Title: Should chimpanzees have human rights?

OK they're not human so obviously they wouldn't be "human" rights, but you know what I mean. Should they be afforded the same kind of rights that we have?

With rights come responsibilities.

Unless it can be proven that chimps conceptualize responsibility, they should have no rights.

Would that mean young children should have  have no rights? They can't conceptualize responsibility either

Yeah plenty of humans are retarded. There are chimps who show more intellect and ability than some humans

But they will someday, and if they don't, they end up in prizon with their rights taken away anyways.  :M
