Title: Should women be allowed to be topless in public?
Post by: Adam on November 01, 2010, 07:22:45 PM
I think in areas where men are allowed with no shirt on, women should also be allowed with no top on.

Feel free to post relevant photos

Of course they should be allowed. I don't think public nudity should be a crime either.

I don't know. I think people are silly about nudity, but no. I wouldn't want to be sat next to some dirty ugly naked guy. I wouldn't want to be sat next to some dirty old topless woman either, but I think women should be allowed to be topless.

Before you answer yes to this question ask yourself:

Am I willing to see my Grandmother topless in public?

I'd rather not see my gran topless :zombiefuck: But I do think she should have the right to wander the streets topless if she wants. I don't want to look at an elderly man with no top on either, but he's got the right to walk around without a top on.

I think yes. Women's liberation issues are handled too lightly these days. :orly:

In short I say yes, but it's a lot more complex than most people realise. You'll have to get people fairly desensitised first due to centuries of "modesty", which alone can take a while. I don't think the sexual element of breasts will ever be removed, but you'll get bored of seeing them when every bint has them out. :zoinks:

Not sure about willies though, I don't want people to know whether I'm turned on or not by looking at my winking willow.

I have been there   When I was growing up in Florida the nicest beach in town was the topless one while it wasn't my grandma I saw plenty of other peoples grandparents.  It's didn't scar me that much so I say yes. With the same restrictions on stores and such men are held to

The age doesn't bother me at all. I think it's awesome when people are that comfortable with their body, no matter the age.

and even though it's legal, no one does it. There was about 3 weeks of "Oooh! Now we can" so they did...then it faded away.

I once met a woman who owned a bakery. She said she let her employees snack as much as they wanted, free of charge, and almost invariably,
after about two weeks of stuffing themselves with free pastry, they got sick of it and stopped snacking entirely!

Topless women and men are legal in Boulder, Colorado, but genitals need to be covered with a thong, at least.

The city council flirted with the idea of making topless women illegal in response to the topless thong and glove wearing female gardener who was offending some passersby, but they decided it would be wrong to make a law that treats women differently from men.

The streakers who cover their heads with pumpkins but leave their genitals exposed are still breaking the law.

It's never "just boobs" but I won't argue your reasoning, as long as it is in the right direction. :P
