Try rinsing your mouth every couple of hours with warm salt water.

Is it a gum ulcer or a coldsore?

Difflam gel (I dunno whether you get it in UK) helps with gum ulcers and tongue ulcers, and Zovirax is for coldsores (as you already know).

It's inside my mouth

I've been getting cold sores the last few years as well. Annoying. I used to get them as a kid and then didn't for years. Since I've been at uni though I've had several  :thumbdn:

They're worse because they fuck up your face lol

but at least they don't hurt like this bitch

I get them a fair amount of the time, I'm used to them.

Chew a fresh clove of garlic.  It's antiseptic and the terrible burning pain from the allicin activating your pain receptors will drown out whatever pain you're feeling from the mouth ulcer.  You also won't be able to taste anything for a while, so you'll be less inclined to try eating.

Fascinating suggestion!  :nerd!:

It can happen due to something you ate too. Something too salty or too sour, or something you're just sensitive to (but then it'll usually be more than one or two).

I can't eat walnuts, I'll get them all over my tougue, the roof of my mouth & down my throat. :zombiefuck:

I get itchy in all those places, also in my inner ears, but I don't think I get ulcers.

Do you carry Epi-Pens now, in case you accidentally eat something with nuts in it?   :nerd!:

Probably should maybe, but walnuts are the only problem, and the ulcers were the only reaction I had with them. I just avoid them now.

Rage reccommended vitamin B for me a while ago when I had two ulcers at once. I don't like Difflam as it's too jelly-like and hard to rub on the sore. SM33 is much better if you can get it.

Ulcers, or cold sores inside your mouth? I hate it when I have the latter, Zovirax or Vectavir are no help then.

One time in grade school, I had a humdinger of a canker sore inside my lower lip,
a big gray bubble that left a tiny raw red hole after the top layer peeled off.  Ouch ouch ouch.  (emo)

I second the recommendation of warm salt water as a healing rinse.  It really works.
