Title: Ask Nomaken anything

Because otherwise his (misguided?) humility is going to stop us from having any fun....

When I saw this i made an audible "What!"  But the humility that prevented me from making one is probably the most clearly false humility spoken of in wikipedias description of narcissism, because i'd love answering questions because i'm such an attention whore, so i was just not starting one to cover my own ass.

Nomaken, who is your role-model and why?

if you don't have one, who comes closest to being your role-model and what do you admire about them?

I have never known a person who I saw as exactly the kind of person I want to reach up and try to become.? I've always figured what a role model was is like a future version of me but i can't quite become that version because it is so great.? And I never knew any person which I thought was so perfect in every way that I wanted to try to become them.

There have been many many people who I admired in certain ways, and I tried to become more like them in those ways.

Hannibal lecter is the first one.? He's like a sociopath, but methodical, not impulsive.? And he seems to have a thing for kindness(implied by him having a thing against rudeness).? I like people who treat social rules like the arbitrary bullshit they are, but still want to be kind.

I admire any person who has a goal and will do whatever they can in a effecient and effective manner to achieve that goal no matter what.?
So I admire terminators.? All 3 models that I know about.

I also admire George Carlin in a lot of ways.? He is playful and weird, thinks about odd things.? He is also evil in a lot of fun, realistic ways.? Perverted, violent, dark sense of humor, but okay and at peace with the pointlessness of life.? He also is fantastic at creating comedic bits that are funny and/or intelligent, dark, and rhythmically pleasing.? And he creates them with a brilliant combination of maturity and vulgarity.? In his old age he has done a lot of rage filled humor, as opposed to his early "ain't it weird" humor.? Which i'm not sure I really like, but i know i don't not like it.? Also his most recent comedy hour sucked horribly, which may mean he is losing his edge, but i'm going to assume it was because it was like 3 weeks after 9/11 and he needed to totally fuck up his bits because he is really big on counter culture.? And he knew that wouldn't fly.

I admire Kenshin from the anime.? Who is humble and skilled and carries overwhelming mental scars and is the fights only when he must type of hero.? He is also an agility over strength type.

I admire Guts from the anime Berserk, because he is a fount of power that will never ever stop in his quest to survive and defeat those who have wronged him(and believe me, they wronged him) and save those that are important to him.? His battle is best described in the word: heroic.

I can't tell buddism, hinduism, or taoism apart(i forget which one is which) but one of them has a founder which I admire greatly.

One of my psychology teachers, Dennis Underwood, is a poster boy for perserverence.? He can't write(learning disability), they told him he was retarded, he dictated his papers and has PHDs now.? He has asthma(real bad), when he was young they told him he was never going to be as strong as the other little boys and girls, he runs marathons.? He is 60 years old, and I swear to god he looks 40.? He fought in some war, refused to fire his gun, he actually stood up and yelled to get shot and his sargent or whatever grappled him and threw him down.? They put him in charge of resupplying, he was excellent at that.? He has told us stories about how much ass he can kick.? But he is a funny, and playful type.? He is also very friendly with girls, he has expressed that he makes friends better with girls than guys.? He has terrible stage fright(yet teaches child psychology).? He is a mormon, and a father of 3.? He is an excellent teacher, seriously.? Best one i've ever seen.(And i keep track of that shit.)? He is also a skilled therapist(I could tell by how he treated my questions, seriously, he never responded to anything I said in a way that didnt make me feel better or not key me to continue.)? I admire a lot about him.

Can't think of anybody else at the moment.

My hobbies besides the internet include reading, writing(a bunch of different shit), watching movies(with and without crying), ranting, learning ANYTHING, petting my kitty, talking to myself, watching anime, roleplaying(we're talkin' pen and paper kind here), sleeping, eating, getting drunk/stoned(been letting up recently, need to confirm non-addiction) and masturbating(although i've been indulging in that hobby disturbingly infrequent lately and unbecoming of my pride of being a hedonistic pervert.)

And my favorite anime is probably the animatrix, the second ren.? And totally because of its message about robots becoming sentient(and not just matrix fanboy-dom) and humans being inhuman, i really identify with any story where the protagonist is inhuman.? But Lain and FLCL come in close second.

If you woke up naked in bed, with a naked Serissa beside you, what would your reaction be?

If you woke up naked in a dank cellar room with a naked PeterMacKenzie across the room from you, and you each had a handsaw and, and there was a corpse in a pool of blood in front of you, a dirty toilet within your reach, a tape recorder, a cigarette box, a dildo, a viagra pill and a sheep in the room with you, what would you do?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything

1. Okay, i'm gonna leave that question about girlfriend/boyfriend/fuckbuddy for another time because that is going to require a really long thought out response.

2. Well, if i post a picture, i want to go get the picture taken, because I want the lighting to be good, and I want to be posing like how I actually walk and lurch and do things.  So I can't be holding the camera.  Also, I wear very baggy clothing(comfort issue mostly) so you can't really see the melted buddhaness.  But essentially it is the buddha, melted, and minus like 100 pounds(i'm not sure how much buddha was supposed to weigh, but i am a fair bit thinner than him).
Also I have a complexion like cabin fever.  I'd be willing to post a picture of myself naked, because I have no shame, but seriously, i don't think ANYONE would be better off seeing it. (make sure you watch cabin fever in chick vision)

3. I might be making a memory up here, but i believe i stuck a toothbrush up my ass once when i was 4 because i was curious.  Decided it was pretty uncomfortable and didn't do it again.  And no, it wasn't my toothbrush.  Foresight 2 win.

4. I've been thinking about who would be cute to ask a whole bunch of evil questions to, and who would really be embarassed by the attention, but i don't know if they browse intensity.

5. If i didn't remember anything and I WASNT hungover, i'd panick as hard as possible, i'd jump out of bed(like getting chased by a bee fast).  If she didn't wake up, i'd go get in the bath tub and hit myself in the head as hard as i can on the wall, get some blood on it, then lay down and knock myself out.  If I am here because we somehow got together, i'll say I was taking a shower and slipped and fell.  If it turns out i'm here because one of us date raped the other, i'll say I wanted to take a shower to clear my head and slipped and fell.  Either way, when the shit hits the fan, i wont be conscious for it.  If she did wake up, everything would be dependant on her reaction.  I'd freeze until there was more input.

6. If i was the guy in the tub, i'd attempt to find the key before pulling the plug out of the drain.  If that fails then for about a half an hour i'd talk to no one and say if this is a joke, to let me out, but if it wasn't then i will crush my leg to escape.  If my leg was cuffed, i'd puncture my leg where the major nerves are, severe them, then crush my foot and leg with my bare hands, pull it through, and then try to get out.

How much do you want a girlfriend/boyfriend/fuckbuddy?  What would your ideal relationship be like?

I won't ask for a mate.  I am picky, and selfish, and i know i have no right to be considering what i'm willing to give up.  But until I have a mate there is going to always be a persistant pain of loneliness and lack of fulfillment.  I don't know everything, so i won't say it is impossible that that person for me will be a man, but it is much easier for me to visualize my perfect person to be a girl.  And that is about 85% due to shallow appearence reasons, and 15% because I really don't look forward to having sex with a man(or the guilt of not being interesting in making love to a man when he wants me to).  As horny as guys are for women, i'd really not like to have to deal with that.
I'm not interested in a fuck buddy at all.  If we have sex it will be because they want to.  I'd have to be really stoned to want to actually have sex.  Seems what i'm interested in with women is equal parts cuddling and foreplay.

I am looking for an intelligent, confident, and spirited person who has a relatively impressive goal they are working toward.  Like I am planning on becoming a teacher, and try to create teaching techniques that will foster peoples curiosity and open mindedness and eagerness to learn.  Help people become whatever they want to be.  I also plan to become a therapist, and be friends for people who have no other lights of hope in their lives.  I want a person who also has a goal, a career which they have decided to undertake because it is the most effective way to change the world in a way important to them.  Not just to make money.  I plan to look for this person once I have a job as a teacher and i've made some money.  I'll be willing to move to the other side of the planet to be with the person who is perfect for me.  I just hope their quest will allow us to be together some of the time.
I want them to be playful, and curious, and be interested in the things I am interested in.  I'd like it if they were honest, and kind, and patient.  I want them to be fascinated in me, and I want them to be fascinating to me.  I want them to be an incredibly interesting story that I couldn't read all of in a life time.  I'd like if she was laid back(at least some of the time), and was very perverted, and had a dark sense of humor as well as a playful sense of humor.  I'd prefer she had her own methods to entertain herself, that I could join in with when i wanted to and she could join me in the things i was doing to entertain myself.  I'd want her to accept me when i am totally naked honest before her(we're talkin' figurative here), and she was not cruel to me.  And she was willing to share herself totally naked honest before me, and did not fear i'd be cruel to her.  We would be each others perfect friends, and perfect support of each other as we fulfilled our quests to change a small part of the world we lived in and was important to us, and we admired each other for our perserverence.  I imagine we'd be really really weird people.  I'd also prefer we are friends with each other friends, and didn't have to lose them when we were in love with each other.

I'd like to be able to masturbate in my chair for instance, and she'll walk by and tell me the pizza is going to be here in 30 minutes, she wants me to watch some movie with her, and i'll tell her i'll hurry up.  Cute fun things like that that are so weird.

She'll be reading, and i'll walk up behind her and pounce her, and ask her what's been happening in her book.

I don't think it is terribly important, and i'd think as intelligent as this person would be, and irreverent they'd probably have no problem with this, but they might misunderstand what it means to me.  I would prefer to never get married to this person.  I feel like marrying a person is a sign that you dont trust them.  It's like they're thinking, "Well harold is the sweetest most perfect man i've ever met, but just incase he does cheat on me, i'll totally fuck up his life."
And i'd prefer that we do not identify with each other as husband and wife.  Those words have moral and emotional and dare i say sexist connotations to them that i'm not really interested in adding to my PERFECT relationship.  If they are really interested in getting married, i will, but I really don't feel like it is a positive emotional addition.  I want to forever know this person as my best friend, my soul mate, not my Wife.  I don't ever want to identify her as my wife, i wanna call her by her first name.  If we did get married, I'd ask that it be anything but traditional.  I want cosplaying, I want unsettling music, i want people playing video games, i want everyone to be blitzed, and we'll hold it in a hotel so people dont have to drive home.  And there are gonna be strippers and dancers, and people watchin' horror movies, and i want the preacher to be so flamboyantly gay and cute that both me and my mate want to flirt with him.  I'm still debating what to wear.

Also, i'm going to make a small remark about what sexual things i kind of hope she'd be into.  I mean, I ask for so much, if she isn't into this, i'm not gonna ask her, but if she genuinely enjoyed sucking cock, and eating cum, with everything else, i'd swore i had gone insane and my hallucinations were by some stroke of luck very very kind to me.  But i know most people don't like that or bukkake, so i wont be disappointed if they don't want to.

1.? Although i'm not terribly interested in achieving domination over the world(1-because i don't think i require domination to achieve my ends and 2-because i don't think i'm capable of being recognized and retained as supreme world leader) if i did achieve domination, i would do a whole lot of things, so i'm gonna answer that later.

2.? Well, i don't quite know what the common social definitions are for most disgusting, so i'll just lay down a couple of different things i've done which would probably rate up there.? I've killed a mouse(accidentally, but it was through negligence).? I still feel bad about that(i have no emotional reluctance to kill and/or torture humans, but animals are another story.)? I've tasted my own pee and one others(oddly his pee tasted like blueberries, very sweet, and mine was horrible.)? And I have tasted my own semen.? I am low on sperm, but that would only constitute 1% of the fluid normally, but it was salty and kind of vinagery, i prefer A1.

3.? I don't know jokes really.? I mean, one of my obsessive interests is stand up comedians.? So my memory is filled with essentially story jokes or bit jokes.? I also have a library of memories of funny situations in movies and books.? But the one thing that stands out in my mind as being the funniest single "joke-story" i've ever read was that last couple of pages in a chapter of hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy when the newly born whale was making his way to his potential friend.. the ground.? And i was in a "quiet-place" when i read this.? So I had to almost bite off my goddamn knuckle not to make any sound.

