Triggered by my daughter, who told me that in her textbook for physics, room temperature was seen as 25ºC / 77ºF I wondered what the room temperature is where you are and when.
17,5ºC / 64ºF in my living-room right now. 8:15 am, I'm about to leave. And because it was not too cold this morning, I did not turn on the heating.
-
We keep it at 78 in the day and 76 at night for the summer. Winter is 74 in the day and 68 at night.
-
No idea about the current room. Probably 68. I keep my house between 64-67 year-round.
-
59F(15C) windows open I think its a bit warmer in my office where the windows are closed
-
Around 19C. The window is open to keep the room from getting warmer (and stuffier).
-
Despite an open door policy, 19.5ºC right now.
-
:GA:
I hate the stickiness. :GA:
-
76F at night for summer, 77F - 78F during the day (depends on how much the SO bitches about the heat).
Not lower than 67F in the winter or I am a miserable, unhappy camper with blue fingers and toes by the end of the day, normally it's around 70F.
-
23 downstairs and 25 in my bedroom upstairs.
-
18C according to this thermometer on my fridge but I'm not convinced. More like 14-15.
-
It's dropping from the steady 23ºC it was most of the day to lower. 22,5 when I just checked.
-
Windows and door open so same as it is outside 64F(17.5C), earlier in the week when it was 51F(10.5C) my daughter wanted me to put the heat on and was rather pissed when I laughed, it won't go back on till November
-
23C.
-
12C
-
Welcome back.
-
20ºC, at midnight.
-
Snap. A bit warm for me.
-
Enough. :M
-
18,5ºC
-
has cooled down to a relatively comfortable 21c/70f after being too damn hot all day. I just put my pants back on. :lol1:
-
I just put my pants back on.
:emosad:
-
Somewhere around 19 or 20 C.
-
It was 20ºC when I got up. But now the windows and backdoor are open. So, it cooled down to 19.5ºC.
-
Too fucking hot
-
Too fucking hot
Be more specific man; details, details!
What are the effects of too fucking hot?
Heatstroke? Brows and eyelashes not keeping the sweat from your eyes? Dehydration? Anger outbursts? Beerbottle fights with the neighbours, through the wall?
Saucy details, that is what we need.
Or just the temperature in Fahrenheit, Celsius or Kelvin. :M
-

Sweaty photos are okay too. :zoinks:

TOO
FUCKING
HOT
:zoinks:
Like 82 degrees American
-
That is hot for a livingroom indeed.
Here it is 22.5ºC.
Hope that with keeping curtains closed and windows only open in the night and early morning, I can keep the coming heat outside a bit.
-
79F (26C) same as outside
-
It cooled down to 26ºC.
-
Guessing about 23C.
-
25ºC
-
Today it got up to 37 degrees. The hottest day of my life. I was outside in the direct sun :angrydance: :angrydance: :angrydance: :angrydance: :angrydance:

Oops. Wrong thread :-[ :-[ :-[
-
28C - it's actually a few degrees cooler outside.
gave in and turned on the air conditioner after becoming ill from the heat.
-
Guessing around 19C.
-
In the low teens I'd guess. It's definitely in the single digits outside (celsius).
-
Too warm.
-
91F(32.8C) :zombiefuck:
-
28C
-
A wonderful 24C even with my computer heating up the room.
-
My body temperature and the heat of the washing machine brought the temperature in the room up to 17ºC.
-
23*C
-
I'd expect around 20C but can't be arsed to confirm.
-
Just decided to turn the heating on. It is 16.5ºC right now. 18ºC is nicer for a girl with a cold.
-
65*F. I like my room chilly when I sleep
-
65*F. I like my room chilly when I sleep
To me, that is a warm room.
I will sleep with my window open, also during winter, unless there is a cold wind blowing right inside. Then there will be a window open on the other side of the house. And I always turn the heating system down to a point where it will still make sure the house will not freeze, so 12ºC or so. I do like my water supply system to stay intact. But I also like coming in a cool livingroom when I get up. So that I can enjoy it slowly heating up. Turning the central heating system on by 2 degrees at a time. A hot radiator for every girl coming out of bed in the morning.

