i know too few, and each typically have only 2-3 specials :(
i love dave chapelle, bill hicks of course (his preachy bits are a bit.. boring, quite frankly, but i love his everyday bits), older carlin stuff (hes too shouty in the later bits), john pinette is great, gabriel iglesias, eddie izzard and just discovered jim jeffries whom i felt to be a bit weak, but with a very good sense of humor
that indian-american dude i never remember his name, i find him to be totally average, not too awesome, not too bad. same goes for old eddie murphy routines.
as for richard pryor, i get a sad feeling from him :D i havent seen as much as i should tho, so... i guess my jury is still open on him.
comedians i dislike are dane cook (shout shout) and george lopez (coked up aggro bad-vibe :D) and that douchebag with the puppets and the oh-so-overused make-fun-of-terrorists routine

I like Jim Gaffigan, you might have heard of him. He mostly does food jokes, though.

hmmm i dont think ive seen any standup shows of him
he guested the muppet show once, played dueling banjos, the guys a banjo-talent :D

My favorite comedian right now, by far, is Neil Hamburger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Hamburger).
I could go into ridiculous detail about why I love this guy, but instead I'll just say he's so pathetic and unfunny that he's brilliant.

Not sure to label them all stand up comedians but here are some British (UK) ones I like..
Bill Bailey, Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr, Hugh Dennis, Omid Djalili (Br. Iranian/funny chap), Noel Fielding, Russell Howard, Sean Lock, David Mitchell and Lee Mack.
Um, if wished you can find videos of them on Youtube, I think.
-
Okay.. a bit of Bill Bailey then..
Bill Bailey - Donkeys On Cocaine - Cosmic Jam (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjpFRviS0kw#)
(will try to find some clips of the others later on)

Tadski Sean Lock?
Sean Lock - Live At The Apollo - Part 1 of 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SklxlxQ324c#ws)
Could post the videos elsewhere but since.. ja.. whatever..

Oh well..

I forgot to mention Dara O'Briain before. Reckon him one of the best comedians around almost present time. Very funny chap, in my opinion. Love 'his Mock the Week' show on the BBC also..

Well, like Dara explained, that's not the truth (the stereotyping) of course.. or my opinion for that matter.. about the Americans, the French or the Dutch/Angolian/whatever there..
Oinky doinky..

Um, wrote ¼ of an essay about how I feel some of you here (but that goes for e.g. WP too) focus way too much on the negative shite in life.. and, blah, how some seem to forget to point their noses towards the more positive/nicer/funnier things around 'at times' too..
.. but..
Another clip of Lee Mack maybe? Well, he makes me laugh.

Bill Connolly is great.
I am a massive lefty so my comedy tastes lean that direction. If you are a lefty like me you will love Lewis Black and David Cross. Bill Maher's older stuff is also excellent, last 2 or 3 have been of a lesser quality.
-
Think Ross Noble is brilliant as well..

Sorry.. if 'I' insulted anyone with my previous posted youtube vids here. Do not really compute but.. ja, it gave me some insight about I² as well..
Well, maybe this chap might hurt some feelings too.. dunno.. but he's able to mock himself here. Not taking himself too seriously.. which I consider very healthy.
Jon Richardson..

You? As a thin skinned bloke, maybe?

I'm terribly insulted (emo)

I'm surprised Frankie Boyle isn't more popular round these parts if he's not already been mentioned.
-
I can't believe that no one mentioned Sam Kinison. :jawdrop:

Got the chance to once see him live in the Saenger Theater in New Orleans.

I saw Dara O'Briain last week. He's good. :)
I've also seen Milton Jones, Adam Hills, Andy Parsons and Russell Howard live before. Howard's sense of humour is quite juvenile, so it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Milton's humour is a bit like that too, but it's a lot more downright silly than it is juvenile. Andy is quite political in his style of humour while Adam's humour is a mixture. On his TV show (The Last Leg) he can be very political though.
Dara interacts with his audience a lot and his jokes/stories are a mixture.