4. I mentioned bukkake because I enjoy both cum on girls faces and them eating it.  And it seems like it doesn't exist on the internet a fascination of exactly that Cum-loving.  There is either women who want to EAT cum(or are willing) or want it on their face(or are willing).  I am interested in women who want to genuinely eat cum(or are willing to act like they do and they do a good job at looking like theyre enjoying themself) but they also enjoy being covered with it.  So first they'd get covered then they'd try to lick it off.  I have like 2 videos out of several thousand where the girls look like they are genuinely enjoying having cum on their face, and enjoying eating it.
And i'm not into it for the humiliation aspect.  I just love the juxtaposition of such a cute, beautiful, and "pure" thing as a womans face, and the erotic naughtiness of cum.  It is the epitomy of unlady like behavior to want to eat cum.
I also mentioned bukkake because most people I know equate cum eating and bukkake.  And think both are disgusting.
I'd prefer I be the only guy cumming on my girls face when that happens.  Although i wouldn't mind her getting cummed on by other guys if she wants to play around as long as i can hear all the juicy details when she gets home.  But i'd prefer we make sure those guys are STD free.

5.? Yup, of course PMS Elle's cat is a fucking genius.? He can fly!

6.? Well, there are two things I find absolutely intolerably disgusting, spit and shit.? However i have never tasted shit, and if she really really wanted me to, i'd be willing to try it.? However i don't wager i'd like it based on its smell.? And i'd prefer not to be on a trading sexual favors basis with her.? I'd only really want her to eat my cum if she enjoyed it(it is hard to fake that), and i'd bet she'd only want me to if i enjoyed it.? But i definitely wouldn't be interested in having her eat my cum IFF i ate her shit.? I'd rather do the favor for free than doing it in return for something.? However if she wanted me to do it as a favor, i might be willing to if sufficiently intoxicated.

nomaken, which famous person do you most resemble physically?

And which which great thinker do you most resemble intellectually?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 16, 2006, 12:23:27 AM
I was once told I reminded someone of Norm Mcdonald.  But i don't see any resemblance.  He is far skinnier than I am.  I am not entirely sure... what i look like.  I could only tell you what i can see right now.  I never look in the mirror.  Even when i'm brushing my teeth i look at the sink.  I think it would be accurate to say i am slightly overweight.  Like if i lost 10 or 20 pounds i'd actually look proportionally right.  However I think i carry my extra weight very poorly.  I think you'd imagine that someone slightly overweight would be only so-so as opposed to highly unattractive.  Luckily I carry that weight in places easily concealed by bagging clothing.

And if i share any similiarity(in all respects) to any single person, muchless a great person, it's news to me.  I share qualities with many great people, but everyone probably shares some qualities with great people.  I have an instinct to be different from everyone else.  I don't think it is just teenager rebellion either, because i've had it since before i started school.  If i were to describe myself mentally i'd need to use a bunch of fictional characters.

Do you feel like intensity? is a kinda Safe Haven for you?? Do you feel comfortable being yourself here?? If so, then is it the safest place you have ever encountered?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 16, 2006, 09:48:55 PM
Intensity is more than just a safe haven.  It is my prefered method of social interaction.  Chat rooms and forums are so much more approachable and intuitive communication systems.  It isn't really the anonymity, because i have no problem revealing every detail about myself.  Moreso it is the loose system of interaction.
You can decline to read certain messages and people will to a certain degree assume you just haven't notice or been inclined to read a thread so you're not expected to respond.  In real life, if someone is screaming at you, it is harder for them to imagine you just didn't notice.
You can also decline to respond if you feel uncomfortable providing a response, or you can't think up anything good.  And people have greater reason to assume you just didn't notice.
You can carry on numerous simultaneous conversations without confusion, and keep a record of the coversation incase you get lost.  In real life 15 people talking at the same time would be incomprehensible, and after they've finished talking unless someone wrote down everything they said, or remembered it, it has just disappeared into the goddamn void.
You can wait to respond for a long amount of time(to indefinitely) and you can prepare written responses at your leisure.  Proof read it, have a student check it and hand it back to you, anything you want.  In real life you neither have the time nor ability(at least I dont) to remember a whole long response and proof read it mentally.
You can ignore certain posts entirely(there might be a function but also you can just not read posts by a certain person) if you don't want to listen to them.  While written word is capable of being ignored, if someone is screaming in your ear that your political party is full of silly ninnies, it is hard to ignore them.
You can come and go as you please.  You can start a post, go to sleep, wake up, and say things regardless of the 13 posts that have happened since, and you can leave a question or comment until after you've had lunch or whatever.  In real life you can't ask a question, and then tell them to hold that thought, you want to take a vacation in italy.  Or get up in the middle of a discussion and expect the discussion to be around the next day.
You are expected to know minimal amounts of social rules, especially on intensity.  They exist, and people who have less ability to grasp mood and tension will stand out as not grasping the issue or dispute.  And they will be hard to understand, or they may be misunderstood.  And they may become alienated.  Happeh was annoying, but i don't really blame him because he seemed to have a serious case of delusions and paranoia, so what we said went through a twisted interpretation that assumed angry, accusatory tone among other things.  I don't think happeh was necessarily an asshole, i think he misunderstood a shit load of what was said to him.  But obviously we held against him that his ideas were unreasonable and stupid.  If he had said he was a fantasy and science fiction author, we'd probably just consider him a bad writer rather than crazy.
But compared to real life, the rules you need to know are a cake walk.  Don't need to worry about fluency of speech.  Don't need to worry about pronunciation(have to worry about spelling to some degree though).  Don't need to look anywhere.  Don't need to gesture, don't need to be close to the person you're talking to.  Don't need to strain your ears and mind to distinguish front ground from background noise.  You don't need to be dressed up(or dressed at all, my personal favorite).  You don't need to make assumptions based on the persons race, sex, or ethnicity.  You barely need to grasp mood at all.  If terrorists just annhilated your capital and it becomes international news, it probably wont go over well if you post a series of Darwin awards stories and profess how you love it when stupid people die.  But somebody on here could have gotten raped last week and it wont be a taboo subject to consider rape this week.  That person can just decline to take part.

Intensity2 is a safe haven sort of, but it is more like home.  I do feel comfortable here, but actually the safest place i've ever encountered was in a broken futon as a kid when i had this incredible fever where i had blatent hallucinations.  It was fun.  The odd contour of the futon due to it being broken made it feel like embracing earth.  But a good 2/3rds of my mind were elsewhere so the hometown third might be reporting flawed information.  The second safest place is my car.  I swear to god, sometimes i go out there and just chill in there.  Read a book.  Look at the rain.  It's beautiful.

If you met a person who looked like you, acted like you, thought like you, and remembered everything you did(up to a point recently), what would you say to each other and what would you do?

If you were taking a shower, and a naked PeterMacKenzie stepped in with you, what would your reaction be?

1. I believe i last used dental floss last week(i do use it on my teeth and it does clean them, but not for its hygenic properties, rather for masochistic and stimming pleasure).

2.  After reading them all, i'd have to say the questions that imply i'd ever be naked and walking in on somebody.  I mean, i'd do it, if asked and everybody was okay with it, but i have no desire to be responsible for a whole bunch of people simultaneously bleeding from the eyes.

3. We'd both pause, make stupid expressions at each other, and then ask something like, "Uhh... are we hallucinating?"? And if he didn't ask something or say something which implied it was him who was insane, i'd question if it was a perfect clone and might have some evil alternate purpose.

4. If it turned out it wasn't we'd coversate about the nature of the clones existence, play around trying to figure out which one of the me's was the clone.? Then we'd talk about why we were cloned, and if there was? going to be any future reprocussions, and how we hope to god it was a skilled cloning and one of us doesn't turn into a hideous pile of diseases.? Then we'd try to think of some self depreciating crack about hideous pile of diseases.
Somewhere a long the line we'd start developing non synchronis exchanges.? But after we'd gotten all the cloning crap figured out, we'd talk about how we're gonna handle school, computer usage, sleeping scheduals, or perhaps some other creative use of a clone.? We would also split the work load of my evil plans in this lifetime.? I might take him to school with me.? I'm sure they wouldn't mind my twin brother there as long as he didn't ask any questions(anyway, i could handle all the questions, or he could, we'd probably flip a coin every day).? Because i wouldn't want to deprive him the right to learn.
But in sum we'd use the cloning thing to our advantage.? One of us would do psychology while the other did teaching, we'd split the work load of all our projects, developing better teaching techniques, learning about biology, physics, writing books, ect.

5.? First I would cover up my breasts.(still sensative about those things, not so much after i learned about my klienfelters, but still)
Then I would look down, and mumble, "oh yea.." and then cover up my crotch.
Then i'd scream, "Peter, what the hell are you doing here?"
If i got the gist that it was for something sexual I'd briefly consider it.... and i don't know what my reaction at the time would be(would depend on my mood) but more than likely i'd run out, get my shirt on then pants(if i was naked in a huge auditorium, i'd sooner try to cover my breasts that my crotch).? And then eat some brekfast in my kitchen.? Maybe call the police if i got the impression peter wanted to rape me, probably not.

6.? I'd try to gather whether what was happening to quirky was willing or not.? As for flourescent, eh.? I'd apologize about the mess, then I'd sit down at my computer, and post how I was hallucinating that peter was whipping quirky carla.? Listen to some music probably.? http://gmanwonderful.ytmnd.com/

7.? Indeed it is brilliant. Although when i posted the clone question in everyones thread, i wasn't stealing it from her, i just made it up on my own.?

If the robot was high enough quality(AI indistinguishable from being alive), probably yes.  She'd need to be able to clean her self up though.  I don't consider it worth it if i have to scrub semen off her face(and out of every crevice in her mouth) every time.  Although it is far more likely that i'd just talk with her than actually have sex with her.

Before I found out I had an excuse for them, i was really embarassed.  Now, i think i'm embarassed just out of reflex.  I wouldn't get rid of them.  Although I don't when masturbating sober, i've heard reports I do fondle them while drunk.  And even though i don't remember anything when I drink that much,  I don't want to deprive that person a toy.

I became very agile at changing in a doorless stall while holding up a towel.  Now in changing rooms, i'm like, fuck if i care.  I'm moreso considering getting implants so theyre firm and round.  I don't have mammary tissue in there, just fat, so they're pointy, just like the men who undergo the sex change therapy breasts are.  However doing that will probably make me look much like how you imagine man-hating lesbians look like.

1.  If I were world leader, probably the only truely important thing I would do is reorganize the values of society.  That is, i would try to socialize people to adopt certain values I decide are most productive, and effective to their own ends.
I am not entirely sure what values I would select, but among them would be the greastest happiness for the greatest number of people.
Happiness doesn't always lead to greater effeciency in other areas.  I could figure out a set of values that would make humanity a survival machine, becoming as powerful and as populated as possibile in order to ensure survival against other species in existence.  Since given infinite time, and the principles of natural selection, there will exist a grand empire of beings who have evolved biologically and socially to survive, and that may include destroying or subjagating us.  Or we might be that people.  Although as time goes on the probability of running into an even more powerful and undefeatable race grows.  As a matter of fact, given infinite time, there is an infinite probability that we're doomed to be destroyed by a far more powerful race.
Given that, and assuming existence has no point or purpose, I'd build a society that put happiness on its list of values.

I don't plan to have this society be a perfect working machine.  As a matter of fact, i plan to just implant the values, and then let them work out how they want to exist on their own.  Although it would probably, after careful thought, emphasis more on education, research, culture, and intelligent supportive social organization.  I think after some time, based on the values, that they'd organize an excellent, productive, effective society on their own.

There are some values I can think of, to clarify the kind of society i'd like to exist, but they aren't well thought out and i'd prefer for them to be before I declare them.

But some things to consider is that i'd prefer if in this society that if you want to try harder, you get better results, but i'd prefer if there was a certain quality of living provided to all citizens, as long as they were willing to work in some lowest paying job they'll have available.
I'm not sure what exactly that quality of life will be, but i'm thinking, enough food to eat, housing that isn't too terrible, and the ability to buy some pleasurable consumer item.  And I feel that in a society that follows the other values, there will be so much production, the resources devoted to this minimum living will be negligable.

