You are stranded, alone on a desert island. You have enough food and water and know you will be rescued in 7 days. What would you want/need for those 7 days? (And remember dildoes require batteries and each battery is an item.)

A lighter,machete,a long book that I would like,sun block and my reading glasses

Totally forgot a phone, I'd swap out the Kindle for a phone so I could call
everyone I know and :blah: for hours, bitching about conditions on the island!

Oil tanker, oil tanker, oil tanker, oil tanker, enough oil to fill 4 oil tankers. I'd sell them to the highest bidder.

A tent, medical kit, medium-length knife, something like a parang or kukri, lighter, laptop with satellite uplink...I confess, I am a terminal internet addict :P

Reading glasses, sunblock and a book.
For the rest? Not sure what to choose from these four options:
Pencil and a blocknote.
Knife and thin rope.
When there are no trees, there would have to be a parasol, or something like that. Huge towel, or blanket would be nice then too.
Were the island big enough to have massive amounts of mosquitoes, mosquito repellent, and something to treat bites with.

Of course, my medical kit would have to be well equipped (i'd count it as a single item of course)
My regular meds (oxycontin, tizanidine, clonidine, xylometazoline nasal spray, fexofenadine, a sedating antihistamine also...forgot the name of the damn stuff....its on the tip of my tongue, so to speak, but I just can't recall it right now :P, chlormethiazole, and indomethacin)
Other stuff-
Water purification tablets
Needles and thread in case a wound needed stitches
100% alcohol (multiple uses, for sterilizing objects like the above needle+thread, after dilution to conserve resources to help get a fire going, and of course, again it can be diluted and used to get good ol' fashioned rat-arsed :D)
A large pouch of tobacco/rolling papers-a lit smoke can be used to remove leeches and the like if needs be, or tobacco juice used to paralyze the lil' shits (for medical purposes y'all understand :D)
A couple of oz each of a good hash, and skunk, again, many uses...pain reliever, anti-inflammatory, antinauseant/antiemetic, appetite stimulant, muscle relaxant, sleep aid....
a selection of broad-spectrum antibiotics, antiparasitic agents, An infection that would be minor whilst in civilization could prove fatal if allowed to fester away from medical help.
Surgical scalpels and blades.
Tourniquet.
Polyvalent antivenom raised against the local venomous snakes etc. and the syringes, IV cannulas and drip needed to administer it in the case of a bite or sting from something venomous.
Bandages, splints, sterile dressings, a couple of slings, and topical antiseptic.
Local anaesthetics.
Some spare pain meds...something other than oxy for a change, some good ol' honest to god morphine sulfate wouldn't go amiss :lol1:

is to be ditzy and distracted! :GA: *crams vial of medication into a pocket, just in case*

But, there would nothing be to organise, and nothing to be in time for. The perfect time for a holiday from the anti distraction meds. 5 Days of indulgence in distraction. :hyke:

Re-reading my earlier posts, I'm struck by my failure to grasp the futility of having a phone
for any great length of time on a deserted island with (presumably) no power for recharging. :fp:
Still, I would want my phone for whatever use it might be at contacting the outside world for help. So ...
1.) phone
2.) nail scissors (I still hate having nails with the white part longer than 1mm)
3.) antibiotic ointment to treat cuts
4.) my Strattera
5.) a flashlight
But I really hope I never need to spend any time alone on an island. I like my solitude with some luxury! :nicegear:
