the time) and badly pulling the muscles in the right side of my
lower back. :o. It took weeks for the muscle spasms to subside. I still have some of the muscle relaxants left.

Dreading being called for jury duty...I did get called twice but once was for the wrong county (error, told to disregard), and the other I was taking care of the kid and my mom at the time and there was no way I could have served even if I wanted to, thankfully they excused me without a problem.

I have been on Reddit a lot, on my phone. I lost weight with some dietary changes, most notably
switching from caloric beverages to all water. Now I have to start walking and working out! :situp:

Walking is great! My neighborhood is a series of hills, so that's good. :thumbup:

Sometimes I put lemon or lime in mine and some chia seeds.
The water...not the whiskey.

Been called for jury duty twice :zombiefuck: once I wasn't picked the other time they wanted me but was excused due to the fact I am self employed and it would have been a financial hardship missing the amount of work they wanted me to. How long was it before you found out about the broken rib?

I got called up once and I had to sit in a room with about 60 other people for about 5 hours only for the perp to plead guilty and we all got sent home.

In Ct your employer is suppose to pay you for the first five days your regular wage after that the state gives you $50 a day. Self employed people such as myself have to apply to get the $50 a day which doesn't even amount to minimum wage or come close to the minimum amount I charge for labor for a day for even my helper

In theory they can, they predicted the one they wanted me for to last 5-7 days. Courts also don't have a good reputation about doing things in a timely manner with all kinds of delays and postponements making scheduling for it difficult

No cookies or chocolate, but I keep finding household supplies camouflaged in plastic bags.
Like many hoarders, I tend to buy the same things over and over because I keep
losing the previous batch. I call it "home shopping." :zoinks:

I had a CT scan shortly after the fall, to check my aorta for possible aneurysms (the aorta itself is
slightly larger than "normal," and my brother and sister are both diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome,
so there was some concern that I would be at risk of aortic aneurysm which can occur with EDS.
I requested that the scan cover the entire aorta down to the abdomen, not just the enlarged ascending aorta,
and my doctor agreed. The aorta is fine, but the CT scan found the fractured rib! :nerd!:
