FITCHBURG, Mass. - A Massachusetts mother says the FBI used a chain saw blade to cut through her door and held her at gunpoint for at least 30 minutes before agents realized they were conducting a raid at the wrong home.
Judy Sanchez, of Fitchburg, says she awoke to heavy footsteps in the stairwell on Jan. 26 and walked into her kitchen in time to see a blade chop through her door.
"That's when I heard the clicking of a gun and I heard 'FBI, get down!', so I laid right on down," she told CBS station WBZ in Boston.

A chainsaw really come on did they want to have the people shoot at them or what? I bet if she had a gun she would have been shooting seeing that I would. WTF when will people see this has to stop? But on one of the articles I read there were comments that supported this :zombiefuck: Shit like this is wrong on so many levels not to mention highly dangerous for everyone involved and for no good reason.

But on one of the articles I read there were comments that supported this :zombiefuck:
Yes, the attitude supporting The Man has always been strange to me. I think people want to believe that the world is fair so they rationalize all suffering by saying, "Well they deserved it." That way they can feel secure that the FBI won't be water-boarding them as long as they play by the rules.
Or maybe people just like to suck up to authority figures.
-
sounds like the job was being executed by a real professional outfit :o All they needed to do was knock and say "i've come to read your gas meter"

Or wait till they head out to the store.
-
You'd think it would take enough time to cut through a door with a chainsaw, that any self-respecting crackhead could climb out the back window.

A chainsaw??? :zombiefuck: I would have shot their asses...and then they probably would have shot me. ::)
Probably good she wasn't armed if you think about it.
They shouldn't be able to do crap like this. :grrr:

The use of the chainsaw sounds odd to me too. What's wrong with a battering ram?
Whoever misdirected the team to that house ought to feel like a real asshole. :thumbdn:

Ones with a death wish. Who ever would have thought that it may be the police coming in and not some insane killer like from the movies. It screams shoot now you may never have another chance.

I hope we shall not have to break into your home, young smartass. :police:
-
Also chainsaws are not very good to be around if you hit metal. If your lucky it will wreck the chain but it could throw it off too

Could it have thrown the blade back at the officer wielding it? :yikes:

It could go anywhere. I have a chainsaw but it's one of the few tools I have that I can really see myself getting hurt badly using and am very careful about using it.

My front door is made of heavy steel.
My back door, inner front door and outer front door have aluminium cores with PVC cladding, insulated PVC bottom panels that might have some aluminium in them for strength and toughened glass double-glazed upper sections. The doors have a fair bit of weight in them, and while they're not exactly impregnable, an intruder would be better off smashing their way through the large toughened glass, double-glazed downstairs windows if they weren't packing a battering ram.

Steel entry doors here to though one has windows. Cutting into houses is probably easiest with a Sawzall you can go right through the siding. I have worked on some that did not even have rigid sheathing under the vinyl siding just foam board those you could get in with a knife and a good kick.

I'm good on 3 sides, unless they want to climb a ladder. The stone is 3" thick plus in places. The weak link is the garage door & front windows, and my dad said he could always pick them off from the upper deck there. :zoinks:

We have real houses around here, with a couple of layers of brick or concrete block (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cavity_wall), usually covered with roughcast for extra protection from water penetration by driving rain.
There's a house a few houses up on the opposite side of the street that has steel security shutters behind all the windows, upstairs and downstairs, where blinds or curtains would normally go. I don't know if it's someone in a witness protection program, or if they're generally paranoid about people breaking in or whatever. The shutters are usually down, but I sometimes see the upstairs ones for the master bedroom open late at night (past midnight), with a large TV visible from the street.

Wonder how they would 'rewrite' the situation if she LEGALLY put a few rounds in the "intruders"?
-
I hope she will put legally more than a few metaphorical holes in them.
That woman deserves a whole lot of financial compensation for the "inconvenience".

That's a very common sight in most towns in Germany. One reason they have relatively low crime.
