what d'you think bout this shit yo
-
I currently have about 20 gig of stolen music, so, i say
NO
for purely selfish reasons
-
lol and I agree. Although lately I have been downloading off itunes (only a few songs though as I can't spend much) as Limewire went tits up :(
-
use torrents !!!!
kickasstorrents has everything in the whole world. I even download really really rare movies.
-
I have no clue about what's legal or not, so I just listen to music on Youtube!
-
I download everything from music to programs worth 1000s to buy. uTorrent and the usual torrent websites. Well aware of the illegalities but I frankly don't care.
I do need some of those programs for college and I don't have the funds to buy them, so fuck it. :zoinks:
-
Who (apart from stupidly rich people) could seriously afford to buy everything legally anyway? Computer programs especially cost loads
-
I think that people who misspell simple words in topic subjects should be "puneshed".

Puneshed howe? :squiddy:

Oh come on I make typos all the time

He can't help noticing them. He IS a punctuation mark, after all!
-
I thought he just had an unfortunate accident and lost some of his colon

I hope I never lose any of MY colon. I might have to eat a restricted diet thereafter! :emosad:
-

But this is the sort of typo that you could catch with simple proofreading. It's obvious.
-
I don't reread my threads though

I don't reread my threads though
Of course not. It would interfere with the pace of your spamming if you actually reread threads before you posted them. :zoinks:
-
I don't reread my threads though
I preview my posts before submitting them. I catch my typos most of the time! :police:
-
I miss a lot. Mostly punctuation. I promise I know how to use apostrophes Im just careless ;) At least I know that A LOT is 2 words and I know the difference between A WHILE and AWHILE
-
I make loads of typos. Usually stuff that doesn't matter (to me) though, like a semicolon (lol) instead of an apostrophe, because of the keys. Other times I accidentally use letters that aren't even near each other on the keyboard
I figure as long as people can understand what I'm saying , it dpoesn't matter - I mean it's a forum on the internet, not an essay :P
-
the its/ it's doesnt bother me, cause I often make the mistake by just forgetting the apostrophe
The one thing that really bugs me about grammar is the your/you're thing. It's just so easy to remember.
-

Semicolonic irrigation at it's finest eh? :zoinks:
-
The obvious apostrophe ones that bother me are the ones where there's not meant to be one, but someone puts one in anyway
It is easy just to do the wrong one anyway though when you're typing fast, even if you know your grammar well

That must be why I don't make many errors...I just don't type fast enough!
-
I type pretty fast and sometimes my fingers just move oer the keys dodgily
-
My problem is that I type faster than my ability. I can only go like 35 a minute and I try speed through it at 70 and misspell half of everrything

indeed  good job

Anyone who is anal (or semicolonic) about grammar inevitably end up being complete hypocrites.
Why?
They'll fuck up their grammar sooner or later.

Hypocrisy is a violation of a person's professed views by that person. I did not claim that all grammar had to be perfect; I simply pointed out an obvious error.

yeah, I really do agree. I've made some ROYAL mistakes
The reason I get bothered by your and you're is because they have 2 different definitions. typing "youre" and forgetting the apostrophe is one thing, or to make a few mistakes out of carelessness or making a genuine type, it is fine...but what I mean is that sometimes it's just obvious someone just doesnt know the difference and always writes "your".
Just say to yourself. Is it you are ? If so - it's YOU'RE !!!
-
Yes, yes, backtrack if you must.
There's a difference between simply pointing out someone's grammar and implying that you see yourself above people who aren't completely anal about grammar.
Hypocrisy is a violation of a person's professed views by that person.
Your view means that inevitably it will violate itself. If you think people who don't proofread need to be punished, then you must punish yourself eventually.
-
I don't think people who pirate music or games should be punished. I pirate lots of stuff.
I don't even think pirating music should be illegal, although I'm not so sure about games.
-
PC games are being pirated because companies like EA etc. are fucking putting all sorts of dodgy copyright protection into them. It pretty much puts people off from buying them.

That is true. I don't think I'd want to use STEAM, or anything similar. For me I just prefer not to pay though. Lots of games are crap, and others don't run well on my computer.
People will always pirate games if they can though. I can't understand why anyone would pay £30-£50 for something they can get for free.
-
I like steam though, none of that "only can install it on so many computers" crap or installing rootkits. Can download it as many times as you want, on any computer. The games on there are cheaper than to buy in a shop, at most you'd only have to pay 30. Special deals come along and allow you to get games for the fraction of that. The only gripes is that they don't easily allow you to play them offline, and that they force you to update the game. Still, to me it's a step in the right direction.
I am wary of pirated games because the cracks used will disable things like online play etc. I also can't apply patches to them.

I never play online, and I broke the computer I use to play games, so now I can't connect to the internet from it.
