I think there would be less problems in the world if more people were militant secularists
-
Yep, time for a worldwide war against religion. No more letting religious leaders get away with their religious sins against mankind.
-
Warsi is a stupid bitch. I agree. I couldn't give a rats ass who worships what or who. I don't think it should have anything to do with politics.
Religion and Politics = two separate issues.
Praying at a council meeting is just ludicrous to me. I hate occasions that are forced on me to 'pray' because i won't do it and i don't like the attention i get when i don't follow the crowd.
I don't force my atheism on others. :zoinks:

Unfortunately, that's your political preference, but not the reality.

The fact that you continue to go out of your way to read these things leads me to believe that you have a masochistic side. :whipped:

Ah but a British court ruled that the local council meetings could no longer subject its attendees to a 'let us pray' at the end. One up for the athiests. Must have been a cool judge. :zoinks:

all the more reason to disestablish the c of e. then the "but this is a xtian cuntry!" ppl wont hav a leg to stand on

Ah yes the good old C of E.... now let's look at it's origins! Wasn't that the one that was formed and made up by good old King Henry VIII? because he needed to break from Rome who wouldn't grant him a divorce from his wife Katherine of Aaragon because he had grown tired of porking the spanish and had the horn for Anne Bolyn. He hoped Anne would give him a son, but cut her head off when she spawned more daughter's (one of them being Queen Elizabeth I who was historically one of the greatest rulers ) Oh yes, and didn't a few Catholics get burned as a direct result of the C of E's birth?
Well there is some good old fashioned values there, sexism, murder, intolerence of the beliefs of others, to name just a few.
The good old Church of England.

The moral of the story is that the only true church is the Catholic Church. :pope:

Intolerance of the wrong beliefs of others is a virtue. :M

Yeah, we have activists fighting an ongoing battle in the U.S. trying to separate church and state. We coudl be worse, but se do pretty much suck at it:

There was once a time when the Monarchy had a lot of power over government. Not any more. The church is on a slippery slope and will soon be out the picture. Inevitable.

i always found it weird how the US has no establishd churh etc but seems much more religious thaun the uk, even tho we are the ones with a dodgy church, prayers everywhere, religious leader in buckingham palace and bishops in the h of l etc. how come US seems so religious compared to europe?
-
^Especially so, there is even an area called the Bible Belt.

Straight from the bladder is the only way some people can go.

Well it makes sense since there is no establishment to proclaim that your specific religion is totally wacko (see Scientology and Mormonism).

Well, that's cryptic, what do you mean? :orly:

I get it now, I remember House catheterized himself once! :orly:
-
I just saw an ad on tv where House drinks a patient's pee (if it wasn't his own).

I think he knew that the patient put apple juice in their specimen cup and drank that, if it's the episode I was thinking of.
