People will buy anything. This though like it or not is a piece of history

Not the type of thing I fancy. If I were to buy them I would burn them.

Don't want the sheets.
Stains probably could be removed quite easy. Fold the sheets loosely. Place them in an old-fashioned washing kettle, or any other big pot. Ad plenty of water with washing detergent, and then boil the washing for a while. Gently stirring the soapy "broth". Make sure the cloth gets submerged often.
Rinse gently, because it is a really old fabric.
Chances are that all stains are gone by then. If not, drying them outside, placed on a lawn, on a very sunny day, may do the rest.

Now I know what to get Lit for Xmas!!! :zoinks:
* ponders whether it will be worth the effort to get all the stains out first *
This would be an item the Queen would love to blow up, and Lit would love not to blow up.
Weird.

I find it odd that they are being sold in the UK. Whoever buys them should consult hyke for cleaning advice. :)

Somehow lots of big auctions happen in the UK.
Some people may like the stains. Might still contain remnants of the first owner. :zombiefuck:
