Title: A good Free antivirus anybody?
Post by: ZEGH8578 on April 08, 2011, 06:05:24 AM
Not AVG, it hogs my memory
Not Avast, for some reason, i cant install the latest one. the installer refuses to work, and i cant be bothered w it
and not Avira, because it keeps identifying my no-cd cracks as viruses...

You might want to investigate what's wrong with your system first. Not many AVs left to suggest.

(btw, ive no idea why i posted this here :D)

and hm... crap... AVG has always hogged my system, both this computer and the previous.
i read other complaints about avira deleting peoples game exe's, even in their own forums, they simply say they "dont support pirated software"........

there should be more than these 3?? :/

Free AVs? I'm sure there are others but you did list those that are considered to be the best.

MSE is good, too.

For me, top 3 would be Avast, MSE, and Avira.

Definitely MSE, I've been using that for the past couple of months and already I got the good impression out of it, it's also pretty lightweight and I think if I recall correctly they use so many different databases from different antivirus programs put together?