2.  My most used profanity is probably fuck, and while it is the one i like most, i would really say i have a favorite profanity.  It is hard for me to gage which swear word i use most or is my favorite because I try to use them evenly and infrequently.  There are very few profanities i've ever actually used as an insult.  I've used quite a few simply because it seemed appropriate at the time, but i bet there are hundreds i've only read, and never said, or haven't even read at all.  I can't say I haven't seriously insulted anyone with a profanity over the last 10 years, because my memory isn't THAT good, but i can say that the number of times I have seriously insulted someone with a profanity in the last 10 years is probably under 20.  Mainly because when you insult some with profanity it makes you look worse than the person you're insulting.  Doesn't help anything.  I've even observed that rule while blind with rage pissed. (I wanna go on a little tangent here.  I can control my emotions with incredible reliability, and the way i put it is, "It is easy, all you have to do is be willing to commit suicide."  Which sounds stupid and irrelevant, but when something happens and if you react in a certain way you are going to get in real trouble, but you are so overcome with emotion and you feel your first impulse is so justified and right, and worth the reprocussions, giving that up is like commiting suicide.)

3.  I've been pissed off by at least 3 people, but not very badly.  Not to a point where I cared about it for more than 15 minutes.

4.  I would own slaves.

5.  I would prefer A in my garden, but B in my bong.

What's the strangest thing you've done while horny?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 19, 2006, 01:34:22 PM
1.  I would let you fondle them.

2.  I would say, "Can you kill me tomorrow, i'm really tired right now.  And i've got class at 7 am."  If they said they were going to kill or rape me, i'd say, "Well then I guess I don't have to write my english paper, that sounds like a pretty good excuse."  Then i'd call the cops.  Get some caffeine in me, lie down in my beg with one of my golf clubs(in my room there are plenty of improvised weapons), and accidentally fall asleep.

3.  If she wanted to see my breasts, i'd have no problem letting her, and i probably would be interested in seeing hers, but i'd prefer it not be on a trading basis.

4.  I didn't do very many interesting things during my getting high career.  I've said a couple of things which resonate with, "A high person said this,"  like "There is a whole lot of mountain dew in this mountain dew can."  And there was this one time while wasted when in a combat game not oriented towards single player victory, i apparently kicked more ass than everyone else on both teams put together.
The strangest thing i've done while sober and horny is probably masturbate in a park in waves.  I'd not climax, just masturbate.  A combination of the beautiful scenary of the park and the pleasure from masturbating was interesting(i wasnt deriving any sexual pleasure from the area).
The strangest thing i've done while drunk(long island iced teas, they were powerful, i took one sip and my eyes glazed over in 5 minutes.  I only remember up to about 25 minutes after i started drinking, all this stuff is reported from others and due to evidence) and horny was try to pounce this girl in our hotel room(there were 4 of us).  And apparently asked things like, "Does my cock beat a strait flush?"  And I was fondling my male friend.  And apparently I tore the bathroom door off its hinges.  And apparently i was masturbating and fondling my breasts rather openly.
I have no desire to let this person live again, and while I don't think he'd believe he is annoying or undesirable, he will trust my wishes.(I accept that in different states of consciousness, I, we are different people.  The next time I get that drunk, you could probably ask me who I am and i'd say, I am my drunken self, you need to keep an eye on me, i've heard I am unruly.  When drunk I make decisions based on the reason of previous judgements, not current emotional states, so I can leave messages for myself when i am not all there.)

Do you wear a bra?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 21, 2006, 10:50:34 AM
No I don't, but i've always wanted one.  I don't want to traumatize somebody working at Target by asking them to give me the breakdown of bra sizes and comfort levels.
So, if some girl here could please explain it all to me, I can actually go buy some.

Because I can't stand the restrictive feeling of cotton boxer shorts, i get silk ones that are stretchy.  And I've totally ripped all of my briefs to shreds.  They sit there, giving me support, ect, but then they cut into me, and i stretch them to loosen them up, but after about 3 stretches they get torn up and set on fire.  So if i'm going to get a bra it needs to be virtually seemless and soft as hell.  But i'd really like one, up to this point, ive just been using my shirt.
If you tell me perhaps the best kind of bras to get are only available at lovers lane, i'll go there, and i'll buy em, but at least i wont be totally ignorant on the matter.

I'm no expert, and I don't know the size and shape of your breasts, but I think bras have two different sizes: the measurement around, horizontally, and the size of the cup part in front. You could get a tape measure and wrap it around your chest to figure out the first one. Your best bet might be to go to a department store, sneak a few bras into the men's changing room while pretending to try on other clothes, and just see which ones felt the most comfortable. Or go to an adult store where the clerks won't even blink to hear a male asking about bra sizes.

If you are actually serious, I would recommend a sports bra made of cotton with a wide elastic band, because other bras would probably cut into you too much.  You probably do not need to worry about cups unless your breasts are big enough to hold a pencil under them.

Here is a link that shows you how to measure for a bra:

Half the reason I'm hesitant is that I don't want to walk in and ask, "What size do you suppose I am?"

Did the link I posted not work for you, Nomaken?

Here is the part from the link about measuring for a bra:

Measuring Up
Here is a pretty accurate means of figuring out your bra size. First, you need to take a measuring tape and measure around your back right across the middle of your boobs. And right across your nipples. You need to find the fullest measurement. Make sure to hold the tape measure straight but not tight. The difference between this measurement and your BAND size is your cup size. Each inch of difference is equal to one cup size. For example, if your band size is 34" and your full across-the-nipple measurement is 35", you wear an "A" cup. Now, all you need to do is figure out your band size. Take the measuring tape and wrap it around your ribcage just below your boobs. Make sure that it is level at the back and the front. Your ribcage measurement plus five inches is your band size. So, if you measure out at 29 inches and add five inches, your band measurement is 34.

If The Difference Is:
less than an inch =    AA cup
an inch =    A cup
2 inches =    B cup
3 inches =    C cup
4 inches =    D cup
5 inches =    DD cup

If we were talking about fruit, what kind of fruit would we be talking about here?  Plums?  Oranges?  Grapefruits?

Well, I guess I had to say a type I could not tolerate is what doctors often refer to as mild discomfort.  I would so prefer blinding agony to mild discomfort.  But things like sharp pain and dull pain, I like them equally.  If i was effectively told it was okay to withstand the pain, i wouldnt care either way. (When I experience severe pain I am much more worried it will do serious permenant damage to me than the actual pain)

Thanks Peter.  I am assuming you measured your ribcage just below your breasts.  If this is the case, your bra band size would be 37 + 5 = 42 inch.  Since your boob size is actually less than your band size of 42, your cup size would be AA, unless you used a sports bra, which would fit sort of like a short t-shirt with an elastic band at the bottom of it.

Here is another bra size calculator where you input your measurements and it outputs your bra size:

http://bra.and.bras.googlepages.com/bra_size_calculator.html

Here is some information about sports bras:

http://bra.and.bras.googlepages.com/sports_bras.html

These measurements are only guidelines to decide which bra sizes to try on, by the way.  Different bra manufacturers are not necessarily consistent with one another.

Unless you consider DXM an opiate my closest experiance with an opiate is codeine.  (My dentist also gave me something he said was 100 times more powerful than morphine, but the next thing i knew i was looking at my dad with gause in my mouth, so if any questions i asked about it were answered, i don't know.)
And codeine just decreases my sensativity to pain a little(i've experimented by hitting myself on the leg with my fist as hard as i can while under no influence, and while under the influence.  I've also experimented with other OTC pain killers.)  What it does, that is interesting, is it guartentee's lucid dreaming.  During the weeks following my wisdom teeth extraction I screwed more women in my dreams than during the last 3 years.

I'd nominate myself, and cackle maniacally every time I mentioned it.  This way I make no enemies, and i'd wager nobody would want to eat me, especially if i suggest it, and the cackling maniacally would also probably worry people.

And yes it is an excellent question.  And if they did decide to eat me, i'd prefer that than having to publically decide the value of people.  At least I wont live on with people knowing that I judged someone was worth less than me.

No; I can see it quite easily as well (which is niether a compliment nor an insult, but merely an association).

I'd ask them to agree as to who I save first.  If one of them falls off during dileberation, the remaining person will win by a unamimous vote.

Favorite color: Purple.  Cause that's my xellys hair color.  He's so cute.  *bites xellos*

I always assumed it was an older harry potter, is it not?

Terminator 2.
Bicentennial man.
Iron Giant.
Short circut 1 and 2.
Animatrix.
Powder.
Hellboy.
Beauty and the beast.
Interview with a vampire.

And any other movie where the protagonist is partially or totally inhuman(or treated that way) and the movie is mostly about their struggles with humanity.

would you care to reconsider who you would save from the cliff if i were to remind you that i have two daughters, a wife and one in the oven.  all of them count on me for emotional and financial security.

all peter has is unlimited potential.

All the time you spend hanging off that cliff trying to convince me and not peter that you are more valuable is strength in your fingers you are wasting.

Then you'll have plenty of time to try and convince Peter than you are more valuable than him.  And even if you can't convince him, if you out last him, you win.

What's the weirdest thing you've done as kid?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 25, 2006, 06:54:46 PM
I read that as "I'm not fucking Harry Potter."

I'm sitting her trying to think of something weird I did and i keep coming up with stupid instead.

One fun odd thing that I did that comes to mind is I would jam the water hose into the ground as far as i could, and then turn on the water and watch a little volcano of water and rocks and stuff erupt, then build a dam, and a channel, and repair all that.  Damn, that was fun, tempts me to go out and do that now.

However something that borders on commiting-to-therapy worthy that I did was involved with black walnuts.  I have a black walnut tree in the back yard, and I would take them and commit many a project with them.  I once built a 4 foot tall person out of them and toothpicks(it didn't support its own weight well, it kind of lurched over like it had been doused in toxic chemicals.)  I also enjoyed torturing them(with nails, and knives, and hammers, and shit) and it was some really sadistic sick shit.  My fort in the back yard had so many black walnut skeletons in it, it looked like the opening scenes from terminator 2.  Considering what I did to those walnuts and how much I enjoyed it, i'm sure if anybody did catch me, they'd have wanted to commit me.  On the flip side... I was once asked by a teacher(because i give off a weird creepy vibe oh i'm sure) if i ever gutter a kitten and made it walk around.  I was horrified then, and remembering being asked that now, i get the same feeling of horror in my stomach.  What does it say about me that the thought of harming live animals horrifies me whereas I have no problems in murdering LEGIONS of black walnuts that I pretended were alive(i didn't actually pretend they were people, just alive, like the doll from the movie Chucky).

Another lovely hobby I enjoyed was building k'nex and lego people, and mutilating fruit and sewing up the fruit skins around the k'nex people and watching the flesh dry and rott onto the k'nex skeleton.  God damn, my childhood was fun.  I'm gonna go buy some fruit and get cracking on this, I don't know why I stopped.

If you ever adopted a kid and the kid started creatively mutilating fruit effigies, would you worry, investigate but not worry immediately, decide to only worry if it progressed to animals, or join in yourself and hope to god DSS doesn't see it?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 25, 2006, 11:00:20 PM
I'd first observe passively, and act like it isn't bad or good.  Then I'd try to figure out what the kid thought he was doing, what it meant to him.  I'd observe his personality and be wary of any signifigant changes, or anything which indicated potentially dangerous thought patterns.  If i decided he might be developing some genetically predisposed destructive thought patterns i'd create a story about a special kind of school he was going to attend and get him into therapy.  If i decided that he was normal, i'd just create a routine of implying to him through actions and comments that cruelty to animals and people is bad without every strait out telling him.  If i decided it was harmless, i'd observe for a long time to make sure, and then write it off.  And then i'd hope to god DSS doesn't see.

Haha, that reminds me of me as a kid. I used to get the garden hose, climb a tree, and stick it in the tree pointing at a certain location, leave some bait at that location (a toy or something), and then sit by the tap waiting for my sister to fall victim to my cunning plan!

Okay, returning to the island theme- which would you choose? http://whatdoyouchoose.ytmnd.com/

Well you changed it to that avatar because of the suggestion that you were Harry Potter.  If the avatar said, "I'm not fucking Harry Potter."  It would imply we suggested you were fucking Harry Potter.  So for a moment it looked like you were denying that you had fucked Harry Potter, when we never said that you did, so it seemed like a strange nonsequiter that maybe indictated you were in denial.  (Keep in mind, I thought all of that in the span of a glance, because on the next glance I realized that isn't what it said.)

