time to start saving for a new computer.

right now it works, and it sortof goes on and off with games, but you know... thats no good. the past 2 days games has crashed catastrophically every 30 minutes, plus i get random crashes concerning modem and whatnot, idunno. i just dont trust it to last that much longer, and i barely dare play games on it.
i was just glad it surpassed the one i had at the time, but i guess its nearing its end allready.
i really want a completely fresh computer tho.

my first computer was a 1st rate gaming computer. i could run all the latest games at maximum settings - and i didnt even have the wits to appreciate it. totally took it for granted.
6 months later, any game i had to play on medium settings "aw :("
4 years later, i fried its insides.
ever since then i had to play anything on rock-bottom settings
this computer is still old, but a bit more muscly than the one i had, but i still have to play old-ish games on medium. brand new games are simply out of my reach.

they always look so open and free and airy
this one is SO jammed up w crap its impossible to clean inside, its almost impossible to move anything around.
i had to get a graphics card for it when i got it, and i spent like 30 minutes sneaaaaking the fucker in there without breaking anything. i was sweatting and trembling. thats not right :(

haha reminds me of when i fried my computer, the old one, the tower was pretty huge too (it was the olden days), i have no car, nobody cared, so i took my baby in my arms, and walked through the city with it

Fallout New Vegas is the same game as Fallout 3, just in a new location. I'm not sure if I want to put myself through that again.
I prefer racing sims, like Race Pro for the Xbox 360. That's the best racing game ever put onto a console, when it comes to driving and the track selection.

my brother played mass effect, the two other ones i havent heard of
i get too routinish w games tho, so i rarely check out new concepts.
i tend to stick to a quadruple family of fallout/elder scrolls/gta/civ
for the moment im still sick of gta, its cool, but SO adhd
i also have a weak spot for sim city, but im totally sick of playing it on an inadequate system, so im not gonna even consider it untill i have a new computer :I

They're kinda similar idea to elder scrolls. Neverwinter nights is quite old and should run on older computers.

hes such an aspie too, i realized last time, he was ranting to me about this awesome multiplayer space-game, where all you do is to woosh between stars and shoot other space ships, he insisted i HAD to join cus it was SO awesome.

I'm going through a thing for role playing games at the moment. I love Oblivion/Fallout, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and I've just got Neverwinter Nights.
my brother played mass effect, the two other ones i havent heard of

i tend to stick to a quadruple family of fallout/elder scrolls/gta/civ
for the moment im still sick of gta, its cool, but SO adhd
i also have a weak spot for sim city, but im totally sick of playing it on an inadequate system, so im not gonna even consider it untill i have a new computer :I
They're kinda similar idea to elder scrolls. Neverwinter nights is quite old and should run on older computers.

oooh one game im getting back once i have more spectacular ram is "hearts of iron II", its tailormade for aspies
its a big ol world map, and a ww2 setting, but whats so kickass is all the programming is based on notepad and excel files, so you can easily tweak the game any way you want
secondly, the world regions are all-inclusive, so if you wanna play ww2 and INSIST on being... paraguay! yes paraguay totally, you can! of course, you cant do shit as paraguay, cus paraguay sucks, and the game's realistic like that but i love it.
now, since all the worlds regions and countries and country regions are included, once your done killing hitler, you can tweak further, and begin to decolonize africa and whatnot. its fully possible to switch countries between saves
ill usually play ussr, follow historical events closely, then "fix" africa and asia, make sure communist china wins, and expels nationalist china to taiwan, ill closely monitor the korean war, to make sure it divides properly, then end it :D
to me its an history-geek aspies dream :D
finally ill tweak the game-length
ive had saves where i am russian federation in the 90s, where i am battling chechnya :D i make flags in mspaint
only fuckup is, if you make ONE rushed error, while tweaking, your whole save-file is fucked, unless you manage to locate the error again :I

actually, while searching for hyper-detailed "world games" i came across europa universalis, but i found it very limited ;D
like i said, you can zoom out, and you have the whole world. if you make so all historical events occur, you may even get a message that peru has attacked ecuador (this did happen during ww2), and if the AI doesnt get too buggy (oh it might :D) peru will end the war, and keep its conquest (which it keeps to this day), all for the sake of realism :D i love it
"hearts of iron 3" exists, and is even more detailed, however i seriously doubt it can be customized as easily, and that was more than half the charm in my opinion.
whenever i up my computer, i think ill still revert back to "HOI2" rather than 3 just for that

I lost EU when I broke my computer and had to reset it, losing everything I hadn't backed up :( I'd been meaning to download EU for a while, but I'll download HOI2 instead, and if I like it I'll download HOI3

i didnt know theyre the same developers
the games are strictly meant as a ww2 history game, so ill stick to HOI2 simply because i can re-design it to take me into modern times, and have modern world issues.
with a TON of patience, you can even create the "war on terror" :D
but even HOI2 _ends_ after 1948, UNLESS you manually change that in the game files (some patient exploring around, and you should have most of it figured out. theres a tooon of files, but a pretty clear cut system to it all)
what i fear is since HOI3 is newer and better, theyve probably used more advanced programming, making it more difficult, or even impossible, to tweak it into becoming a "fully fledged" world-game.