This is just the natural air temp right now. I don't put my heat on until it's into November and I like sleeping with the window open in the winter :)
-
Ah, that makes sense.
I do have the heating on right now. Even got it high, for my standards, 19ºC. I'm wearing a pullover, a scarf and carry a hot gel bag in my neck. Clearly the flu. :P
Past weeks, I have put on the heating in the evening once or twice, not even for the temperature, but to chase the humidity from the house. Having the heating just one degree over the actual temperature, for half an hour, with windows ajar, makes all the difference needed to get a good atmosphere again.
I have no rules for time, when the heating goes on. Just do not want to sit in the evening in a room at a temperature of 16 degrees Celcius. In the mornings that temperature is fine. If the weather stays soft for a long time, it may be deep in November before I turn the heating on during the day. If the weather cools down rapidly next week, then I won't wait till November.
-
I find that here, the evenings and early mornings in the winter are the coldest. I like to light a fire first thing in the morning and again in the evening and it works well to take the chill off.
-
I have a house with a central heating system, and no fire place.
I do have an oil heater, somewhere, but it has been a long time, since I used that one.
Oldest kid is fleeing the livingroom today. 19ºC is too hot for her.
-
19C or so.
-
I dunno exactly. It's a cool, rainy, springlike February day. I'm airing out the room. 8)
-
About 73 degrees
-
15C
Going to get a sweater.
-
Not too warm right now. I turned off the heat hours ago, and the bedroom is the coolest room. 8)
-
It's a little warm and stuffy now, and a bit dry. It's making my throat sore. :tard:
-
Guessing around 20C. They've installed floor heating in the flat, which is nice.
-
It's a little warm and stuffy now, and a bit dry. It's making my throat sore. :tard:
Did you ever buy that hygrometer, to feel safe in making your room a bit less dry?

No, I'm fairly comfortable in my bedroom, now that the heat's off. I also don't want to
risk causing mold or mildew with too much humidity. Work is the driest place these days. :apondering:
-
My bedroom has always been the coolest room in the apartment. 8)
-
My digital thermometer says it's 13.3C (in my bedroom) a little over a 1m away from the slightly open Velux-window. I don't mind though.. I like 'fresh' air.
T-site says it's 2C outside at my whereabouts.

22 degrees celsius (66 degrees farenheit) and its 9:25pm
-
Hard to say. It feels too warm, but that could just be the hot flashes. :P
-
21.1°C
-
17,5 °C
No need for heating today.
-
19C.
I'm glad that this important thread was revived. :P
-
Too warm at the moment, so I have turned the heat way down. Hard to guage at my time of life.
-
20.4°C
-
Unbelievably right now, just past midnight, 54F/12C. Highest it has been all month.
Started out yesterday morning at 22F/-6C and now we will have normal temperatures for a few days.
After Sunday though. it will get cold again.
:bigcry:
-
ROOM temperature? Kind of mess up that last post. Wrong thread.
I just switched from heat to cool on our AC unit. Early in the week we had twenty degrees below average and for the next two days we are predicted to have about twenty degrees above average temperatures.
Instead of snow we could get severe thunder storms and even tornadoes in certain prone elevations.
:zombiefuck:

65F(18.3C)
-
20.2°C
-
29C outside and, since the window is open and the air coming in feels cooler than the air already in here, I'd guess thats the room temperature as well.
It's supposed to be halfway through Autumn. I don't think we've ever had an Indian summer like this!!!

It's supposed to get to 30C here in the west on Monday.

Are we really talking about ROOM temperature?
I think that any "first world" civilization should be able to control the the temperatures of a few rooms or so.
Mine right now, according to my really high-techy thermostat is seventy two degrees Fahrenheit. I like it that way. Live long and prosper, all of us.
It is about sixty something outside and I have enjoyed it immensely, but the sun is beating the hell out of anything that does not move, like our dark brown roof.
SO, I am using the air conditioning unit to make our house a bit more comfortable.
-
21.3°C with the window open.

19C.

You're welcome.
18ºC.

I do have heating, but no airconditioning. Will use a fan.
Hardly ever gets over 24ºC inside though. In winter in the mornings it may be 12ºC, but most of the times it is 14ºC then. My thermostat is set to 18ºC most of the times. Sometimes I change it to a bit higher in the evenings.
No heating needed today.
-
A blistering 21.5°C.
-
In the kitchen, the thermometer reads 14°C. It's a bit cool as I only have a t-shirt and pants on.
-
We have the temp setting to 81. Since we have fans in most of the rooms, it's not bad at all.
Edited to add: This month's utility bills
25.01 for gas for the house (water heater, clothes dryer and stove/oven)
26.00 for water (billed EOM. this is the monthly amount, the minimum (5,000 gals/month). includes trash, park support, etc)
27.13 for electricity (set at 81 degrees)
-
76F or 24C
The air is on. We've had an air quality alert for most of the week...today is better since it rained...but still kind of sucks.
-
77oF
-
30C. I can't decide whether or not to turn on the air conditioning.

Do it, do it, do it!
Imo, 30°C is too hot.