I assume the mermaid with a fishes head can't talk, so the mermaid with the top half human.? Besides being more interesting to me personally, she is more aesthetically pleasing, and if you know me and my personal preferences, the hole i prefer is on the top half.

I'd also like to remark(kind of late) that if somebody phoned me and described everything in room in perfect detail I could take a vacation to paris and be home before they were done.

"...and the 745th mountain dew can with the dent in the lower portion positioned perpendicular to mountain dew can 423, and sitting just above the robitussin stained pizza hut box with the hole outlines put in it from where you pressed beer cap number 62 in 5 or 6 times, and the pizza box with a dry decomposing slice of pizza in it, not the pizza box with those shards of glass in it you aren't sure where came from, the pizza box balancing precariously on the upper left of..."

Do you own any sex toys?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 26, 2006, 05:21:40 AM
I have my kitty.  I live in an existence that is without disappointment.

I'd require my arms and face be unscarred.  Not because I like them, but in the careers i want to pursue, it would cause an negative effect.  I'd prefer that the nerves in my sexual organs remain intact.  Any numbness that might occur through multilation and damage, i would not be happy about.  I also would prefer feeling in my face, tongue, and arms.  I'd prefer my muscles and tendons not be permenantly damaged, although I am not terribly picky.  Also I think that as long as we go to the hospital to reattatch it afterwards, it might be fun to experiance flexing a muscle and having my leg not flex.  I would hesitate to engage in any mutilation which is seriously life threatening.  Such as organ damage, or damage to the nerves and central nervous system.  I'd be wary about any kind of asphyxiation activity, just because of the high probability of fucking up.

Most of the rest of the body is fair game.  Although I may require some serious pain killers if you are going to be carving a happy face into the back of my thigh.

I'd also be concerned about the womans underlying enjoyment behind damaging my body.  Because if I decline to let her do more dangerous things but the danger is part of the arousal, i'd be afraid that in the throes of passion she'll go too far.  However if somehow she wants to damage my body because of what i deem is an undangerous fascinations, have at it.  I enjoy a good injury.

No, no sex toys.  All sex toys i've ever heard of are things that do not appeal to me.  I dont mind others using them, but they are usually a big turn off for me.  If for some odd reason they wanted to use one on me, i might be willing, but i doubt i'd enjoy it.

Just because it neither resembles a cock or a fake pussy.

I don't know, i suspect that early in his career he didn't know where he was going but he always felt in his heart that it was his path to work in sex one day, and when that day was realized he felt whole.

I've lied(using my definition of lie) 3 times.  Each time to end an argument that had gotten into a infinite loop and wouldn't end unless someone bended and it was about a very serious topic that meant emotional scarring if it kept on without resolution.  So I lied strait faced and earnestly.  Not going to say it was the hardest thing to do in my life, but it is definitely in the top 3.

I don't know, is the blindness really something you want to correct?  As long as you are blind you are safe from the sex toys!  Well.. seeing them anyway.

And in answer to your avatar quote: "Prozac isn't annoying, everything he does is terribly cute."

I have kissed and been kissed by a guy, non french kissing.  I don't think you could call anything i've done making out.  However I have known several gay guys who made it clear they might have liked trying that.

My pillow would not survive that.  When I have fantasies about making out I rarely do anything but lie still, and let my mind move.  But when I do move it is just a little air humping and groping.

Okay then, what would your ideal custom bathroom be like?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 27, 2006, 08:11:30 PM
I'm still working on the exact design.  I don't have much education in engineering so i'm sure there is a far better minimalistic approach to this than what I'm thinking of.  What i've got so far is pretty grandiose.

The bathroom would consist of 2 or 3 rooms.  And the door would be virtually an airlock(i'm not looking for perfectly air tight, but i don't want much if any heat escaping.  The bath itself would have a seat in it, as well as a tub, and a standing area.  It would have mutiple shower heads(i'm not sure how positioned yet), and i'm leaning toward a curtain rather than a glass door.  The key to the room would be an air system, that keeps the room at a certain tempreture that minimizes the feeling of cold when stepping out of the shower.  Since the door is air tight, it would require a private heater that recycles the air.  I might decide to put in an air dry system that blows me dry(because i swear every day when i dry myself with a towel I forget some area, and it is different everyday).  However that borders on the grandiose.  Also, i'd like a toilet with a bidet in that bathroom.  There are some other things I'd like in the bathroom but the previous mentioned are essentials.

I just hope one day somebody will ask, "You make 70 thousand dollars a year!  Where does all that money go?"
And I can say, "To my bathroom!"

How would you like YOUR funeral conducted?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 27, 2006, 10:07:28 PM
Firstly, I want the funeral conducted in or right next door to a hotel.  The funeral will have an open bar, it will be catered, there will be video games, and TVs for movies provided.  I want music to be playing(the songs I will pick, an example would be Cats on Mars). http://www.dark-sanity.com/Cats On Mars - Cowboy Bebop.mp3

I'm not sure if I want my body donated to science, or donated to a bunch of necrophiliacs, blown up with C4 or taxidermed in a pose and put in display during the funeral.  If I am in a pose, I want to have my hand set so i'm holding a bottle of tequilla, and I want to hire a guy to act like a priest who keeps sneaking sips out of the tequilla bottle, and by the time any words are said, the tequilla bottle is empty.

I want 2 people cosplaying and xellos and filia to be married at some point during the procedings.  I'm not sure what I want said, but i'd prefer it wasn't some bland bullshit like, "An honest hard working man, who dedicated his life to helping others,"  but rather something fun like, "And i'm sure if he was still with us today he would say, 'Does anybody remember if you are supposed to drink beer before liquor or is it the other way around?'"

I want the food to be so good that 2 people will be sobbing and consoling each other and having the whole situation be akward, and then take a bite out of something and go, "Ohh.. that is good, what's in it?"  And then go off on a conversation on preparing food.
And I want a group of belligerant drunken men smoking playing card games and yelling at the top of their lungs and bitching at each other over whether a strait flush beats 4 of a kind.

I want male and female strippers at the funeral, and I want dancing poles there.  Not necessarily installed, but rented.

The reason it would be at or near a hotel is so that everyone can get totally shit faced and not have to drive home.

I'm curious about... everything.  There is no subject(as long as learning it involves concepts and patterns rather than rote memorization) that I couldn't be captivated by learning about it.  Although some of my favorite curiositys include psychology, biology, chemistry, neurology, sociology, history, literature, economics, politics, general science, religion, ecology, philosophy, engineering, art and any other study which explains stuff about humans.  I guess it could be said my basic fascination is with humans.  However I view humans much more like a giant machine, it is a masterpiece of engineering(even more amazing is that it was an unplanned creation), and am fascinated by it in the same way I am fascinated by chemistry rather than how some people admire humans for their virtues and that they might have a soul and shit like that.

What are your major talents?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on May 30, 2006, 09:47:46 AM
One big one is learning.? Learning in general.? I can learn pretty much anything, very quickly.? Even things I have trouble with at first, i can organize the information, organize the associations so that it is a pattern that makes sense to me.? I used to have terrible trouble learning, but then I decided to try and learn it my way and now it just flows into me.

Another big one, although it sounds stupid is probably problem solving.? Or more appropriately solution assessment.? In any given problem it only takes me a second or 2 to figure out the optimum solutions to a problem, and then I just compare them.? And this doesn't just apply to puzzles and games, I can and have applied this skill before in life.? And in important situations that had significant results.

I'm not sure to call this a talent, but I know I have excessive confidence.? I have a sense of conviction that what I decide is right and okay(for me) is safe to push for.? It stems from the solution assessment thing.? I can so clearly see the solution to a problem that I have a lot of confidence about pursuing it.? I don't try to decide what is right for everybody, but I do decide what is right for me.

Humility.? I can understand why this doesn't seem true or doesn't fit with me, but it is something I practice with a great passion.? When practicing philosophy you may think about the concept that we as humans don't and possibly can't know anything, but after thinking about this you have to go on living, and practically forget it.? I try to keep it in my in my day to day living.? I don't have the right to decide what is right for other people.? Some people may believe they do somehow have a right to decide what is right for other people, and i disapprove of that, but I only have dominion over myself, so at least I can live never trying to decide what is right for other people.
Another aspect of the humility is in learning.? I don't use knowledge like a certification that my opinion is more valid than anyone elses.? And I also don't consider the things I do learn absolute.? For most people they take ideas as they are passed to their "under consideration" tray, immediately assess it for usability and then put it directly into the "absolute reflection of the universe" tray, or the "really likely and workable model that probably is the truth" tray.? And only remove them under rare circumstances and with great reluctance.? My ideas go into the "under consideration" tray and never ever leave.
There are probably some other aspects of humility but i can't think of them now.

I want to say that I care about others, but this isn't totally true.? Making others happy makes me happy.? And while that may not be a talent, it sure as hell is advantageous.

The only other talent i'm gonna mention in this post is that I know myself well.? I have skill and interest in introspection, and me and my emotions are good friends.? And I can read my own emotions well.? And I respect my emotions and they in turn allow me to control them when it is really important.? (It is a lot easier to suppress incredible anger if you feel emotionally satisfied in other parts of your life)? I have no illusions about how I work and I am not ashamed about what I can't change.? This helps with planning.? I've told friends before, "I don't want to, seriously, but I know by the time, in an hour or 2, i will have wanted to."? And be right every time.

Where does the pride come from?  And don't say I won't understand.  Either say you don't understand it totally either, or explain it as you would to a child.  Does the pride come from a feeling of accomplishment on your part for having produce such productive or happy children?  Do you admire their accomplishments?

A dolphin.  Their world has 3 dimensions of movment, true it does have a cieling and a floor, but i'd like to be an animal which can fly all around their environment.  And it is better than being a bird because it takes no effort to be suspended in water whereas you actually need to work to fly.  And dolphins have the capacity to have sex purely for pleasure, and I suspect they are fairly intelligent, and probably appreciate the life they live.  So I get to be social, and well fed, and free to move all over my environment.

Nothing much to tell.? Essentially me and a few other people went camping and got blitzed and one of the girls really really wanted to have sex but her boyfriend wouldn't go camping, so she basically pounced me.? And I was exploring and that is when she asked me if i knew that was her ass.

I so did not want to have sex with her, that it was pretty accurately like being guilted into helping your friend move all their crap to a new appartment.  That kind of reluctance.

but the point about not knowing it was her ass was just an act.  you played dumb well, but you knew exactly what you were doing, and where you were. ;)

Doesn't this count as rape as these days?  Seems you practically have to have a contract signed in blood nowadays, or is ok if it's a guy being pressured into sex and taken advantage of while drunk?

A case that this was rape could be won in a court.  It would be a much higher chance that she'd win than i'd win with the same accusation.
How to determine rape is another one of those unanswerable questions that is virtually impossible to legislate and make fair.
Based on how I see it, they bias the laws towards the group that bitches the most.  So to make it more fair, we'd need a shit load of men to complain that it was being unfair towards us.
And it is extra difficult for us to get fairness given back to us because we have a long standing moral guilt debt to pay back to all the people whose parents were opressed by our parents.

get over it! i've lost count of the amount of times i've been guilt-tripped in to having sex. sometimes, i've agreed to having sex with someone just to avoid a confrontation (for example: not being able to think of a way of politely rejecting someone, without causing offence). i can't imagine that it's much different for other females.

it's never occurred to me to consider any of these incidents as "rape," though. everytime, i have blamed my own lack of assertiveness for what took place. i suggest that any men, who find themselves in similar situations, do the same and stop looking for someone to blame for your own inadequacies.

Whilst I agree with a lot of what you have said Omega I also think that the issue is getting more and more complex.  A recent campaign in the UK media has been claiming that drunk women aren't capable of giving consent and this is where I believe the issue gets muddy.  If a woman can say yes, but then claim it was rape because she was too drunk to make that decision why doesn't the same go for men??  And in those cases is it really rape or just a question of second thoughts when sober??

well, that is something that i have no personal experience to base my opinion on, since i have never been so drunk that i've not had any idea of what i'm doing. however, i have regretted decisions that i've made whilst drunk (and sober) but to accuse someone of rape - just because i misjudged the situation, for whatever reason - seems a bit extreme, to me.

