Twister lollies ftw.

Most people around my area call them Icy Poles. Dunno who calls them Ice Blocks (per Wikipedia).
And lit, you could of used the smaller image from the Wikipedia article.

Any way, when we buy a box of them usually the green ones are left 'til last.
-
Choc ices.

:duh:

Orange ones I like the least. Cassis, Cola and Lemon are my favourite in the cheap range. And Pear is my absolute favourite.
-
goddammit i want another ice lolly :viking:
-
There seems to always be a perpetual rainbow pack of them in the freezer. The skinny ones in the clear plastic tubes, the red ones go last.

I love the green ones. Kid eats them all before I can normally get one.
-
Ice popsicles are great imo. I like the grape ones.
-
I prefer Italian ices!

Oh yeah. Lemon ice has to be the most refreshing thing ever.

Lemon ice is indeed the best choice for a hot, sticky day! It's one of the few good things about summer. 8)

Reminds me of the Lemon sherbet Slurpee from 7/11 called Yellow Yeti, WHICH YOU CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE!!! :grrr:

OK, when I am in a town with a decent Italian ice restaurant, there is no way of restraining myself. I just love Talamini.
So good there isn't one in this village. Here I will choose the watery icelollies

"Watch out where the huskies go, don't you eat that yellow snow" :evillaugh:

So funny how I forget that other countries have states...I used to think of Australia as one big outback, with gum trees full of koalas in every back yard!

Don't forget deadly snakes and spiders. Plus all the kids ride kangaroos to school.

I've seen some of those funnel-web spiders on TV! :hide:
But the kangaroos rides must be nice. :2thumbsup:

I do I do!

I call them popsicles. Lemonade and raspberry are my favourite.
When I was really young they had a flavour called pink lemonade, which was lemonade but obviously with a little shot of raspberry through it. I miss them :(
I also love lemon sorbet / gelato.
And Splices...lemon / lime with a vanilla ice cream centre;

You can also make a cocktail called a Midori Splice....they are super yummy.

They're called "isglassar" in Swedish. "Ice-cream" is "glass", so ice-creams of real ice become "ice-ice-cream". :orly:

In north Queensland, water ices are called 'Bijingoes'

Ice on a stick is called "ijsje" or "ijsco" here.

In German it's "Eis". :viking:

Isn't that what Dr. Elliot Reid from Scrubs called vaginas?
-
Yeah I remember that.
I also remember something similar to these:
Instead of your ice falling off the stick these ices were contained in a foil packet. Where I am from, though, they used to be called Freezas and they had a slightly different shape. They were also available in cola flavour which was my favourite.
-
Yeah I remember that.

Sunny Boys were big when I was young at primary school. But they were a different shape, more of a triangular pyramid. Plus after you'd finish, you'd look inside the wrapper to see if you won a free Sunny Boy and you usually did.
-
Yeah I remember that.

I wonder why they were so generous with the free Sunny Boys. Did they have a massive freezer malfunction and have to unload their surplus before it all melted? :zoinks:
-
Yeah I remember that.

I think it was just a promotion thing, as far as I can remember, I was around 10yo at the time.

I don't remember it. I didn't like the orange sunny boys. I was a Glug girl. Sometimes Razz's too.
I remember they had one called a 'Hassle'....it was yellow, but not lemon flavoured...pineapple-ish, I think.
