Title: Rage, lemme pop you a question!
Post by: ZEGH8578 on September 27, 2013, 12:44:10 PM
How do you imagine, optimally, a US-Government or existence?
Like, in terms of geopolitical consistency:
Federal gvt
50 states
county-levels are next, right?

Are you imagining another party in power, while keeping all constitutional basics?
Or are you imagining a union broken up, providing full sovereignty to each state?

You confuse me a bit with your stand on government, and I'm not sure which level of government, if any, you prefer. And I'm not fishing here! :D
For example, if broken up, each state would be in immediate need to ally, for example, as a country like New Mexico would be easy pickins for Mexico, if suddenly defenseless, bound by no defense treaties, maybe not even a UN member :D It would be annexed in a day, realistically speaking.

If you imagine the same 50 states kept unchanged, united under a firm, federal government, with all constitutional basics intact, what are the principal changes you would see to the federation as a whole?

I'd like to see the federal government vastly reduced in size, the removal of the Federal reserve act and other unconstitutional protections of banks and corporate interests. I want the majority of lobbying to stop, RIGHT THE FUCK NOW. I want corporations and banks to be held accountable for their actions, and to receive no further bailouts.

I'd keep the constitution relatively intact(but add some more clear language concerning the civil liberty of the people), and enunciate that representatives and employees of government derive their powers only from the will of the people. Trying to get around this would result in a life prison sentence, or the death penalty.

I would preserve the historical structure of the states, yes.

I only say the death penalty so that people would understand that if they wanted to commit treason like that, they'd better be ready to pay the ultimate price for it.