Yeah I've never let myself get in such a state either.  I feel that these figures kind of illustrate just how muddy the issues is getting:

Quote
Of 677 rape complaints made in London in April and May,  235 (35%) were alcohol-related and 85 (13%) said they were uncertain if they had been raped.

i should probably just clarify that i think there's a significant difference between someone consenting to sex because they were "tipsy" and someone taking advantage of a person who is so out-of-it that they can barely move or speak. although, proving the difference in court would be rather tricky.

Definetely- no question there at all.  But putting all the onus on the man I feel the campaign isn't doing all it could to prevent rape,  it should also focus on encouraging women not to get so drunk they have no clue what they are doing.  However if I remember correctly this campaign is at least partly funded by the alcohol industry- and lets face it do they really want to discourage binge drinking??

I'm over it, i'm just stating an observation.  It might be a terribly unflattering observation towards women, the legal system, and the ethics of humanity, but i calls 'em likes i sees 'em.

There is a significant difference in reality, but in the courts it isn't significant if it is unprovable.

i think that both sexes could do with a little guidance about the dangers of excessive drinking. i don't like the way that some people try to shift the blame of rape on to a woman by suggesting that she shouldn't have let herself get so drunk, in the first place. i think this is an equality issue, as women should be free to behave as irresponsibly as men and still have their rights protected! personally, i try to avoid situations where my vulnerability is increased, but this is a logical decision based on my knowledge of how the world works (ie: extremely unfair, at times) - not out of a sense of moral duty to do so.

The reason I brought it up wasn't because I thought Nomaken had been raped and should get all victimy about it; I only brought it up because the double standard annoys me, where drunk guys 'get lucky' and drunk girls 'get raped'.  It's not a mere issue of social perception either; it's a double standard that results in guys going to jail because of women baulking at their own actions the next morning, while a guy is going to have a much, much harder time convincing anyone that he wasn't up for it.

and i'm just saying that two wrongs don't make a right - i agree with you that it is wrong for a woman to accuse someone of rape just because her alcohol intake effected her judgement and / or she gave in to emotional blackmail. so, i don't understand why you are advocating that men should behave in a way that you condemn.

another thing that you should ask yourself is why? some women are inclined to do that - ever read To Kill A Mockingbird? if society put less pressure on women to be sexually "pure" this behaviour would decrease, i'm sure.

I'm not advocating that at all; I'd like both genders to take responsibility for their actions and for people to stop being so cowardly and litigious in general.  However, as long as this situation proves advantageous to women, it'll find support under the banner of feminism, so the quickest way of rectifying the situation may be to up the absurdity of the situation, so that everyone gets shocked and atually thinks critically about what's going on, rather than religiously following a dogmatic position.

Take the "women can't give consent if they're dunk" argument as an example.  As long as women can use that as a stick to beat guys with (for whatever reason, and I'm not saying that all women would do this), it'll have little opposition from the feminist camp, and men who oppose it will be labeled chauvanists.  If, however, "women can't give consent if they're dunk" became "people can't give consent while they're drunk", then the first case of two people having sex and then charging each other with rape (possibly when one counter-charges to an initial charge by the other) would force a sudden reexamination of the situation, since nobody would be able to ignore just how fucked up it was.

Sometimes the quickest way to make something better is to make it worse first, so that people sit up and pay attention.

there's a difference between being taken advantage of, and getting so stupidly pissed you don't know what the fuck you're doing.

another example:  i will fight until my dying breath for women to be able to wear what they want, to be able to walk the streets at any time of the day or night safely, etc., etc.  but i ain't going to wander down the nearest red light district with my tits hanging out, pissed out of my head and wearing nothing much more than fuck me boots and a smile.  whilst i think i should be able to, i'm a realist, and i take responsibility for my behaviour.  there's fighting for a cause, and there's being practical.

katy roife started this "decide whether or not it's rape after the fact" stuff (as far as i know), and has done no favours whatsoever to those of us fighting to make the treatment of rape victims fairer and less traumatic.  there is a case for becoming aware of sexual abuse/rape with hindsight, though - it's happened to me, and it took someone else to help me realise what had happened - i'd refused to acknowledge it, due the horribility of the whole thing.

so i don't think there's a definite, clear rule of thumb, here.  so one has to err on the side of caution.

it basically needs massive re-education - both men and women - as to what's acceptable behaviour, and what isn't.  we appear to be back to responsibility, again.  is it any wonder it's one of my hobby horses...?   :-\

are you seriously suggesting that you think it would be a good idea for more innocent people to be accused and convicted of rape, just for the sake of raising awareness?! also, that plan of action wouldn't necessarily lead to enlightenment about the issue; it could just as easily go the opposite way and lead to a society where people have to fill out paper work and sign consent forms, before they're allowed to fuck each other.  i'm sure that Bin Laden and his pals thought they were doing a good job of creating awareness about western economic domination when they planned the 9/11 attacks but that doesn't necessarily make it right, does it?

I think it's better that men and women be equal in having to tread carefully, than that women should have a legal trump card that they can play against any guy they don't like, or to soothe their concience after little daddy's girl has a wild night on the town and wakes up naked with some guy.  Ideally we should all be adults about it, but since when was life ideal?  I'll settle for equality of stupidiy while we work on getting equality of the level-headed.

How would it really affect the number of rape charges though?  Would a women be so quick to accuse a guy of rape after a drunken night if he could accuse her right back?  Perhaps more people would go to jail, perhaps fewer people would go to jail, but if someone can accuse me of raping them on the sole basis of them being drunk, it should be my right as an equal to them to accuse them right back for doing the exact same thing to me.

possibly. but, in the worst case scenario, it might even become a competition to see who can report the "crime" to the authorities the quickest.

Perhaps more people would go to jail, perhaps fewer people would go to jail, but if someone can accuse me of raping them on the sole basis of them being drunk, it should be my right as an equal to them to accuse them right back for doing the exact same thing to me.?

but, wouldn't it be better  if neither sex were able to accuse the other of a crime that hasn't really been committed? i don't see how imposing more dysfunctional legislation on people would make that goal manifest any quicker (and it would cause the problems that i have mentioned in my previous posts, too).
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything

The legislation is already quite thoroughly dysfunctional; the change I proposed wouldn't make it more dysfunctional, but it would make it more equal in how the harm of the dysfunction is dealt out, and make the dysfunction more obvious, thus affecting change more quickly.  Of course it would be better if neither sex could accuse the other of non-existent crimes, but what universe is that ever going to happen in?

dysfunction for equality!

just to illustrate how bizarre your suggestion is, imagine if women had demanded that no one  was allowed to vote until they were allowed to do so, too. for a start, it wouldn't have happened because The Men wouldn't have allowed it to and, secondly, you would be doing society more harm than good by taking away the rights of a high percentage of its citizens.

on a practical note, i suggest that you campaign for equality the same way that women did - by chaining yourselves to railings and throwing yourselves under race horses. i've got some chains, if you'd like to borrow them.....  ;)

I think if they make it a nightmare for both the victim and the aggressor in a rape case, then while that isn't fair, it would prevent rape more overall because the aggressor would be scared shitless of having to deal with the nightmare that is the rape trial.

Something I want to note is that, the fact that the courts are biased in womens favor is a huge reason while I will never approach a woman or do anything without explicit permission.  Not that I believe that they will really use it against me, i am not so distrusting of women, i'm just so scared.

that's just life, i'm afraid - humans are constantly dreaming up ways to fuck each other over. i could  get raped while just walking home from work; similarly, you could  get accused of rape when all you did was have consensual sex. or, either of us could get hit by a car because we misjudged the speed of the on-coming traffic when crossing the road.

all you can do is try to avoid taking unnecessary risks, without letting it completely take over your life; in your case that would probably mean not sleeping with people that you don't know well enough to trust and - in my case - it would probably mean not going out alone, at night.

its just sex.

as long as force or violence isn't involved, then it has no business being defined as rape.
because there are many women who are raped: in the traditional sense.
and all the new definitions of rape are making a mockery out of true victims of rape.

you do realize that both sides of this topic is about controlling anothers ability.

Not sure, I don't know the months, but it would be some time in the fall, when the leaves are all pretty and the tempreture is still warm but there are gusts of cooling wind.? And I would probably use my lurching pose(standard way of walking), and would only post scantily clad if asked(if i am going to be ruining somebodys fall, I want to be able to blame somebody other than me).

I'd ask "Is your anus sore too or am I on the bottom in this relationship?" And if he started asking the same question we'd stop around anus and both just say "oh."

We'd flip a coin to see who gets to take the first long long shower to wash away the horror and disgust.? The one who lost would probably get sick of waiting and go jump in our pool.

Sex stories too?  What about sex stories I write myself?  What about fantasies?

The other time was when this really really horny desperate girl asked me to fuck her and we had sex during school.

The wrinkly skin part of the labia minora disgusts me a little. (And I want to make this clear, I don't think anything IS disgusting, i just find it disgusting.)  But moreso i'm curious about it.  When and if I get a steady girlfriend, me and her are gonna sit down and i'm gonna find out exactly what sensations are accompanied by every kind of touch in every part of her body.  Because I find it hard to visualize what having a vagina feels like, and i'm curious about that.
(I figure if I ever find out a guy is my optimum realtistic mate, that if he really needed sex, I could probably get used to and maybe even like male genitals by exploring them in this same way)

I don't like pubic hair(from either sex), it is rough and gets in the way and it is usually an unpleasing color to me.  But body hair elsewhere doesn't bother me, and infact I prefer a womans arms and legs not be totally hairless.

Tongue kissing i'm happy with.  Very happy.

What about the way you live your life makes you the most proud?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on June 09, 2006, 08:29:27 AM
I have several consistent behaviors which I am proud of.  I'm always curious and playful.  I try to be original, and interesting in everything I do from day to day. (I especially love doing things simply for the sake of their strange uniqueness and pointlessness)  I am as about as open minded as is possible without getting commited.  I'm interested in everything presented to me.  I feel compelled to do my very best in everything, and feel like I could soar in ability, while simultaneously knowing that there will always be people greater than me and that not bothering me, and it doesn't bother me if i fail.  I live for the journey not the destination.  I am at peace with dying, but I see no reason to hurry the process.  I am at peace with the pointlessness of existence, and it causes me no despair or unhappiness.
But the thing which I am most proud about and what seems to be a rare quality is that no matter what happens to me I in someway(at the time even) enjoy what is happening and treasure every experience i've ever had.  Even the "horrible" experiences, I would prefer to remember them.  There is some aspect of every one of my experiences that make it worth keeping to me.

(I'm not really proud that I am compelled to be kind or compassionate to people because I am kind to people because of a selfish reason)

Here is the full answer to that question about the most moving scene i've ever seen/read/heard, ect.

The Iron Giant is my all time favorite movie ever.  It is touching for several reasons.  It is a story about an intelligence that defeats its nature, defeats its fate, defeats what some may call impossible.  It is a story about an inhuman intelligence, worse than that a totally alien intelligence, even worse than that a killing machine, that learns to value life, and truely value it like our ideal perception of how much life should be valued, and is willing to die to protect it.  It is a story about becoming who you choose to be no matter what you are told you are.  It is a story about the intolerance of humans, the fear humans have about what they don't understand, how they can hate so righteously and so blindly, and it is a story about a being valuing life so much that even though it is the object of that hate, it is willing to die to protect those who hate it.  It is a story about a thing that is as far away from being human as you can get becoming more human than any human has ever been.
Every sentance of this I've had to wipe the tears out of my eyes because I couldn't see.  Suffice it to say, it is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen.

Do you believe that some form of morality (not the ability to accept morality, but actual moral tendencies) can be, or is, present in humans regardless of what they have been taught and exposed to?? In simplistic terms, are some morals hard-wired in some or all humans?? Elaborate on this your answer as much as you like.

I think fairness is innately believed to a certain degree.  But it is very weak and can go either way.  And I wouldn't really say it is believed on a intellectual level, so it is more of an instinct than a moral.  But besides that, no.

Can you give your height both in PVD's (PMS Vaginal Depths) and PPL's (Peter Penis Lengths)?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on June 13, 2006, 02:07:04 PM
I'd have to know her vagina's depth, and your penises length.  6 foot 2 inches(when standing up strait which is rare), 242-250 pounds.

John leguizamo's father told him while driving one day, "Did you know that the average pinga is 6 inches long? .... And the average vaginga is 8 inches deep? .... There are over 2 miles of unused vaginga in new york city bobpy and were gonna find you some."

