Title: PZ Myers scrapes the bottom of the barrel

 Apparently, it's OK to accuse someone of rape with just hearsay evidence.  ::)

Michael Shermer filed a cease and desist order on monday giving PZ Myers 48 hours to pull down this post. As you can see it's still up.

Considering that the blog post is still up I guess the cease and desist order didn't work.

No, Michael Shermer seems like he isn't going to take this to court because he'd have a hard time proving damages.

Besides, he probably has bigger things to worry about than a 3rd rate scientist/blogger from a backwater University that nobody's heard of.

The story that I've heard is that this was a case of consensual sex where the woman involved was cheating on her boyfriend with Shermer. She regretted the affair years later and decided to tell Amanda Marcotte (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanda_Marcotte) except she changed the story to one of an affair to a tale of rape. Amanda then passed the story to PZ.

This was the first I had heard of this PZ Myers person. It would seem that he is a cunt, anyway.

He, along with Richard Dawkins, was in the "documentary" Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, starring Ben Stein.

That was the high point of his career. He's been doing his best to become an atheist/feminist/SJW Jim Jones ever since.
