If you have a problem with someone here, you can call out that person.The idea is that you both present your arguments in a callout thread. This usually involves calling each other names, doing searches in the database or out there on teh internets or (worse!) provide real-life examples, everything you possibly can to bring down your opponent. In the meanwhile, someone starts a peanut gallery thread where we ridicule and comment, and usually stray from the subject before page one is over. If we are lucky, someone posts boob pics.
Eventually you will get tired and both of you will consider yourself winners while the peanut gallery talks about something else. In theory the members will announce a winner but hopefully there will be more interesting matters to discuss.

Thanks for your confidence in me, TCO. :thumbup: I actually did write that though, unfortunately. Nick does not type with any punctuation or grammar whatsoever, and his online speech patterns have been compared to Randy's. I set up his account for him, and made sure he had an intro thread and an ask away thread. I even put his avatar up for him because he whined about not knowing how.

What the hell has my fight with Pea got to do with anything? That was a completely different scenario, starting with the fact that I actually did know Pea quite a bit, he betrayed my trust etc. etc. All that happened with you is that you felt butthurt about people being mean (emo) and threw an emo fit all over the forum. My opinion is that if there is one poster here that is really making coming here not enjoyable to the point where you'd rather not be here, then having the option to ignore them is better than losing a member or two.

I used to think that adding an ignore mod would be a bad thing because I thought it would be awkward if lots of people were always ignoring one another, but I think there are cases where it is better to ignore the posts of someone who really gets under your skin rather than to let them continue bugging you.
I have been ignored before and I have ignored one person's posts for a while, but I was too curious to keep ignoring them for very long.