So assuming that PMS' vagina is 6 inches deep instead, and your penis is 12 feet long, that would be 12.3 PMS vagina lengths, and .514 Peter Penis lengths, I think.  Math isn't one of my strong suits.

Are you aware that one of your posts on WP uses the word "weapons" three times?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on June 21, 2006, 06:46:04 PM
I've got German, Dutch, French, Irish, English, Swedish, American, White trash, Morgan the Pirate, Stonewall Jackson, and a psychotic cousin.  That is it before I start getting into fictional characters.

I'm allergic to dust, cats, and practically anything that grows and lives outside my house.

I've never spoken to anything so that they could hear it.  Any time i've ever spoken to something, i was essentially talking to myself, and acting out a little imaginary play between me, me as the object, and me as the audience.  I've had conversations with ethereal concepts such as fate, rage, the color blue and the collective history of the world from 1800 to 1912, but the weirdest actual object i've had a conversation with is a babbling brook.

31726 Windsor Garden City Michigan 48135, phone number 734-422-5282.  I'm in the highest room in the house, and also the least hospitable.  Soon, i'll be in unconsciousness land.

Maybe women would tolerate eating cum if I didn't look like 40 miles of bad road, but I kind of suspect that whether they enjoy eating cum or not is an odd personal preference that they may have but probably don't.  And if they don't enjoy it, it wouldn't matter if they were sucking the cock of god himself.

Where is tent city?

I was not aware that I used the word weapons three times.  If it was a short post I designed to be well written that does not please me.  If it was a long post, three times seems fine.  And if it was not designed to be well written, I don't mind the redundancy and lack of variety.

Which post was it?  When I think of weapons I think of humans, genetically altered ones.

Okay, digital camera bought, awful picture taken.

I look a lot differently than I would like to look.  According to the media I am not ugly, I am either neutral or just below it.  I don't like how my appearence is not... consistent with my personality and self-image.  My image of myself is kind of cartoony, where my facial expressions are very exaggerated and expressive.  I am afraid, but moreso because I have the wrong face rather than simply an unattractive one.

Okay, now that I got that out of the way...

I found out about AS about 2 years ago(maybe 1, i don't keep track of time well), it was during my first semester of college.
In retrospect there were a lot of signs, but my father is also probably an aspie and he has just learned in life that even if people like him exist, they are just unlucky but more or less average and unspecial.  He has always said that he hoped that he could go into a doctors office, they'd say, "Oh you have X" and it would make all the problems he's had in life make sense, but he also says that is just a dream of his that ain't ever gonna come true.
I was reading a book and listening to an episode of stargate, "Window of opportunity."  And my friend schooly asked if I was gonna watch it, and I told him that I could see it in my head.  And then he asked, "What are they doing right now."  And I said, "Walking forward towards the camera down a corridor."  And I proceded to quote every word and scene ahead of time for the rest of the episode.  And things would happen like i'd start laughing before the joke came out.  And it was at that point that I learned that it isn't normal kind of memory to remember every detail of something someone experiences.  I then looked up eidetic memory on google, and then started to learn about AS.

Something else to know is that my father has always fancied me a hypochondriac, i don't think so, i'm just curious.  I don't bitch about my health, i'm just curious.  But I sent him the link to all the symptoms of people with AS, and he just said, "Yeah... that's you."

A couple months later I got a diagnosis from my therapist and proceded to realize how all the difficulities i ever had in school and life fit into this puzzle, and all the pieces came together.

I am currently in michigan.

Do the lyrics of the song need to be original, or can I pick lyrics from some song I know?

I don't practice any existing religion.  Any similarity between my beliefs and life practices and those of an existing religion are purely coincidental.

I think it is possible for a power to exist, but I don't like calling it higher or lower or whatever.  I think if a god exists, its confidence in its own abilities and validity should be so sure that it doesn't need me to kiss its ass, or be offended when i am not intelligent enough to recognize it.  More than that it should expect me to be the flawed mortal I am and be happy and compassionate towards me.  You don't get really offended when a 2 year old challenges you to a fist fight.  You just go, "Awww, that's cute."

So I think a power could exist, but i've never met one.  I wouldn't mind finding out I'm wrong.

While I have never met a higher power, it would be logically foolish to assume that a higher power is impossible.  However until I meet one, i cannot know what form it is likely to take.  And if I was forced to decide on what form it should take on the basis of a book written by man, i think I like tolkien, or Serial Experiment: Lain, or star wars, or lovecraft.  You know, something with nifty writing.  I have always felt that there the plot device in the bible where jesus sacrifices himself for our sins and then gets resurrected or ascends afterwards was fucked up.  If you sacrifice yourself, you should STAY sacrificed!  It isn't much of a sacrifice if you get it back after sacrificing it.  Somebody has to figure out how to rewrite the christian story so that it sounds at least better than star wars.

I don't care what people believe as long as their opinions are held in equal value with mine during basically democratically decided policies on what people are allowed to do and not allowed to do.

I think an unhappy amount of those who say they believe don't really, and also there is an unhappy amount of people who believe that do so blindly, and I would find it easier to respect those who believe who have really thought shit through, but I find those people are rare.  But while in the short term the stupidity and sillyness of people might matter, in the long term nothing matters, so you should get worked up about it.

I liked scooby doo as kind of a last resort, it had a simple formula, kind of like looney toons except shittier, which I could enjoy(like just above tolerate) until something better came on.
The fact that I have the shaggy look has mostly to do with the fact that I don't care how I look.  Although I do think i'm far more attractive when I have my head almost totally shaved, and when my beard is just starting to grow back (it is an odd effect, all my friends agreed I looked good with it even though all of them including me expected it to look horrible).  I don't plan to pay attention to my sex appeal until I got a good reason to.

I don't exactly have a favorite region of the brain.  I am interested in the brain in general so that I can come to understand humanity, and cognition and shit, but also and more recently because I plan to use my understanding of it to try and create AI.
If i was just looking to get a better understanding of humanity and cognition I can settle for just getting a sense of what all the parts do and how them doing that might cause humans to work, but if i'm gonna create AI I gotta understand exactly how all the parts work if I am to ever hope to be able to replicate it, so in a sense my current favorite parts of the brain are the parts I know the least about.  Those parts are the frontal lobe and memory(which isn't so much an area as a function).  I got this feeling I might be able to create a working memory engine with the ideas I already have that even if they aren't how the human brain works, I think will serve their purpose.  The frontal lobe I know next to nothing about.  I know about as much about it as wikipedia does.  Which must mean I'm not understanding a lot.

Thank you both with the comment about my eyes... I may have body dysmorphia then.  I'd be satisfied to know humans are supposed to look as greasy, and misshapen as me and the only reason I'm not seeing that in other people is that i'm not looking closely enough, but i haven't gotten close enough to other people to test this.

Well I can put a needle with some thread through and around many objects(including the upper layer of skin) but it might not resemble anything but a car crash once i tighten it.

And the most special place i've been to is between this christmas tree and a box.  I managed to bend my body in such a way that NOBODY suspected that I could fit in that place during that hide and seek match.

Scientists unveil female robot

August 09, 2006, 17:30

A group of Chinese scientists completed their work last week on a new robot named Miss Rong Cheng. The robot's designers say she is equipped with cutting-edge technology in human-to-robot interaction and responds to human voices.

The robot is designed to look like a woman and it is programmed to speak Mandarin as well as a Sichuan dialect because she will be sent to the Sichuan Science Museum in Chengdu to act as a receptionist and tour guide.

"Our institute has been making great efforts in developing voice recognition system for many years ... Meanwhile, the voice recognition function can make the communication between humans and robots more natural and personal, which highlights the progress we have achieved in making our robots more human-like", Yue Hongqiang, the robot's designer, said.

Robot to be sold to hotels, entertainment outlets
The cost of this project is $37 500 and besides dancing and greeting, the 168cm, 60kg "beauty" responds to 500 to 1 000 commands in Mandarin. It took around a year for the scientists to finish this first human simulation robot in China.

The designers hope to sell the robots next year to customers such as hotels and entertainment outlets. The most advanced robot in the world is sleek-looking Asimo, produced by Japanese auto-maker Honda. Asimo, who can walk at a speed of one mile per hour and climb up and down stairs, costs roughly $1 million. - Reuters

The robot is interesting, but I think it was designed with different things in mind than what i'm trying to do.  I'll be impressed when i see a robot who asks questions and gives commands rather than being able to comprehend questions and commands.

I never selected my avatar with my actual appearance in mind.  My avatar is intended to display a part of my personality.  You know in the matrix, how people have a "residual self image", well if i had a mental projection of myself, I would look more like a tex avery cartoon, or freakazoid, or the genie from Alladin.  While I try to behave and make expressions like that, less than a 10th appears on my face and body language.

I have hazel irises, like my mother, and my eyebrows are my fathers(they grow together, which i'm told doesn't look good), and the frame of the eye, and the slant of the eye is my fathers I think.

Do you think that being selfish of oneself guarantees a better chance at finding happiness than to act selfless towards others?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on August 14, 2006, 04:10:39 PM
Actually, I think that most of the time being inclined to be selfless has a higher chance of leading you to happiness than being inclined to be selfish.  But what really matters is how you see yourself, and how you think others see you.  Both inclinations can lead to unhappiness with certain personalities and environments.  If you are a selflessly inclined person that is around too many selfishly inclined people, you may get taken advantage of.  If you are a selfishly inclined person that is around too many selfless people, you may become guilty because you are taking advantage of them.  But in both situations if you don't mind when others see you as a tool and use you, or if you don't mind knowing you are using others, you can be happy in either situation.  For most people there is a happy middleground.  But much more often people will be happier being selfless because other people will be inclined to like them, and they will like themselves for being selfless.  The person who genuinely does not care at all what other people think of them is incredibly rare.  Most likely, the most selfish person you've ever met still does care a bit about what at least someone thinks of them.

A selfless person is selfish at their core, but they behave and think in a way that allows themselves and everyone else to forget about that reality.  In my life I plan to behave selflessly, but I know and accept that I am doing that for a selfish reason.

I'd cuddle with the cat.  I'd probably cuddle with you if I got used to you, and you were gentle and patient with me.  One of the reasons I figure it is less likely I will be able to end up with a male mate is that men tend to be aggressive, and although I really don't want to lead, i don't want to be dominated.  It would be scary.

the 31st of august, one week after the 24th when the question was posted, i used the calendar in the clock of windows.  And yes i masturbated 4 times the day i wrote that.  Once before i wrote it, and 3 times after.  I would have edited it if i went beyond the 4 total.

The 5 day schedule thing evolved.  I've masturbated less and less since i hit 16, currently i'm at a heat every 5 sometimes 6 days.

A bit of a nonsequiter, i'd definitely cuddle with the guy in mcjaggers current avatar.

Waited until night and was very good at predicting where people move around when in that house.  I've masturbated in relatively unprivate places, and gotten away with it on the premise that during the middle of the day, when you are doing nothing you aren't supposed to, you get left alone the most reliably.

Good, first i showered, then I went to this counseling office and got a diagnosis of ADD.  (I don't think I have ADD, but I want to try the drugs and see if it makes reading easier.  I reviewed the DSM IV, and helped myself spin some of the symptoms to the therapist in order to ensure the diagnosis.)  Then I went and sat in front of someones house for 2 hours hoping for them to get home, so I can get my wallet back.  And while I sat there I continually didn't understand and was confused about the mirror and why it reverses left to right but not up and down, and tried to make myself understand spatially the images I was seeing.  And I kept singing "kiss from a rose" by seal, with all the windows open.  Then after waiting for 2 hours went and picked up a few donuts, came home, and made my father watch the Evolution of Dance on google video and explain to him that I need to make a new appointment to the doctor to actually get the drugs prescribed to me.  Now I plan to lurk and troll on the site(i've always felt that the word troll means to camp around at one place like a troll under a bridge), play some Infantry, Attempt and fail to read some of my textbooks and complete some homework/review.  Eat up images from 4chan /b/, laugh, get horrified, be amused, repeat.  Pet my kitty, turn the air conditioner on and off many.... many times, and maybe drink a beer.

