Title: Crazy in the news
Post by: Parts on May 18, 2011, 12:38:19 PM
How about a thread for the nut jobs that make the news.  I find the stories of crazy people comforting at times as I can look at them and say to myself "well at least I am not that bad"  and think what the fuck were they thinking.

Here is a local one from today's paper and a town just three towns away from me

Fairfield woman arrested naked at school car wash

FAIRFIELD — A 43-year-old Fairfield woman has been arrested after police say she undressed and urinated in front of children near a car wash fundraiser for a local middle school.

Amy Ficke is charged with creating a public disturbance and driving under the influence.

Police say children and others at the McKinley School car wash witnessed Ficke get out of her car Saturday and relieve herself.

Police said Ficke failed three sobriety tests. She is due in court on May 24. A message seeking comment from Ficke was left at her home.

You're supposed to squat to pee, right?  If you are a girl, I mean, and you have to pee outdoors.   :orly:

I suppose I should order one of those, just in case I'm overcome one day by the urge to pee outdoors!

Two Rivers, WI — According to Two Rivers Police, Nichole Lavin, 23, of Manitowoc landed on the roof of a residential garage during a one-car accident Monday.

The incident report described Lavin as driving at a high rate of speed and swerving in and out of traffic. Witnesses said she lost control of her car, struck the median, went airborne, crossed the oncoming lane and then rolled four times before landing in the front yard of a home.

Lt. Shawn Engleman of the Two Rivers Police Department said Lavin was ejected from the car through the broken back window, flew through the branches of a pine tree and landed on the garage roof of the residence. Lavin then climbed off the roof, with assistance from bystanders, and tried walking away from the scene before authorities arrived.

The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Engleman said alcohol was believed to have been a factor and the investigation was ongoing.

This guy would definitely feel right at home here.

Man admits having sex with 1,000 cars

A man who claims to have had sex with 1,000 cars has defended his "romantic" feelings towards vehicles.  Edward Smith, who lives with his current "girlfriend" – a white Volkswagen Beetle named Vanilla, insisted that he was not "sick" and had no desire to change his ways. "I appreciate beauty and I go a little bit beyond appreciating the beauty of a car only to the point of what I feel is an expression of love," he said. Maybe I'm a little bit off the wall but when I see movies like Herbie and Knight Rider, where cars become loveable, huggable characters it's just wonderful. "I'm a romantic. I write poetry about cars, I sing to them and talk to them just like a girlfriend. I know what's in my heart and I have no desire to change." He added: "I'm not sick and I don't want to hurt anyone, cars are just my preference."

Mr Smith, 57, first had sex with a car at the age of 15, and claims he has never been attracted to women or men. But his wandering eye has spread beyond cars to other vehicles. He says that his most intense sexual experience was "making love" to the helicopter from 1980s TV hit Airwolf. As well as Vanilla, he regularly spends time with his other vehicles – a 1973 Opal GT, named Cinnamon, and 1993 Ford Ranger Splash, named Ginger. Before Vanilla, he had a five-year relationship with Victoria, a 1969 VW Beetle he bought from a family of Jehovah's Witnesses. But he confesses that many of the cars he has had sex with have belonged to strangers or car showrooms.

His last relationship with a woman was 12 years ago - and he could not bring himself to consummate it, although he did have sex with girls in his younger days. Mr Smith, from Washington state in the US, kept quiet about his secret fetish for years, but agreed to be interviewed as part of a channel Five documentary into “mechaphilia”. He is shown meeting other enthusiasts at a rally in California

Talking about how his unusual passion developed, Mr Smith said: "It's something that grew as a part of me when I was a kid and I could not shake it. "I just loved cute cars right from the beginning, but over the years it got stronger once I got into my teenage years and was my first having sexual urges. "When I turned 13 and the famous Corvette Stingray came about, that car was pure sex and just an incredible machine. I wanted it.

"I didn't fully understand it myself except that I know I'm not hurting anyone and I do not intend to." He added: "There are moments way out in the middle of nowhere when I see a little car parked and I swear it needs loving. "There have been certain cars that attracted me and I would wait until night time, creep up to them and just hug and kiss them. "As far as women go, they never really interested me much. And I'm not gay.”

Mr Smith is now part of a global community of more than 500 “car lovers” brought together by internet forums.

Boys Kicked Off School Bus For Passing Gas

CANAL WINCHESTER, Ohio -- Two Ohio boys were kicked off the school bus for a day after passing gas and causing a ruckus.

James Nichols, the father of the 13-year-old boy involved, said the incident Thursday led to giggling and heckling and prompted riders to lower windows, The Associated Press reported.

He told The Columbus Dispatch the boys apparently were considered repeat offenders because a driver had warned them after a similar indiscretion weeks ago. This time, officials at Canal Winchester Middle School decided it was an obscene gesture that violated the student code of conduct, the AP reported.

Nichols said it's "laughable" the boys would be punished for something natural and unintentional.

His wife said she's offended by it after recently being hospitalized with gastro-intestinal problems.

Officials at the central Ohio school district didn't return the newspaper's calls.

Whyyy does it make the news when a couple of hooligans are screwing around on a school bus? At least the high schoolers who get kicked out of prom are trying to make a stand for gay rights or whatnot. Do they really have nothing better to do in Canal Winchester, Ohio?
