OK, I tried it again, putting my face about eight inches to a foot from my laptop screen while staring intently at the black dot and I was able to see colors for a second when it switched.
The wall on the left was light yellow, the wall on the right was dark red and the trees were green.

I think it's a fake and that the pic is coloured to start with. By the way,it looks like the entrance to the university in one of the neighbour towns.

I saw the colour. The pic looked black and white when I looked away from the dot, and then looked coloured again when I went back to looking at the dot.

The picture is colored in reverse to start with, sort of like a negative, and you stare at a black dot on it. Then they show a black and white image and I guess your brain fills in the colors, but it doesn't work for everyone.

Not a fake. Did not see it the first time. But, when I read what I had to see, I watched in a different way. Some ways of staring can give a negative after-image for me. So, I stared in the right way at this negative of a coloured photo, intense, and ignoring the background. And I did see the black and white in colours for a few seconds. I might have seen it on a white wall too though.

At chemistry, during a test, if they removed the periodic table chart, and I had been looking at it. I could still see it, but in negative colours, on the door it used to hang on.
I could see it, but not read it. The moment I tried that, it would disappear.

I also have weird eyes.

I see the trick, I experience this when wearing tinted 3D glasses too long and remove them. Basically you eyes become acustomed to the negative color shown and when it switches to black and white, the eyes will see the color invert suddenly due to them concentrating on staring at the negative.

It worked for me. I tried it again twice and it got less and less effective.