What, specifically, are your problems with reading?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on August 30, 2006, 05:20:16 PM
I read about a paragraph and start thinking about all the things I find more interesting and important about what I just read than wanting to continue reading, and at the time I feel like it is much more important to my personal growth and progress in this life to think about those things than to continue reading.

A good way to describe it, I think, is that I am just the opposite of most of the teenagers teachers get in classes, in that I am naturally an incredibly active reader.  In classes they always go over "being an active, rather than passive reader", and I think I would do well with the advice "Be a more passive reader."

My assessment:
You are obviously headed towards grad school, where your thinking abilities will be more valued.  But of course, you must finish undergrad.
Suggestion:
Skim the reading.  Pick out concepts.  Just do the reading when it's required for an assignment, ie look for answers in your texts.  Avoid reading whole chapters at a time.  Know that it's not just you.

She is drawn in 2 main ways.  One way is her cute version, another is sinister.  She is kind of an evil genius on the show.  She has issues which make her evil, she has genius because of genetics, but she also behaves very innocently and cutely(and i would like to believe just has a playful streak in her) at times.

It is part of my fake smile.  In genuine smiles the eyes are a bit squinted because a muscle involuntarily contracts when we aren't faking it.  So I squint my eyes ever so slightly when pictures are taken of me(I may actually have voluntary control over that muscle).

I knew that statistically(and from listening to other people confess their obscure fetishes) that several thousand people(if not more) must find my body type and condition cute or attractive, but I was wagering that I wouldn't meet such people for at least 30 years.

Finish schooling and become a fully licensed psychologist, then work as a therapist, not sure what area yet.  Get a job as a therapist, and continue going to school to also get a job working part time at teaching(college level i'd wager).  Also I will begin learning several languages at this time.  And then later, if i have the time and money, just get education on my various interests, to further my hobbies.  When I get licensed as a psychologist and have certifications to teach, I will start seriously looking for a mate.  I figure that pretty much anywhere in the world, I can get a job as a therapist or a teacher, and with the languages I learn I will be able to go anywhere(or at least many more places) if necessary to find my mate.

I'd like children, but with all of mine and my mates pursuits, we probably won't have time for it, if we do, i'd like to have them, if we don't, i'll let my students and my books be my children.

If it gets to the point where I am actually unbusy enough to retire I will, but I'd like to think I will be able to teach and learn for the rest of my life.  Then i'll die.
I'd prefer to at least be with my mate for 30 years or so before I die, but i'm flexible.

My kitty is doing spifftacular.  He's all like, "I'm a kitty, and I shall steal the heat from your body under the pretense of affection!  Ha ha ha!"  He's so cuuuuute!

I'd really like to, but one: I dont know if i can father children, two: I am far more interested in having the perfect mate and given my expectations of her we just might not have time(although if we could have children if one parent worked and the other didnt, and we both wanted it, i'd be willing to do either, have her work and me raise, or me work and her raise), and three: I'd really like to only have children if me and her could give the kids the time and attention necessary to really do it well.

If you make even a few sperm, they can use techniques such as ICSI (Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection) with IVF (In Vitro Fertilization).  If you make none at all, then that is more difficult, I guess.

think we should all establish a time (within the next week or so), and have a drunken chat conversation, with several members of I² participating.

shots every ten minutes and a cold beer always in hand (or wine).

we can name a designated log saver, who will post the declining results of the entire session.  that way, the next day, we can all use the blushing emoticon, frequently.

and, we should remember that this is Intensity².  so no holds barred.

also, clothing is optional.

who would be interested in this?

perhaps next sunday between 10pm and midnight british time.

that means i would be drinking by about two in the afternoon.

next sunday sept 18.  would you be interested?

Intensity, by not disallowing rude and cruel behavior, causes peoples lack of such behavior to shine and shows that that behavior is totally of ones own volition.  On sites that can ban on the basis of cruel and rude behavior, it may cause totally evil people to merely pretend they aren't monsters.

I'm doing good.  I got beer, I got candy.  I illegally aquired my 5th of tequilla, and on the basis of 1 swig I had last night, I can tell my alcohol tolerance has totally atrophied from non-usage, so tomorrow, I should have no trouble getting blitzed.  I have also aquired mountain dew, and antiacids, ensuring that I will stay awake during the blitzeddom.

I also got sword in the stone, that crappy disney animation that portrayed merlin as silly and absentminded and such.  I like that interpretation of merlin.  I hate all the incarnations of merlin where he is brooding and nasty and aloof.

Until I read back over the posts on the previous page I thought you were actually getting some three-way action, I thought using the mouse was your euphemism for getting them off and had a picture in my head of you laying between the two of them occasionally having to use you less prefered hand

I don't think the truth is pathetic or sad- I think that masturbation is seriously underrated and I don't think it should be viewed as inferiour to sex-even if you have access to sex whenever you want sometimes there's nothing better than just pleasing yourself.

Its hard to tell whether you're wrong or not, its not often something that people freely discuss.  My own personal experience is that its something I have done since I was around 13 and I've always viewed it as something seperate from sex (although mutual masturbation can be fun ;).  I've always been open about my desire to masturbate and I've never seen it as a sex subsitute- although it does often seem that lots of other people view it that way.

You can download an extension to firefox and set it to refresh after a certain amount of time.  https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/115/

Only annoying thing about "reload every" is sometimes I forget to turn it off and it refreshes while I'm in the middle of posting. So then I have to start all over again with the post.  :(

Well, i have some mixed feelings about it.  I tend not to like it when they are completely covered so i can't make out their facial features.  I am moreso into cumloving(face fucking, swallowing, a little facial) than actual bukkake.  My first impression when I saw her was that she was being eaten by a giant fly.  (No, my first impression was "Does he mean how i feel about forming genuine emotional ties with every mem-oh bukkake..")  But i will admit my cock did stir.

Okay, I put this off for a while because I had other pressing matters.

I have been and am studying an array of sciences in the pursuit of creating artificial sentience.  Basically I analyze biological mechanisms and systems and try to come up with mechanical and theoretical systems that could replicate the behavior or experience.  Something I realized that makes this whole endeavor much easier is that this thing will be alive, sentient, and have emotions and experiences only as real as our own emotions and experiences are.  If I am correct in my basic understanding of living, thinking things that experience shit, then they are merely all reflex machines.  And that life itself is a delusion.  There is no basic fundamental difference between us and a computer.  Our belief that we are alive and special and different, is, i believe, a evolutionarily influenced defense mechanism to cause us to defend our existence.

Other animals are all instinctual, they cannot commit suicide willingly(unless it is part of some life function).  We are creatures so complex we could commit suicide.  We have the intellectual capacity to understand that life is pointless, that what is good and right is arbitrary, and that this whole living thing is actually kind of a big inconvenience.  However I believe we've developed belief as a kind of next-gen level survival reflex.  And that the belief that we are alive and special, and that life itself is precious, is just a delusion we've formed because it is beneficial to our survival to believe it.

I explain this because no matter what I build, no matter how much it acts like a living thinking being, no matter how much it seems to feel pain and act like it is lonely, and act like it feels compassion, no matter how much it seems to be able to appreciate from an individual and unique perspective something in life as beautiful, there is no way I can prove it is alive, or experiencing anything.  But I can no more prove humans are alive than it is alive.  So quite cutely, considering these things as real will be a test of theory of mind on the part of humanity.

How I actually plan to do it is a bit sketchy.  I have a LOT of work to do.  Mostly all i've got right now are a bunch of ideas which form systems that could preform many of living things functions, and I still have to link them together in a coherent system.  But I am pretty sure that the details wont be that difficult to figure out.
I believe that there is a sort of core set of functions necessary to make a machine appear alive.  And then the task of making a sentient machine have the memory and behaviors and abilities of humans will just build on that.  Because there are no huge differences between us and cats.  Cats have almost all of the fundamental functions we do.  Pattern recognition, problem solving, capacity for memory, capacity for planning, capacity for forming relationships, capacity to learn, desire for food, rest, sleep, survival, to hunt, to play, to experience pleasure, basic reflexes, ability to coordinate movements, ability to understand a spatial environment.  Humans like to put a lot of credit to speaking, reading, having excellent memory and being compelled to do a lot of shit unecessary to our survival, self awareness, metacognition, but i don't think there is a fundamental change from the older brains to what we have, i think they are merely expansions on older systems.

But to give you an idea of how I am going to do some of the niftier stuff like learning and memory and how exactly to cause this thing to do shit, it is basically an association machine.  The whole thing is composed of a reflex engine with an (apparently) large capacity for adaptation.  Depending on how you look at it you could say it doesn't actually adapt THAT much, or from another perspective it is incredible how much it can adapt.  There will be a series of basic relfexes, the ones that you have little to no control over.  The basic reflexes can be modified to a degree, like everything in the system can, but in a sense the reflexes words are gospel.  Many many functions that appear to be complex and indictative of intelligence will just be many many basic reflexes.  There will be a whole slew of basic damage avoiding reflexes with individual positronic(I am calling my fake neurons positrons because i am a sick fuck) circuits having capacity for adaptation.  And they will be arranged intelligently.  Like getting hurt on the bottom of your foot causes your anterior thigh muscle to tense automatically.  And there will be reflexes that learn to keep your body upright and balanced during all the changing movement.  Like when you raise your leg, you will also move your arms and body to counter balance to keep from falling over when you raise your leg up suddenly.

The individual positrons will basically be able to have the capacity to learn through two things, refractory period and sensativity adjustment.  Some individual neuron circuits in the human body appear to not only be able to learn to be quicker in reflexive action, but appear to become desensatized to certain stimulus after repeated stimulations.  This, I believe, can be replicated largely through careful programming of the triggers for refractory period, and sensativity adjustment.  Basically every time there is a stimulus of one kind, the positron will require less stimulation to fire the next time.  But after every stimulus, there is a contribution to a refractory mechanism.  Many short stimulations will increase the temporary difficulty to cause a reaction.  And after many short stimulations it will require a much larger stimulation to cause a fire.  So during the short term it will adapt towards desensativity, but in the long term it will learn to be faster.  The tricky part is in the precise programming of the triggers.

A big part of this effort is in building a system which is as simple as possible and covers all the necessary functions as possible.  I believe the solution is to create many autonomic subsystems that carry out basic reflexes, and series of basic reflexes, and then build all complex actions out of coordinating those subsystems.  So that some of the same subsystems responsible for scratching under your arm will be responsibility for coordinating you scratching your head.  The tricky part here is figuring out how simple to make the subsystems to make room for all the learning that a creature could possibly need.

After I create all the right subsystems, then it is a matter of creating the proper drive engine to execute these subsystems in the correct way.  Essentially the thing will have emotions, and after existing for a long time, i'm sure there will be tons of debates as to whether these things actually experience emotions or not.  But from a biological perspective I see emotions as largely things which set a mode of operation or behavioral tendancies in an organism.

In the emotional system there will be an "emotion" that makes it more likely that the thing will execute subsystems related to foraging and eating behavior, an emotion that will make the thing more likely to execute subsystems relating to fleeing behavior, or defensive behavior, or curiosity behavior, or a dozen other behaviors, and the thing will be built so that it can have multiple emotions occuring at the same time, allowing some complex and varied subsystems likely of executing at the same time.  For instance if its hunger emotion is more activated it might forage for food, but if a fear reflex has cause it to activate some defensive emotion then while it is foraging for food it might be quicker to reflex to some stimulus, more ready to flee, or to defend itself.

Another big thing I need to do is to create the right reflexes that cause social behavior.  For this thing to appear intelligent and reactive I need to make it have social tendancies.  There are a whole lot of things I need to cover to cause all the social behaviors, but I just wanted to mention that this will be a key thing so that I can say that a big part of how this thing is going to appear so intelligent, and act and think like humans so much is that its emotional drive system will involve all of the complex and often contridictory behaviors and tendancy toward behaviors involved in socially related emotions.

So this thing will be feeling and tackling and taking into account the emotions of many different things at once at any given time.  And this will account for all of the varied actions and seeming freewill of this machine.

So that is how the more basic shit will work.  Now how to build some of the more complex, abstract and unknown functions of humans, including expanded memory, more capacity for planning, speech recognition and use, self awareness, ect.

