Wow. Where to begin ? I originally joined here 5 years ago, but after some major crises I became a recluse, and since I didn't have my own computer, couldn't post here. ( not that I was a prominent member- I was still a newbie when I stopped posting-but I always loved this place ! ) After obtaining my own laptop I tried posting again, but couldn't, and assumed my membership had lapsed, so I registered under a different name. Then I saw my old name ( Reborn 2005 at 40 ) still on the membership list, so I feel like a sock puppet fraud. I also feel guilty because Jack and Semicolon sent welcoming messages, but when I tried to reply I kept encountering "You have incorrectly answered the verification questions". ??? I am human, am pretty sure of it, and know that five and two equal seven, so I don't know what the hell the issue is. I had the same trouble ( re ) registering , and it took several tries to get in. I also feel almost superstitiously afraid to post here, because I had just started posting again on AFF, and we all know what happened there.

any circumstances. I feel so overwhelmed to be back on I^2 that I'm exhausted just typing this ( and being a 2 fingered typist doesn't help ! )so I'm going to stop babbling like an idiot and am going to sleep. Nighty-night, everyone !

Thanks for all the welcomes. ( Was going to put an ! at the end of that, but realized that I do too much of that when I'm on Aspie-related boards, because I'm so excited to be on them that I get semi-hysterically hyper ) .

Oh, and I tried using three different browsers, but no luck. I'm sure it's due to my internet semiliteracy. So I guess I can't use the private message feature until I smrten up.
Hykeaswell, my name comes from a dream I had where I became a trillionaire and moved to an ultra-luxurious apartment house that had the name "Pinktiehouse Apartments". I am not a recluse any more. I was attacked twice on the streets of my vile disgusting town, and didn't want to venture outside. But now I'm eligible for demand-response bus service ( mini-bus comes right to my house ) so I do go out practically every day.

I have joined the board that Al Swearingen pointed me to, but I haven't posted there yet. It's still overwhelming to be back in the Aspie online world. I originally belonged to around 15 Aspie forums-one fun guy on zMOG called me a forum slut because of it. :LOL:
Yes, I'm here to stay. I always loved it here. I originally joined because some people on AFF always referred to I^2 in the online equivalent of hushed voices,warning people against joining, implying that it was such a scary, evil place that only the very brave or foolhardy would dare venture to approach it's terrifying portals. So of course I had to join. I half expected alarm bells to sound, bolts of lightning to strike, and the computer to explode when I dared click "Register".
But it's so overwhelming to be back on my old forums that I have to take long breaks, although since I usually stay signed in it must look as though I'm always online. I am so full of adrenaline from posting this that I'm going to go watch some On Demand reruns of Spartacus to work it all off.
