I remember the stories of how my nephew was electrocuted at work on a pole and his friend tried to give him CPR and MTM while he shuddered into death, hanging by his safety belt.
My brother was going to go alone to identify the body of his son, but i would not allow him to go by himself. He was beside himself already and not thinking straight and maybe protecting the memory of his son from anyone who had ever loved his son, by doing the hard deed alone. I went with him. It was unpleasant. Poor young guy was burnt to a crisp from his head down to his severely malformed, boiled-over feet. All that CPR and MTM from his co-worker friend came before the heat-curdled blood from his exploded chest made its way to the outer layers of my nephew's work clothing.

This image hurts for me to look at.
I blocked it.

She's beautiful.  Reminds me of Jean Rhys quote - "Have all beautiful things sad destinies?" from her novel, Wide Sargasso Sea.  Even though her size is what I would consider fat on a modern woman today, I still consider her gorgeous.

She WAS beautiful and her buxom body was the style of the day.

I  have resisted posting old women, who were awesome in their prime, because I already have way too many things working against me, which set me completely apart from those i would like to get to know here.

Have you followed the career of Natalie Wood? (she went through several phases of beauty - I am partial to brunettes, even though I have made buttloads of money photographing properly blondes. Blondes are difficult to photograph without losing a bit of theri details to the massive deficiencies inherent to the photographic process. Phhotographing blondes was a talent that came from my understanding of the value of light. Black women are almost as difficult to photograph well. I basically applied the same set of my personal tools to make them look their best. It is mostly about compressing the intensity of the light to a value that the film, dating myself, or digital processor can actually capture. Simple to me, impossible for those who mostly photograph neutrals and only see things within a narrow band of light values)

I never knew you were a photographer :P Natalie Wood was awesome in West Side Story. I need to check out more films of hers. I'm also obsessed with Jean Rhys :laugh: however there aren't that many pictures of her out there unfortunately.

Mum is not letting me have a pet.  Bitch.  She let my sister have a hamster, even though the last time my sister handled that poor creature must have been at least a couple of months ago   >:(  I must have handled him more times than she ever did!

As for being short-lived, I think 3 years is plenty  :laugh:  Obviously nothing compared to cats or dogs but I kinda like it that way.

REO Speedwagon railbus, currently owned by the Clarks Trading Post in Lincoln New Hampshire, this photo is on the south leg of the wye track at White River Junction Vermont on the Claremont and Concord Railroad (formerly the Boston & Maine Railroad's Concord to White River Junction mainline) during the Glory Days of the Railroad, an annual railroad celebration held in White River Vermont.  This was originally a regular road bus that was converted for rail use, it used to be used for passenger service in remote parts of Maine before most people owned cars.  I took this photo a few minutes after taking a 3 mile ride in this bus.

I like these two the best. I'm a bit amazed at the lack of fencing between the train line and the parking lot in the second one though. It's not like these things can stop for a kid running after a ball or anything like that.

I worked on a private island before about a half mile off the coast.  The guy had six houses on it all his and had just spent six million dollars running underwater utilities out to it.

Yeah, photographers sometimes seem to have a lack of understanding for spaces like that.  :dunno: I still like it. I see it in interior design photos too, but I'm not sure if it's the photographer or some weird clash between decorator and designer, but it's sometimes painfully obvious the person who designed the space isn't the same person who staged it for a photo, and they clearly don't get each other.