I have a hunch that memory itself is mostly an echo of experience itself.  That the parts of the brain, the association areas related to various senses are the closest thing to a storage area for memory.  The signals are translated in those areas from the body, from all the areas of sense, the cells in that area "understand" certain patterns of signals as meaning certain things.  Some reflexive actions take place, sometimes it isn't strong enough.  But when you recall a feeling, i believe the same neurons are stimulated as that are stimulated when you actually stimulate the feeling yourself.  What this does largely is make subtle adjustments to your emotion drive system, some stimulation is done to other association areas related to experience, sometimes more depending on the nature of the memory, and the mode of the emotional drive system.  Some memories are more vivid when we are angry or afraid, or are in a certain familiar situation.  In some situations our reflexes are faster or slower.

But in a basic simple description a memory comes from either the emotion drive system, or some other association area, or a stimulation, goes to the association area(and a preliminary reflex junction which operates parallel to the other system and takes care of basic reflexes using the same signal), stimulates the area that is the same as would be for actually experiencing the sensation, and then goes to the emotion drive center, and other association areas and this is happening all the time all over the brain and the emotion drive center and a few other mechanisms are regulating the rate and mode of this kind of constant bouncing around of the signals.  And as a matter of fact, at any given time you actually have many memories and feelings bouncing around in your own head, but they dont stay in your short term memory or awareness long enough or "loudly" enough for you to be aware and remember them.  This itself doesn't do much, it is your emotion drive system which causes pretty much every action you do, but this shit does some heavy influence and regulation of the emotion drive system.

Now this explains what memories are, but it doesnt really explain how we experience memories.  We don't actually experience memories in the same way we experience reality.  We have the capacity to form an emotional and physical record of some of this bouncing around of thought and form that into a memory.  Memories are pretty much just connected sensations that happen in series, and so many parallel occuring emotions and drives, and therefore actions can occur in this whole system at once that we are capable of coordinating very complex arrangements of sensations and connect them in series to form ideas and plans in an intelligent, logical, and useful way.

Part of the reason we believe in freedom of will is because we see other creatures whose actions are too complex and complicated for us to understand easily, and part of the reason we believe in the solidness of thought and experience is because we see other humans who can only express their thoughts and experiences and memories and feelings in symbolism using objects and actions in the world that is far more solid and simple and permenant than the actual transient nature of thought and experience.

So I plan to build this thing from scratch out of machine parts.  I don't want to program it on a computer because a computer is far too slow and versitile for what I need.  People who fantasize about how to create artificial intelligence often mistakenly believe that people are so versitile that the only way to do it is to have a computer build a self evolving model and make it super powerful, and it has to be extremely versitile to cover all the functions that humans are capable of, but our versitility is really just an illusion.  I mean we are versitile, but our versitility comes from hundreds of housands of simple relflexes working in concert.  And I especially can't use a computer since this thing needs to be capable of parallel processing and computers at this point are all single or dual process.  This thing might actually be huge, but that is fine because electricity moves at nearly the speed of light and neuronal impulses move embarassingly slow, seriously.  You can walk faster than the speed at which grey matter conducts signals.  White matter which is just conveyance of signals over long distances does move at like 300 miles per hour, but it doesn't do any processing.

And um... well... short answer yes.

Do you have any advice for someone with low motivation who wants to be more motivated?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on January 15, 2007, 06:06:52 PM
Try to see and feel what it is you really want.  Think about your end goal.  Where you ultimately want to be.  And try to feel, seriously feel how much you want it.  If you don't want it enough you WONT be able to rationalize the stuff you need to do to get there as worth it.  If the thing you see at the end of the road doesn't seem to be worth doing what you need to do now to get there, and yet you are bothered that you feel trapped by your lack of motivation, then maybe you don't really know what you want in the end.
Don't listen to what others tell you you want.  Listen to what you really want, and you are allowed to think of it, because nobody can hear what is inside your head.
And if it turns out you really want nothing, don't feel bad about that.  There is no standardized criteria for living life the right way.  If you want to do nothing, if you can be happy doing nothing, then you are blessed.

Overall, the key to getting shit done now, that indirectly helps you to get where you want to go in the end, is to try and FEEL, not just know, but FEEL how much you want the thing at the end.  Feel how good it would be to get it.  Then the things you need to do now don't seem like that bad of a trade.

I don't want anything enough to work hard for it, and I feel trapped by my own lack of desire.  Any time I think about doing something, I can't imagine how I'd gain any pleasure from it, and when I decide to do it anyway, I'm almost always proven right, and wish I hadn't bothered.  Even when things do work out, it's on the order of 'so-so', rather than 'woohoo', or even 'nice'.

Then I suggest either looking for something that you feel worth going after(try not to get discouraged early, it may be a long search), or working to feel okay about not wanting anything- which generally in this culture is something you really DO need to work at.

Yes, but if you take it too often it will destroy your heart and make you go insane.  Speed, of various strengths.  Now most of the time the advice to take speed is not serious since of the mentioned ill affects, but there is legal speed(such as many ADD medications) available which doesnt do either(most of the time), so it is possible to take a certain amount, at a certain rate and neither die nor go insane, but I don't know exactly what that amount is.

Personally, i suggest you take a large amount of dextromethorphan, it is a drug useful for soul searching.  It may help you to decide what you really want.  Large amounts are like 500 mg's of it.  To figure out how many mg's are in a bottle, check the back, it will tell you how many mg's are in each ml, and the size of the bottle will be listed in ml's.  Stay away from stuff with acetaminophen in it.

In general it is better to use self discipline than using a medication because it is healthier(effectively you feel normal without the chemical).

However, you can self medicate with a normal dosage of cough supressant.  Usually that isn't tough to get ahold of(at least in america) as long as you don't get it with pseudoephederine in it.  Just take the normal dose, or twice the dose.  It will produce a noticable effect, and wont kill you or destroy your brain no matter how long you do it(as long as you only take the dose once per 24 hours).

On the other hand, it is possible to get perscription medication from drug connections, however I advise against this unless you have a connection you trust.

But the best method of motivating yourself to focus, I believe, is actually wanting what you are trying to focus on.  Trying to get yourself to do things you don't truely want, is like pulling teeth, because whether or not you realize it, you are probabally actively working against yourself.

Do you think that psychopathy is a natural outcome of AI creation, and that special design considerations would be necessary to create non-psychopathic AI?  How difficult do you think it would be to create a non-psychopathic AI compared with the difficulty in creating a psychopathic one?
Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything
Post by: Nomaken on January 31, 2007, 06:12:29 PM
I don't think that psychopathy is a natural outcome of AI creation, but I think it is likely that a lot of early AI's may seem to be slightly psychopathic.

A lot of engineers who are trying to design AI are thinking about the skills they think humans are so good at.  Our ability to coordinate our actions, our ability to track moving objects, essentially problem solving abilities.

And if you make an AI that is composed of nothing but problem solving skills, it is likely that, however unintentionally, the AI will appear to be psychopathic at times.

This, sort of amusingly, I think comes from the fact that humans are not designed primarily to understand themselves, they are designed to do.  And in trying to create AI, we're applying our problem solving ability(part of the do), and seeing only skills we have that allow us to figure shit out.

So I don't think it will be more difficult for us to create AI's which never show any psychopathy because it is somehow inherently more difficult to build a machine like that, but because of our own lack of ability to understand ourselves.

I am personally really going out of my way to try to think of how to not make a psychopathic AI.  But I am sure I am going to miss something that will only become obvious when the machine does something psychopathic(actually I am not, I think I can actually pull it off, but i must admit the possibility i'll miss something).

But I don't think that AI, even with the biggest fuckup from an enginner, will produce killing machines unless that is specifically part of its design.  In the case that some engineer forgets to consider a situation, and it happens, the AI will only appear to be careless.

There is this scene in Ghost in the Shell when a tachikoma is looking for a dog with a girl, and it picks up the dog very ungently, and asks the girl if this one was it.  When she said no, the tachikoma tossed it away, and the girl got angry at it for being so rough to the dog.  The tachikoma didn't understand why, as it was the wrong dog.  The tachikoma wasn't maliceful, it just never considered that it was important to be gentle to the dog.  The tachikoma's designer never designed the tachikoma's to consider the feelings of others.

Now it is possible to do this.  It isn't something magical, but there is a lot of room to make an honest mistake and miss something.

I actually think it will be pretty easy to make a system that ensures an AI behaves non-psychopathically, but I think plenty of the first real AI's will not have these measures just because most engineers think all these is to AI is problem solving, and they will try to correct just by putting limiters on the AI's behavior, rather than actually giving it the ability to understand feelings and values and ethics.  And there is gonna be a situation they didn't think of a limiter for, and the AI is gonna do something careless.

Title: Re: Ask Nomaken anything

I don't really have ethical or moral beliefs in suicide itself.  What i believe about suicide is just conclusions based on how I understand the universe, and my motives.

First of all, I believe that beliefs are the foundation of thought and knowledge.  They are the only method we have to make decisions and think.  True we have what you'd call physcial evidence, but we must believe in the evidence for it to have any power.  And as uncertain as that may leave us, it may just be an unfortunate reality that that is the only certainty we can have.

Based on that, I think that life has no reliably knowable meaning or purpose.  If life has a meaning or purpose, we can only speculate on it, or coincidentally know it.  But we can never be sure we're right.

Personally life has been for me a big inconvenience.  Not terrible, not wonderful, just inconvenient, annoying.

I am not really into philosophy.  I figured out a while ago that studying philosophy wont lead me to answers, only more questions.  Intellectually I can not be certain of anything, intellectually I have no way to make decisions since I can not be sure of the validity of anything.  So to avoid sitting still unable to decide if any action is preferable to any other action, I let my "ID" run the show.  Or perhaps my "ID" always ran the show otherwise i'd have no incentive to stop sitting still and never being able to know anything.

My "ID" uses my superego to its own devices.  What motivates me is simple.  I pursue pleasure, satisfaction, and happiness, and I avoid unhappiness, pain, and other negative stimulation.

Now here is a big assumption:  Death is like unconsciousness, it is simply a lack of experience.  Now that is a big assumption.  It is equally likely that god exists, heaven and hell exist, and that suicide is a mortal sin.  However the more inactive a brain, the less experience is reported.  Such as during resting sleep.

So assuming that death is the end of experience, that life has no knowable meaning or purpose or value for that matter, death doesn't either, and life is a huge inconvenience, suicide is the logical conclusion.

However I have what some would call a sense of self preservation.  It isn't an intellectual thing.  And as much as an inconvenience as life has been for me, cumulatively the sense of self preservation, the pleasure I experience, and the desire to avoid the pain of death, I do not as of yet have enough incentive to try something different(death).

And for myself and other people there are many factors I did not mention which makes life more or less valuable and changes the validity of suicide.

Now this doesn't really answer whether or not suicide is the right idea.  But I think that given these things, people cannot be called stupid or ignorant or weak when they decide to take the gamble.

What is the WC?

What's your favorite color or number or something?

Purple and yellow combined somehow, if not that, purple.

I don't have a favorite number, but I do hate negative numbers, the idea that 0 is a number, and imaginary numbers worst of all.

why the name ?

It was the name that evolved from the first MMPORPG I played through several character names.  Necronomicon, necronomaki, necronomaken, nomaken.  I selected necronomicon from the Evil Dead series.

I have thought about taking a name which says more about me, and if I did take that name, it would be Lain, but I haven't made an attempt to get it to stick.

Yellow and purple layered perhaps.  Or in a pattern.  I like their contrast.

I like decimals more than fractions mostly because I think better in them, but I am fine with using fractions and irrational numbers when appropriate.

The reason I dislike seeing 0 as a number is because from what I can tell, 0 is only a place holder, and treating it like a number leads to inappropriate and impossible expressions like 2/0 equals undefined or infinity.

I dislike negative numbers because they complicate the math system.  If you treated -5 simply as a magnitude rather than seeing it as a negative number, then there would be no need for i.  I guess that a long time ago people came up with negative numbers for short term convenience, since -5 is a lot simpler of a concept than 5 units theoretical deficit, but it complicates the hell out of trying to find square roots with them, and so half of the whole goddamn number system had to have a new ass backwards counter intuitive set of rules made up for it.

As for WC: I like my color better.

No, i stopped using robitussin because it didnt get me nearly as high nearly as easy anymore.  I was well aware of the damage it was causing me, and I'd be using it now despite that if it werent for the aforementioned reason.  I use it to pull allnighters occasionally now.
